Farmer Joe's Marketplace

I think the produce here is better than most places and I also appreciate the selection of fresh bread and deli foods. Other staples I would prefer to purchase at Trader Joes.

This is one of my absolute favorite grocery stores. They have just about anything and everything I need along with some things I've never heard of. Their vegetable and fruit selection is impressive. I always find fresh vegetables. They have a great selection of milk alternatives as well as meat alternatives. You can grind your own peanut butter and get a fresh traceable steak or organic chicken. I've been known to stop and get a canned coffee and a fresh made sandwich at the deli. The ladies there are always friendly and make a mean sandwich! The store is set up very strategically. It is small but powerful and easy to find what you need.

This place is fantastic. The produce is top notch, reasonably priced and carefully displayed. This sections dwarfs other large retail chains and I've always been happy with what I've gotten. Lately I've been exploring the deli section and found a selection of if Po'boy sandwiches at the quick grab section. This was the item pushing me to write a review today. So glad this is in my neighborhood

You'd think this place would have fresher produce, given the name and the prices they charge, but often I bring home produce that's rotting from the inside out. Go literally anywhere else for better prices and fresh produce,and let this place be a last resort.

Nice neighborhood market, good selection and prices. Rarely crowded.Has the charm of longevity

I'm a fifteen year customer of Farmer Joe's on Fruitvale by my house. Don't shop here...it's over priced and the owners could care less about their customers. The owner would not credit me for the nasty drinks that I had purchased by the register. Go to Trader Joe's where everyone is always happy, prices are great and the customer is always right! I will never step foot in their store again. Penny pinching owners are such a turn off. My recommendation to them is...take some customer service classes. Not everything is about money!

Have been coming here for 10+ years. Lots of fresh veggies and fruits at a fair price, packaged items tend to be pricier compared to other grocery stores. Love getting their deli sandwiches too, so good!

I love this market - Oakland's version of Berkeley Bowl. They have lots of fresh organic produce, plenty of gourmet and ethnic food items, great meat and fish, excellent cheeses, and fresh bread from local bakeries - all reasonably priced. Peet's and CVS are nearby; parking is usually easy.

If i could guve it zero stars i would I recently purchased some cheese from here and it was two years old i was extremely ill after consuming it never noticed the date until i later went through the trash and seen it expired 7/8/23
