Elbo Room Jack London

Elbo Room is poppin'! They do karaoke earlier in the night before the DJ just spins the jams. Drinks are fairly priced and the bartender is attentive. Located near the entrance of Jack London Square, it's not too hard to find parking. This should be a spot on anyone's bar hopping list in Oakland. I'd definitely come back for the vibes.

Recently remodeled and under new management. Looks more modernized and updated. Very nice bar for a quiet night out or drinks for a date night. They have a beautiful lounge area to talk and hang out with groups. They have all the top shelf liquors and then some. The owner and staff were very accommodating. Drinks were on point. They also played really good music. I was out of town and was looking for a place for a couple good drinks and a cool place to chill with my friend and this location was perfect. Will definitely come back next time I am in Oakland.

What a fun place to hang out and socialize! The vibes are always good here. Under new management, they definitely took the time and effort to remodel and modernize the space. I like to come in during the week after work to catch happy hour and watch a football game. The weekends are even better with live dj and the option to get bottle service. The bartenders are super nice and they know how to make a nice strong drink! It's worth coming out of your way to check this place out. I would highly recommend it to my friends and family.

friends and I were walking by heard the music spoke to the security very welcoming invited us to go in have a drink. staff was great and they had a delicious food vendor outside. free entry definitely a place to go hangout with friends and good drinks

Dope place!! Awesome ambiance!! I came here to support my friend's band on a Wednesday night. Parking was easy to find -- they have street parking everywhere, pretty much in the middle of Jack London. Didnt have to talk to most of the people who worked there except for getting my wristband and checking ID. Other than that, the place had great energy. All the audience who was watching were super chill, probably the type of energy they usually have at Elbo Room. Bathrooms pretty solid, I mean its a bar at the end of the day! Not sure what other schedules they have, but definitely check out the other events they got here!

I went to the Elbo Room on a Wednesday night to support a family friend and their band. I have always walked by but never been inside so it was to my surprise that the venue was actually upstairs! When we arrived we easily found parking and then checked in and went upstairs after showing our IDs, vaccine cards. They scanned our tickets upstairs and then we were in. The venue was smaller than I anticipated but perfect for the type of show we were going to see - garage rock. We ordered a couple drinks, which were reasonably priced and strong. There was only one bathroom, that I saw, but it was clean and typically wasn't too long of a wait to get in. I'd recommend stopping in to check out one of the bands that comes into town or any local bands that play!

So this place is a little hidden gem In the Jack London area! Such a great staff and so friendly! The bartender was so sweet and you can tell he makes his drinks with pride! This was my husbands and I first time visiting this place! They had been shut down for Covid for a year and a half!! Poor little bar has only been here for a total of 2 years so literally right after Covid began they had to shut down! Now they just re-opened only 3 months ago maybe 4 they said and I'm so happy they are back in business! Honestly it's a place to visit especially if your looking for a pre or post dinner drink! Come check this place out! You will not be disappointed! Only thing is you must show proof of vaccination to come inside! So just be prepared if you do decide to drop by! Enjoy!

I checked them out for the first time last week as I came to see one of my friends' band perform. I came early to checkout the bar area before enjoying the show; it is very nice and laidback. They have cushioned seats around some tables for you to enjoy if you are with a group of friends. Since it was just me and my partner, we sat at the bar where the bartender immediately came up to us for service. We had ordered Moscow mules, which were made perfectly! They have a photo booth in the downstairs bar as well, I believe it was $5 cash to use it. Such a fun extra thing!Once the show started, we moved up to the upstairs bar, which was smaller because the space has a "dance floor" and a small stage for live music. It was a really cool space, with an impressive "Oakland" glow-in-the-dark graffiti on the wall. Service was just as good upstairs, although I would say the downstairs bartender made a better Moscow mule LOL.Really happy to have found a local bar with above average vibes and good cocktails.

Great music, nice bartenders but very empty at 11pm on a Saturday night. I wish there were more people. Also, the musical was in Spanish just fyi.
