My friend and I were looking for a place to meet up that was about halfway from SF and Sacramento, so we chose Vallejo :) This place had amazing reviews and plenty of veggie options. My friend got their chile-verde and I got a cheese enchilada plate with salsa verde. I saw that their churro plate got plenty of reviews, so I ordered one for my friend and I to share. They also gave us a complimentary order on the house :) Everything was lovely.However, it was the service that my friend and I fell in love with. The two gentlemen that primarily worked the restaurant made sure my friend and I were comfortable from the second that we arrived and sat down to when we left. They made sure our table was cleared in a timely manner in between entrees and dessert, and also helped pack our leftovers in such a sweet way where they were already ahead of us before we even asked :) One of the gentlemen even refilled my friend's soft drink from the dispenser machine, even though he really didn't need to.Just a warm and cozy spot to hang out with yummy food and amazing service, with lovely, eye-catching art on the walls. I'm a sucker for the Dia De Los Muertos art/paintings and how lovely the women look portrayed in different colors and styles. The parking can be challenging in their small lot out front but there is plenty on the streets nearby if you're willing to walk a couple minutes. Would definitely go back if I'm in the Vallejo area!

Went here for dinner on Valentine's Day. Was a better meal than most fancy restaurants. We started off with the Tostada Mixta, I had Camarones a la Diabla and my wife had Shrimp Tacos. The Tostada Mixta had fish, shrimp and octopus, with Salsa Negra. The ceviche was enough to make about 4 tostadas. That was a meal in itself. The a la diabla sauce was probably the best that I've had, with a good portion of perfectly cooked shrimp. Don't usually think much of rice and beans but these were definitely made with some love. My wife enjoyed her shrimp tacos but prefers their fish tacos. We were stuffed, then they brought out their complimentary Churros (anytime you dine in). A perfect ending to dinner. Service was great. They are constantly checking up on you. Drinks are self serve but they'll still get you a refill if they see you running low. Highly recommend this place.

Small family owned business. Various tables set about, you order at counter and it has lots of picture menus situated at counter and wall. Food was brought to our table. Large selection of food. This location has a Salsa bar with various flavors and types but also pickled veggies and hot peppers. Free chips to go with the Salsa. My 8 year old ordered the Asada Fries which came with lots of crema, Guacamole, steak and huge portion of fries. My son is a big eater and could not even finish half. He really enjoyed his dish. Our friend ordered the ceviche and Chorizo Tacos. He did say the ceviche lacked a little salt and pepper but the fish was fresh and plentiful otherwise. He also ordered two Tacos with Chorizo. He could not finish his entire meal either. I ordered the Molcajete Mixto which was the real winner here! Not only did we get that huge Molcajete full of various meats, Nopales, cheese and savory salsa but it also came with a massive side of Rice, beans, guacamole, and greens. The meat and cheese with perfectly grilled. Came with chicken, chorizo, steak, green onions, shrimp and that Salsa just finished it off, great flavor profile. I can't even imagine eating half of this, it is so massive. You would need 2-3 people to finish eating it. The to go container was so heavy and plentiful. Lots of Mexican Soda is glass bottles offered. Topped off with a complimentary warm fresh filled Churro by a staff who was super friendly, attentive, and engaging. As far as cleanliness there were various bits and crumbs about but not on the tables, small restaurant, high volume, understandable. Prices are completely reasonable for portion sizes.

I'm from out of town and I'm working the Sonoma racetrack. Got an Airbnb near this restaurant, saw the reviews. This is definitely a "unique" location but this place was exceptional!I got the shrimp tacos plate. Unbelievable!Even better was the service! I didn't get their names but they hooked me up and was always visiting my table to make sure everything was good. Super good dudes here. I can't recommend this place enough.
