Ooo man this place is not good. I thought Richmond would have some bomb Mexican food but I'm never even gonna try another place in Richmond again. Standards are so low here. While the burrito was a zero star, the salsa verde was actually pretty good. But good salsa verde can't save the food

Great local spot! From the food to the service, El Tapatio made a case for a solid four-star rating. The food came out sizzling with an alluring plating display, using the Molcajete, a black onyx stone used for mixing and cooking by Native Americans. Look up the pre-Hispanic history of such a beautiful historical and culinary artifact. Nice touch! The all-meat platter I ordered featured a few types of chicken, chorizo, carne asada, and shrimp--all sitting on this lovely red bed of sauce bubbling from the hot stone. Though the meat was well-flavored and well-seasoned, the two unsung heroes were the cactus and the homemade sauces! It's the little things that make for big flavorful tastes. Wherever you see or smell sauces, dip whatever you have on your plate in it. Trust! I put my hand up on my fork...then you dip, I dip, we dip! Only old folks will get that musical reference. Lastly, the service and ambiance felt like eating at the family reunion! A lot of smiles, drunk laughter, and good food!

Nice cozy family owned restaurant on Meeker with ample free parking, and large dining area. Restaurant has many favorites, plus a few, but I usually stick with their Super Burrito (they also have a regular burrito; the super is not bigger, just has more ingredients inside) with Shrimp as it's big enough for two meals. Meat is always fresh and tasty and the rice (I usually opted out of the beans) with the pico de gallo rounds it up to a meal. Staff here are friendly and the food comes out quickly.

I've been coming by here for years, meaning that I drive by and have been curious. I noticed when they had the truck and then built the building into it or it into the building. But I had no reason to go by. But my husband was looking for something to eat when coming home and he called me. I said that I wanted two types of taco, chorizo and carnitas and they tasted exactly the same. The same. I had to look to see which one I was eating. I have eaten a lot of chorizo in my day, since I started dating my husband many years ago. I know chorizo and should have tasted it. And the other meat, it could have been carne asada or carnitas. I have absolutely no idea what it was. I just know that it didn't look like chorizo but it tasted like it and that should not have been. They are so close to me, but I won't be back. Ever!

It's 9:30pm on a Friday night i keep calling the Restaurant to place an order so it could be ready to pickup but no one answers, they say their closing hours are until midnight? That's very unprofessional to not take care of their costumers.

Walked over to El Tapatito while getting my car washed. I passed by the restaurant for years, but had never went in to eat. I ordered two crispy tacos (Steak & Al Pastor), with Jack cheese, and a Jamaica. The Jamaica was okay, but the tacos were pretty good and hit the spot. The service was good and my food was cooked fast. The restaurant was also clean.

Best Michelada, open 24/7, great service. My go to spot in Richmond. Surprised at all the negative reviews.

Carne asada plate ( rice, beans, and salad) was delicious . Cup of coffee was really good too
