I will NEVER come here EVER AGAIN!!!!!This place is prices have gone insane first of all. I was craving some homemade flour tortillas yesterday and I came to the restaurant with the intention of ordering six tortillas, some beans and rice and some hashbrowns.When I got there, there was this gentleman behind the counter , and I had never seen him before. Granted, I haven't been in recently because the last time I was here, I had a chile relleno FULL OF SEEDS and these people tried to gaslight me into telling me that that was normal. After that experience, I had not come back in maybe over a year.So I proceeded to order some beans and rice and he shows me some containers that were so huge! I didn't wanna buy a gallon of beans and rice I just wanted a single serving for myself. I then asked for a side of cheese and he said they put cheese on the beans and I said OK never mind. Then I said I want some hashbrowns. I then ordered a beer and I sat down and waited for the food. When I got up to pay, the total came out to over $29 which I thought was a little steep, but given the prices on the menu I just kind of brushed it off and went home.When I opened my food, they put barely any cheese on the beans, I had chips and salsa, which I didn't ask for, and my hashbrowns were missing. I called the restaurant to complain, and the dude behind the counter that dealt with me, proceeded to gaslight me and tell me that I seemed "confused" about my hashbrowns and that's why he didn't put them in the order. I also ended up with a full dozen tortillas and they were corn and not what I asked forHe said I could come to the restaurant and bring back the food and he would give me what I wanted and all would be fine. I got there, and a lady dealt with me. I had seen her there many times before, but they were both acting like I was the one that was in the wrong. They never even apologized for messing up my order. I then proceeded to ask for an accounting of all the charges and then come to find out that they charged me for the chips and salsa which I did not order. They only refunded me the four dollar difference between half a dozen and a dozen tortillas but then charged me for the hashbrowns they nickel and dimed me, basically. No Customer Service whatsoever, no offering of maybe some free chips and salsa, which wouldn't have broken the bank for them given the prices they're charging now.I got home and I still got freaking corn tortillas instead of the flour ones that I asked for. And the hash browns were UNDERCOOKED AND CRUNCHY!!!I am SO DONE WITH THIS PLACE!!!Never.Again.

This restaurant is the best in Oakland in my opinion. Their shrimp tacos are the most delicious and more reasonably priced than most places I go. The service is fast and they are very polite. The ambience is lively with red booths throughout the room.

Good food, great service, good music and ambiance. I ordered the taco plate with rice and beans, the gentleman taken the order right away. Told me that the rewrite beans had lard in it, it's a serious factor to most that a lot of restaurants will overlook. I appreciate that they were straightforward and honest about it. Everything was great and I look forward to coming back here

Been living in Oakland fir some time and tried many Mexican restaurants over the years. We use to hit this truck all the time but honestly didn't do the actual restaurant till recently. Was recommended to go by a friend and this place delivered on the hype. We had pupusas with Curtido. Super burrito, rice and bean, and lengua tacos. The pupusas were lightly crisp on the outside and soft in the center with loaded meat and cheese. The curtido was crispy and refreshing with the vinegar twang to brighten the dish. Once done with those we moved to the tacos which were succulent and juicy. Amazing amount of meat that barely let them get folded and picked up. The beans were super creamy retried and rice done properly. Now the star of the show which is the gigantic. These burritos should only be fully consumed if you're ready to loosen your belt buckle, have fasted for a day, kept up with the exercise routine and received clearance from your health professionals. Seriously excellent eats with the creamy beans, juicy grilled chicken, meaty cheese and wrapped in a foot long soda can girth. Hella tasty. Pro tip: get extra napkins. They will be needed.

So here is the deal; this WAS my MOST FAVORITE MEXICAN JOINT IN OAKLAND . Unfortunately, today that has all been placed at risk. My family and I were dining in today, and I noticed very few familiar faces. Las hermanas, the owners I KNEW, I love them, Y TODOS LAS COCINERAS in the back, ¡DONDE ESTA! So we order from the lovely waitress, and she had a slight error in my jalapenos, however, what I ordered was a super burrito, pinto beans, light rice, and fresh raw jalapenos. What came out was a Luke warm mess. Super burrito, base, comes with sour cream and cheese, the only difference NOTATED on the menu between the regular and the super burrito. No sour cream in sight, no cheese either, and before i even got into it, i knew they put regular, if not extra, rice . And just to ruin it all, they put them nasty pickled jalapenos with the carrots, yuck, nothing like the burrito i ordered PREVIOUSLY. You would think this would be a simple transaction, but i was dealing with a guy that i think may be in over his head as a manager to deal with people. He tried to charge me and proceeded to try to convince me that it was my fault. I promise you guys, I can't make this up, this guy really thought it was better business to charge me for this burrito that was wrong per the menu, not to mention, NOTHING Like I ordered it. Then he thought he was compromising by discounting the burrito.So let me just break this down for you all out there, a few SAFE ways to deal with a situation like this. 1st make sure you aren't getting ANYTHING else out of that kitchen that night. You don't want to embark on this road until you have ALL your food. AND NEVER SEND FOOD BACK TO BE REMADE NO MATTER HOW NICE YOU ASK 2nd figure out what your paying for before you pay, and get the itemized receipt. 3rd of THEY mess the order up in any way, that's their fault, and they are professionals, you aren't, so treat it as such. If you are hard to understand, then take that into consideration, but for the most part, make sure you communicate what you expect and sl settle for nothing less than. Before we get out of here, let's just talk about management. This guy tonight literally told me I WON because what i said made sense, but what are these restaurants going through when their first mind is, it's a competition with the paying customer, and that something they, the PROFESSIONALS, messed up should be covered by the customer. What's the point in taking an order then, just make everyone what you think they should eat that might be a decent theme for a restaurant, I would call it IOFYS (I ORDERED FOR YOU STUPIDIN THE END, WHERE ARE MY LADIES AT CAUSE THESE PEOPLE TODAY, ARE GOING TO RUN WHAT THEY BUILT UP. To be fair the grilled chicken was delicious, I WISH THEY HAD GOTTEN MY ORDER RIGHTI hold no grudges, as a matter of fact, I intend on going back, but i gotta ¡habla a mis chicas primero!
