Always love ordering ahead of time and taking my barrio to go. This is the best barrio in the Bay Area point. blank. period. Straightforward with no frills, this authentic birria sport is great for brunch with family or after a nice long run. The service is just as good as the food too! Always checking in and being extremely helpful. Goat or Lamb birria? Both are heavy hitters here

This past Saturday Was my first time coming into this restaurant and I can say it was a great experience. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a worker and was told to sit where I'd like. It being 10am, the ambiance was very peaceful with some Spanish music in the background playing and not many customers at the time.In terms of service I really enjoyed how quick they took our order as-well as brought out the food. The server also came multiple times to check in to see if anything was needed such as water or tortillas which made the experience good. Now in terms of food, I would rate it a 8/10 because although the plate looked very delicious, for $18 I expected more. The meat was only enough for 2-3 tacos so I had to fill them up with the rice and beans which is expected for it being a plate but I personally thought there should be at-least a bit more meat. The food was still very good though. And I really liked how the tortillas werent cold and was a great amount of them.Would I come back? My answer would be yes but maybe get a different plate that would include more meat for a similar price. Either way, I really enjoyed the experience and would recommend this spot anyday!

Visited this place hoping for authentic birria de chivo (goat) and we were not disappointed. We were saving our appetites for a larger meal later or I would have ordered a full plate. We got the birria tacos and birria nachos. So so bomb! Especially when topped with the spicy house made hot sauce. The place was legit, and the staff was warm and welcoming. Don't be put off by what it looks like on the outside. This place is a gem.

I came here for the birria, and I have to say, it was not all that great..It was not bad, but it had a funny taste. The staff is friendly , and the place is popular. Be prepared to pay a little bit, this place is not cheap..

I went here for game 5 of the 2017 NBA Finals to see the Warriors game. The bar was lively. One patron played a bunch of music from the jukebox at one point during the game which made it difficult to hear the game during one stretch making another patron at the bar frustrated. I had a cranberry juice since I don't drink. The bartender provided complimentary corn nuts & while I wouldn't normally have them I must say that they made a nice snack while watching the game. The only thing they had on the menu was tostada yet there was no vegan or vegetarian options since it was a shrimp tostada. I think there is a more extensive menu on the weekends yet might not be the most veg-friendly. I didn't come here for the food though I came here to watch the Warriors game since I was uncertain about the food menu had a home cooked vegan meal before coming here for the game.It was a great place to see the game as there was a lot of people yet wasn't overly crowded & since I arrived just after tip off was able to secure a seat at the bar. The big screen televisions were great for viewing the game. The Warriors ultimately won the 2017 NBA Championship by 9 points. I thought Cleveland played a great game yet the Warriors proved their strength in numbers carried them through. I predicted that Durant would win the Finals MVP which he did & his addition to the Warriors has made all the difference. All in all was a great place to watch the game & bartender was friendly enough. Congratulations for the Warriors for bringing another championship home to Oakland in 2017!

This is the place to come for authentic birria de Chivo. Con una chevecha uhuuu. The wait can be ridiculous but well worth it. Don't expect friendly people specially on a sunday cuando todos andamos crudos. Namas deme mi plato de birria de chivo y todos tranquilos. I don't live in Oakland but I demand my fiancé to bring me for breakfast every time I get the opportunity to drive or fly out here.

This restaurant was such a vibe!!!From the super cute ambiance, to the above and beyond customer service, to the great music, to the amazing food, to the super nice, generous manager. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely be going back! Had an awesome Friday night here with my coworker after a very rough day! This was definitely the highlight of our day! :) We will be back!!!

Don't let appearance sand location fool you - this place is off the charts amazing. I don't usually eat goat but the goat birria is absolutely incredible. Get it with some tortillas. Will be back!

The birria is a 10/10 micheladas 10/10 they close early so it's better to go in the morning and it does get packed a lot of parking and they always give you a few complimentary bean tacos with very good salsas and fresh cilantro and onions , not your average birria this is authentic so it does have a bit of a smell to it .
