my family and i went to el patio almost 24/7 when i was growing up. the service was always impeccable and the food was great. i moved away years ago but i made it my mission to come visit here whenever i am relatively close to the area and i'm sad to say that that tradition most likely won't continue. each year i've come back it seems like the food quality only gets worse. i went last night and the chips were rock hard and the salsa was watered down. my boyfriend got a super burrito and i got two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. my boyfriend told me that his super burrito was surprisingly bland, and i'm going to say the same thing about the rice. i had to douse it in salsa to taste any flavor. the beans are still good but the enchiladas look and smelled off. i can't comment on their quality because i didn't end up eating them. wasn't worth the $45 unfortunately. my last visit was in 2018 and the food wasn't as bad as it was for us last night but it's still not as good as it was 10+ years ago. i'm sure they've switched ownership again but in case they didn't i feel the need to mention that the owner in 2018 was extremely rude to me. he yelled at me for apparently "shoving" my card into the machine too hard/fast and said i'd break it. i most definitely did not do it hard or fast at all lol. that day i accidentally left my wallet behind and i realized it within 3 minutes. when i came back the wallet was off the table and when i nicely asked the owner about it he was even more rude and told me i most have not left it behind and that if they found it they would've put it in the lost and found and it's not there. very defensive. a few years later my social security card was being used (it was in my wallet that got stolen) smh.

came here for a company holiday lunch. The server was attentive and managed a large party well. She was patient and took everyone's order accurately. They have a bar for anyone looking to get drinks before sitting down. The menu had a decent selection of entrees to choose from. The restaurant inside is big inside, plenty of capacity. Everyone enjoyed their meal, I had tacos and they did not disappoint. I would recommend coming here again if you are in the area and looking for some good Mexican food!

My husband picked El Patio for his birthday dinner on Sunday, Jan. 12th. He saw they had chicken mole and he was excited to try theirs. I had a two item dinner plate with a cheese enchilada and chile relleno, which was a good portion of food and delicious. My husband was happy with his mole, sweet and a little spicy. My adult daughter had their chicken soup, which she enjoyed. I convinced my family we wanted a pitcher of margaritas, and wow! it was definitely a value for three people. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. While it seemed they had quite a few diners for a Sunday night, there was not a wait and it was not noisy--both a plus. What made my husband's dinner even more special was the great service we received from all of the young people working at El Patio: everyone was genuinely pleasant, they checked on us regularly and the service was perfect. We will definitely be visiting El Patio more often.

The steak and eggs need to be called something else. Definitely not a steak. It's like a thin slice of fajita meat. Plus small portion of paper thin slices of potatoes wow!!! I will never order that again ever!! So not what to expect. Should have gone to Dinos; excellent steak potatoes eggs and toast!!!! Service wasn't good either. Water brought guacamole ordered knowing we need chips. Says another guy will bring them. What?? Asked for hot tea with sugar and cup hot water; got glass of the water but it was cold??? Not sure what that's about. Had to ask for sugar again and chips. Very disappointed with our visit; been there before. Will never order steak and eggs again ever!!!!

El Patio is my favorite restaurant in Fremont . When I came here during happy hour, the server allowed my friend and I to order the happy hour from the tables. The fish tacos I got and the Asada fries were full plates and very delicious. The servers came by to refill our chips and salsa. My other favorite dishes are the 2 or 3 combo dinners I like street tacos, tostadas, and mini burritos. The tostadas are very crispy and unique to this place. I also love ordering breakfast huevos con chorizo. Everything comes with a large serving of beans and rice.

Loved going here when I was a kid and still hasn't changed now when I bring my kids and family. Their sizzling fajitas are probably the best fajitas. They give so much. I love the atmosphere as well.

Love El Patio food. My favorite dish is their fish tacos! The orange sauce is great. And if you like salads, get the El Patio Bowl made using a tortilla bowl. It's loaded with vegetables and I do mean 'loaded'.

Good service and the botana de chicharrón is the best with flour tortillas. Only down side is the restaurant is cold. I sit by the fireplace.

We held my husband's 80th birthday at El Patio. We were there from 6:00 to 9:15 PM closing . We had the BEST WAITER EVER! His name was Jesse. I have to add that Jesse was everywhere, and his 'attention-to-detail' was fantastic! We had two long tables for our 16 guests, and we had the step-down area of restaurant for our party to visit each other. We decorated the tables and hung a 80th BD banner between the two tables. The foods were all excellent, and so were the Margaritas with alcohol and w/o alcohol. KUDOS again to JESSE for making my hubby's 80th BD one to remember! We highly recommend you plan a party at El Patio's Original Restaurant in Fremont. Thanks for reading our review!Loretta and (the party boy, Bill)
