El Grullo Taco Truck

A local recommended me this spot when I was in Oakland. The truck was quite hard to find. If you're using Apple Maps, be sure to locate the location "Tacos El Grullo" instead of the actual business name. I ordered asada tacos and the meat was a little tough. The tortillas were also soggy and moist, ripping once I gripped the tortilla on my hand. I'll try it again in the next life.

I found myself in this area for the first time this week and was looking for something to eat. Super happy I ran across El Grullo Taco Truck. The downside is they only take cash, which I rarely carry these days - but luckily I had $11 on me and was able to get 3 tacos.I got 2 chicken and 1 cabeza and found them to be delicious, and good sized portions. An average of $ 3.50 per taco. If I had more cash on me I would have tried a Torta or something else off their menu. If I ever need to head out to this area again, I'll be sure to hit an ATM and get some more food. The people were really friendly, the neighborhood isn't super great, but the food and service were awesome for a food truck.

The OG of taco trucks! I've been coming to this taco truck since I was in my mother's belly! The ambiance is casual of course... with a large stand table to eat at or ..eat at your car. This is the best taco truck nestled in East Oakland behind some medical buildings. Easy to miss but hard to forget once you have the tacos here. The consistency of this place is amazing! meat is always juicy, the salsas are always full of flavor and the tortillas soak in all of the flavors. The service is prompt and friendly. I will continue to support this small business for ever and ever! Lol.

Cash only. Easily parked on street. It's food truck vibes. Service was quick! Mind blowing food. I love burritos that don't require salsa to be juicy and tasty. First bite of my carnitas was perfection, nearly cried it was so good. My boyfriend who gave up on having anything taste like the time he lived in San Jose was raving about the flavor with each bite off his pastor super burrito. The cabeza tacos were 3 bites loaded with meaty goodness. The tripas were clean and fried to perfection, juicy with the perfect crisp. I could easily eat 3 of them (I have very specific pallet and texture needs ). Food came with pickled jalapeños and carrots, fresh large radish slices, and juicy limes.Seriously, I hope this place exists forever and ever with this quality. Im confident every item is excellent. I can't wait to bring my family here. It's that good!

hands down best taco truck in Oakland. parking is nice and easy. I always come here for the al pastor tacos, steak burritos, chicken quesadillas and the steak tortas. all the meats are full of flavor. the owner is always nice and talkative. hooks it up with the hot sauces and the radishes and the jalapenos.

I never leave reviews but this place, I had to. The Al Pastor tacos... So good. Can't wait to go back.

The reviews about this place are wrong. It's basic burritos and nothing special at all. Asada burrito was bland. The meat had not flavor.

The food was okay. Pretty decent. I got a pastor burrito and it was pretty solid. The customer service was okay. I was upset that they "ran out" of chips and salsa. Personally, I think they were lying. I also was upset that their menu was pretty limited.

This truck is not on the main International blvd so probably doesn't get as many business as it could. The price is not the cheapest but the portions are full. We came early one day and got some tacos and burrito. The guy taking the order will answer any questions you may have and let you know what is in each of you ask. The food came pretty fast, fresh, and yummy they are packed with flavor. I got some tacos and definitely fresh. This is probably a hidden gem that people do not know about. The menu is not fancy, limited items, but what they sell it is done well.
