I have been coming here as long as I can remember. Legitimately, I grew up in Fremont, I'm in my 30's and I've been coming here since I was a little girl. (They were at a different location at some point). Anyways, this is my favorite Chinese food restaurant. Overall: Food is a little pricey, they have on main size for a la cart, but the food ALWAYS taste fresh, food is super yummy, and portions are large. Price: $84.12 for..2x wonton soup 1x beef and broccoli 1x combo rice 1x chicken fried rice1x sweet and sour chickenWhich comes out to about $14/ entree. The reason I say this is pricey is because it is a la carte so in order to try a few different dishes, the price racks up.Service: quick, friendly, personableAmbiance: casual! More of a to go type of vibe.I've been coming here for years and I will hopefully continue to be a customer for many more!!

I was in the area and decided to try some Chinese take out nearby, just want to explore something new. We ordered by phone and pick up in 10 minutes. Ordered 2 house chowfun, salt pepper squid and salt and pepper fish, hot and sour soup. They give us 5 veggie eggrolls for free. Total came out $71 including tax, a bit pricey for Chinese food to-go, but I think it's worth the money because of their quality. All dishes were delicious, especailly the squid and fish. They were both crispy but soft inside, not overly battered like most cheap Chinese to-go places.I wish their chowfun had less meat and more noodles, though. There were tons of meat and I harldly see noodles. I was planning to eat chowfun with the fish but had to eat them with white rice and save the chowfun for dinner. Overall I'm satisfied with today's order!

Near, far, wherever you are I would not recommend eating from here. This low quality hole in the wall restaurant in the same ghetto sketchy plaza as "O,Riley's".... Whatever you call it.or spell. If you like Panda Express, I would say that Eastern Winds could have been the sole inspiration for the menu that is kept short and simple. Eastern winds menu has so much variety that it's almost longer than Santa's naughty or nice list. If you're lost on thanksgiving, come to Eastern Winds to get a to go box order stuffed ten times fatter than that turkey on your dining table the day of thanksgiving. The reason why I'm choosing to give this low review is because of one thing... and it's called, "crab Rangoon" maybe it was because I ate the whole box by myself throughout the day (not all at once), or that they didn't give me sweet n sour sauce, but I ended up getting these massive stomach aches. As of right now my stomach is churning with discomfort I'm not lactose intolerance, so something like this has never happened before. I can feel my stomach knotting itself up and it's killing me. so, DONT COME HERE if you want cross contaminated food.

I've been a regular at Eastern Winds for years, and I can't believe I've never left Jay (the owner) a review until now! I always call ahead, and by the time I arrive, my food is ready--usually in about 15 minutes. The food is consistently delicious. My go-to order is the salt and pepper chicken with fried rice and the prawn rice noodles, both of which have incredible flavor and never disappoint. Every meal hits the spot and Jay is always so kind. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food.

My boyfriend found this spot because I was craving egg flower soup so we decided to give it a try. It's more of a take out spot but they have a few tables inside to eat there. The man who took our order was fun to talk to. He's quite a character. We spoke with another customer who did nothing but praise this spot and said once you come here, you won't stop coming back. He's right. The egg flower soup was so soothing and was exactly what I remembered it to taste like. Their beef chow fun was the best. The beef wasn't overly chewy & with the noodles it just hit the spot.I'll definitely be coming back to try the rest of their menu.

I usually come here to order Chinese takeouts since I live in Fremont, and it is one of the best Chinese restaurants here. It is a very small restaurant, but the food here is really delicious and prices are reasonable especially lunch orders.I always get lunch orders and can select fried rice with no extra charge. Mongolian beef is chewy and fresh and the fried rice tastes authentic. Since I tried different dishes, I guarantee that the rest of them taste fresh!

Eastern Winds makes great Chinese food. The salt and pepper pork ribs are delicious and crispy. The orange chicken has plenty of sauce that tastes sweet and spicy. They were busy on a Saturday night. The order took about 15 minutes. You can call in the order in advance. Highly recommended.

Absolutely the worst dining experience.Saw a customer come in with an incorrect order and the man at the front was just arguing and yelling at him. It was very uncomfortable. The man was shockingly rude, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful. They completely messed up the order, and even though the customer drove all the way back, he did not apologize or try to fix it. Instead, he had the audacity to speak in a condescending and hostile tone. It's clear this restaurant doesn't care about its customers at all. The man's attitude is toxic, and the lack of basic customer service skills is unacceptable. If you value your time, money, and dignity, do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone--ever.
