If you're a fan of malasadas, Doughweime in Union City is a must-visit! Their rotating menu keeps things exciting, so while I can't recall the exact flavors I tried, I vividly remember how delicious they were. Each donut was perfectly fluffy and struck just the right balance--not overly sweet but still packed with flavor. Here's the thing: you might think you know exactly what and how many you want, but don't be surprised when you walk out with more than planned. With so many tempting options on display, it's almost impossible to resist grabbing a few extra to try. Trust me, you won't regret it!The shop has a fun, inviting vibe, and the staff is friendly and helpful when it comes to explaining their rotating flavors. Whether you're a mochi donut enthusiast or just curious to try something new, Doughweime is sure to hit the spot. I'm already looking forward to going back and seeing what creative flavors they whip up next!

It's okay. It's tasty. They're cute on instagram. Nothing to write home about. And at $50 for 6? Nah.It's not mind blowing, which I expect for $6-7 a pop. It's not as good as what these supposed "foodies" say it is. It's just Asian. Yuzu, ube, pandan etc. I feel as if the glitz of TikTok marketing paints this greater than it is. There were no prices. No receipts. The kid at the counter said there's a cash discount but didn't show us the total, nor gave us the right change. Again, they seem to be riding on the laurels of very common TikTok Asian flavors. It's weird. Yeah, it's nice that there's "smart" cafe decorations and yuzu everything and whatever. But the lack of transparency and the basic TikTok foodie aesthetic? This is more for posting than actual taste.

This is a long one because my experience here made me feel human again - came at opening (9:00) on a Friday for some treats to surprise my family with and left with a big fat smile on my face. Doughweime stands adjacent to both Seafood City and my old barbershop. They've really embraced the small coffee shop identity with the wooden A-frame outdoors and menu rails on the wall, and their slat-accented interior provides some character compared to their surroundings.I definitely recommend coming at opening or at least a little bit after - I was the second person in line after a lady who was more than happy to talk about the success of her three daughters (I would too, if I raised a nurse, a doctor, and an engineer) and everything was in stock. Nico was such a pleasant conversationalist and we discussed a little bit about the business, their mighty 6-person crew, and the Everything bagel that will reenter the rotation at a date that I'm gatekeeping for myself. I ordered a box of 6 regular and 4 mini malasadas for a hefty total of $61.Before we dug in at home, I realized I forgot to take a picture of the flavor names. I called the store 3 times in the midst of my mini panic attack to no avail, but was surprised when I received a call back 10 minutes later from Wei herself who so kindly helped me match names to descriptions. Here's my ranking:1) Mango Pomelo Sago: sweet (real!) mango reduction with chewy tapioca balls and coconut pudding2) Yuzu: mouthwatering yuzu-flavored cream topped with a bit of candied yuzu3) Coconut Pandan Sticky Rice: mom's favorite, featuring pandan and a sweet and nutty purple sticky rice cream filling4) Chocolate Pistachio: deliciously decadent chocolate cream sitting atop a crunchy layer of nutty and slightly tangy pistachio paste5) Hojicha: roasty tea flavor cream - very sesame-like6) Toffee Coffee: extremely strong coffee flavor with toffee bar bits inside and out7) Lapsang Raspberry: made for a very confusing first bite. Lapsang is apparently a smoked tea with a very charcoal-like flavor profile, so combined with the sweetness of the raspberry it tasted identical to barbecue sauce. Definitely interesting but be warned XDStop by for the Everything, but make sure to try everything!

I first had Doughweime at a wedding and instantly knew I had to go to their store for more! Their malasadas are delicious. They are light and fluffy with unique flavors rotating weekly. I've previously had their Ube, Matcha, Earl Grey, Strawberry, Coconut, Chamomile and Hojicha, all of which were great! Doughweime is opened, I believe just three days week and the times I've gone there was already a line, so I recommend going early. Staff is nice and service is quick. Prices are steep, but it's worth the splurge.

It's so exciting to see what flavors as they change flavors frequently! They sell a variety of malasadas but they do also sell drinks, cookies, and other bakery items. They have unique asian inspired flavors as well as some viral flavors (like the dubai chocolate). Over the past couple of times I visited I've gotten to try their mango sago, ube coconut, hazelnut, salted duck egg, matcha, strawberry, earl grey, and honestly so much more that I'm forgetting. Their filling is always creamy and delicious while the dough is soft and pillowy on the inside. The line gets really long on the weekends and they do sell out of flavors so be prepared to go early or pre-order one of their boxes online!

Their doughnuts/malasadas are perfectly light & fluffy, and taste so fresh. Also tried their Oreo Basque cheesecake ~ it was light & creamy, and full of Oreo chunks.Went on a Friday, 5-10 minutes before 3pm closing, and their doors were wide open, staff person welcoming, and glad they still had a selection of items (several doughnuts remaining, but I did get the last slice of Basque cheesecake).

Moving away from the Bay Area so I had to come here one last time and of course - they are always delicious. Matcha brûlée: 5/5! This one is in my top 5 favorite. Rich strong matcha cream with a crispy sweet brûlée to balance it all out. Cranberry: 5/5 - I loved this last season and still delicious. It's the perfect amount of tart and sweet. Banana: 3.5/5 - The one I got this time had too much crunchy cookie butter and not enough creamy banana filling so it was a bit dry to eat. I'll miss Doughweime and all the amazing friendly employees! Stay delicious!

Everything about this place is % fantastic! Customer service is excellent. The lady that assisted us with ordering was phenomenal. She made great suggestions and she made the best latte! The malasadas were the best we've had. A bit pricey ($6ish) but we think it's worth it!We got the matcha, mango, oolong, ube, mini chocolate, toffee and black sesame. The black sesame and ube were our favorite! The store is located at a huge complex with ample parking. The store is clean and a bit on the smaller side so i can imagine this getting packed! We are from the south bay but we are surely coming back!

After a year of bookmarking Doughweime, I finally had the chance to try their malasadas! My husband picked them up, and he mentioned the owners were incredibly sweet and kind. The malasadas were light, fluffy, and had unique flavors. My favorite was the crème brulé vanilla malasada. I'll definitely be returning

I have been wanting to try Doughweime so bad ever since I read an article about them. On our most recent trip to the Bay Area, I finally got the chance to try them! They do have flavors that change constantly due to season so be sure to follow them on instagram. I was a bit bummed that I missed out on the durian donuts though. We got here a few minutes after they opened on Saturday and there were people already in line. We got:Guava CheesecakeRocher Smoked SalmonThey were all super delicious. The bread was soft, fluffy, and pillowy -- just the way I like it! They weren't extremely sweet either, which is fantastic. At first, I thought the smoked salmon might be a bit weird since it's savory but it works! It was super delicious! It's actually perfect because you can have a mini brunch. Just get a smoked salmon as your meal then a fruity/sweet one for dessert!I would definitely come back the next time I'm in the Bay Area! The only thing is that they are quite pricey. They are about $6 for a donut and even more if you get the smoked salmon. But definitely worth the treat once in a while.
