Double Rainbow Cafe

A Benicia staple for dessert! The decor inside was very colorful and cute! If the right food influencer found it I think it could be a viral hit online. Double Rainbow Cafe offers a lot of dessert beyond ice cream. We had trouble deciding but ultimately chose the pumpkin ice cream in a black vanilla cone and the grilled smores ice cream sandwich. They also had a variety of coffee desserts. I was tempted by the tiramisu drink. The desserts were very sweet. The grilled s'mores was made to order. The brioche was very soft. It took a couple bites to get some of the chocolate. Then it did taste like a s'mores! I like how they have an ongoing monthly fundraiser. Certain desserts will have 15% of the proceeds go to a local cause. I was quite amused by the written description of one of them. It was something along the lines of ""The Evil Landlord". We'll likely be coming back at some point if we are craving dessert in the evening before they close at 9pm.

i enjoy everything here, when i was younger this place was the place i begged my parents to go to for the ice cream and i have mostly fond memories of this ice cream shop, throughout the years i believe its aqquaired a new owner and the owner made more good options and drinks and the overall shop looks much better. and the workers are so friendly and helpful and i've only ever encountered nice workersthis place is the nicest of the double rainbow chain shops i've been to. love this place a must go if you're here!

It's an adorable place for ice cream vibes w/ friends and enjoying a night out after dinner treat!Ice cream at Double Rainbow Cafe is super affordable and you sit and eat in the most adorable ice-cream themed setting and seats. The Ice Scream technicians are very well versed in ice cream lingo and scooping techniques.

Whenever I am in Benicia near the waterfront, I am always at Double Rainbow Cafe. Their ice cream is amazing.I love the service the place has when it gets crowded with people wanting their ice cream. They apologize for the long wait when it is crowded. Parking is easy to find nearby. I love the inside of the place where there is a good view of the street. Whenever you are in Benicia, you must have Double Rainbow Cafe

Lavender cone great!!!!! There were real lavender pieces baked into the cone. Their Icecream is really soft. I got the birthday cake and it was fantastic! It had real chunks of cake in there which I loved!

I love this place! The ice cream is delicious, the decor is adorable, and the people who work there are really special. When you meet the owners you understand why. Brandon and Alicia are the kindest, most wonderful people. You really feel good supporting their business. They make a big impact on the down town vibe. It's one of the only really kid friendly businesses down town and that really matters to me. My daughter is autistic and we need places like this where we feel comfortable. Go check out double rainbow if you want to have a delicious treat while supporting awesome members of the community.

We stopped in here after dinner at Bella Siena and it didn't disappoint!Fast, friendly service with so many tasty options to choose from.

First time here and I tried Gunther's for the first time! Refreshing, delicious, and filling! We got pineapple freeze at the bottom, vanilla ice cream, and guava freeze on top. Super cute shop and casual. Great service and great intro to Benicia. Excited to try more of the menu!

Been coming here a while and it used to be a great experience. However, recently I've ran into several rude employees. The ice cream is good though, so 3 stars for that.

Double Rainbow is such a cute little ice cream shop. It can get pretty busy on the weekends, and you might see a line out the door, but they keep things moving quickly and they're always smiling. My non-ice cream-loving husband enjoys the slushies and my favorite is the milkshakes so we can walk around. My daughter loves the flavored ice cream cones. Best enjoyed while taking in the views on a bench by the waterfront a couple blocks away.
