Don Julio's Catering

I recently had a catered event at Kennedy Park, Hayward, by Don Julio's Catering, and I am already looking forward to my next event! The staff, Alonso, called when they were on their way, introduced themselves upon arrival, and set-up nicely before the event took place. I chose the taco bar, and they provided an extra side dish, jalapeño peppers, that were so yummy, along with horchata and jamaica drinks. All of our guests raved how amazing the food was, and they even went back for seconds, and thirds. Thank you so much for an amazing food experience, Don Julio!

Robert and his crew were amazing! They showed up and created a wonderful ambience for our party. We will definitely be using them again. Their food was delicious and our guests couldn't get enough!

We had Don Julio's catering at our baby shower and we are so happy to have had them at our event! From the beginning the quote process to the event, Robert remained very responsive and accommodated some last minute additions. Love how easy the booking system was which has the quote contract and payment all linked making the whole process very smooth.On the day of the event, Robert and Juan showed up on time and set up quickly. They were super polite and friendly. The food was a hit with our guests and there were plenty of food! The set up was lovely as well! Highly recommend Don Julio's catering!

Got so many compliments on the food with Don Julio's catering! The best taquero! Food was super tasty and the staff so friendly. The layout of the food was beautifully presented with traditional dish ware and flowers. They really think about the presentation and the product does not disappoint! Amazing tacos, sides and salsas. HIGHLY recommend getting for your next and all your parties. You won't regret it!

Family-owned and operated, loved seeing generations working hard under the same tent with the older-gen on the grill, their kids helping customers, and their kids kids ladling out the drinks.We found them at Niles Farmers Market and upon seeing the vibe decided to change our lunch plans and get food here and eat on the nearby benches in front of the train station.The birria taco was good, the outside was actually crunchy and the meat was not overcooked to oblivion. Very tasty and wish I ordered more of these. Iced Horchata Latte also perfect on a warm day, nice and cold and had that cinnamon blast mixed with coffee.The asada and al pastor taco I was sad they were not as good as they looked. The meat was dry and the tortillas were totally bone dry, even with salsa poured on they were super dry. Cheese quesadilla was for the kid and he enjoyed it, it has crispy fried cheese in it along with melted cheese.

Don Julio catered for my husband's surprise birthday party this past weekend. Everyone loved them and the food was so good! As we walked through the door to the venue, the first thing he said, "Ooohh, I smell tacos!" From then on, I knew it was going to be good!Initial quote:I had emailed Don Julio's Catering and was provided a quote based on my request. Contact with Robert was very easy. Very easy to communicate via email, cell, and text.Process:Once I decided to process, I had some requests changed/added and Robert was very helpful and I had no problems with my requests.Execution:Robert came, set up and service was executed perfectly. Arrived on time and set up by time of request. I loved their presentation! I didn't have to worry about plates, napkins, utensils, and chaffing dishes, etc. Robert handled that all. Once his service ended, he happily packed any leftovers (which was not much - it was soooo good).Overall:I am extremely happy with my decision to go with Don Julio. I was a little bit nervous since it was a last minute booking and I hadn't tasted their food but my guests LOVED it! Presentation and taste was awesome. Robert was very easy to converse with. Even though he was busy with other gigs, he made sure to contact me back immediately. Communication is key! I will be booking them next time I have another event. THANK YOU DON JULIO'S CATERING!!!

Our original caterers backed out 10 days before our wedding day. Our photographer and friend referred us to Don Julio's catering and they were able to cater our wedding without hesitation.Roberto was so responsive and answered any questions I had. The food was so amazing that our guests had even asked for their business card from them. Their services went above and beyond and I will definitely be recommending them to anyone who wants delicious food with exceptional service! Completely saved the day!

I am very disappointed in the lack of response for my project. I was in suspense for days waiting for a response on whether you could do my son's wedding. I never heard a word through here, through Instagram, or through my email or texting. I contacted you three different ways and no one called me. Terrible customer service as far as the business setup and responding to clients who are in a waiting period until they hear from their most wanted place. I thought that was you but I found someone better. Train your people better. You could be in business one day and gone the next with this kind of behavior.

We had Don Julio's cater our wedding this month and everything was great! Their customer service was amazing. Roberto worked with us to plan out our menu and he was always willing to hop on a call with us to discuss any details. Everyone in the Don Julio's Catering team was super friendly and professional. They definitely made the whole process stress free.The food looked and tasted amazing. They presented all the food very beautifully in barro pots and even brought their own decor that matched our wedding's vibe. Our menu consisted of birria and carnitas with their sides of rice and beans. All of the food was very tasty and we got a lot of compliments from guests. We are very happy we got to work with Don Julio's Catering and we definitely recommend them to anyone planning an event! :)

Everybody asked for their card after our party, which is always a great sign! They did an amazing job and everyone went back for more. We'd definitely get their tacos again for future parties.
