I love this place. The service is impeccable, the staff are so friendly, and the food is excellent.The atmosphere feels traditional, almost like you're in someone's home. It is comfortable, and cozy. The menu has lots of options and all I've tasted is good ( try the samosas), and I appreciate that it is calm and quiet in there..Recommend for a great meal and conversation time.

The food is good, as is the service.But, the toilet is not of ADA (1990) height.I don't go to restaurants with the sole intentions of using the restroom, but, like other customers, one does use the restroom, occasionally.I think there are handrails, but my memory of my last visit, is that the toilet doesn't meet the height requirements of people with disabilities.I won't go back until this is remedied.

Worst food I've had in California. So much that we canceled our remaining order (have never done this before). The chicken lolipop was extremely dry, stale, and was stinking. Gobhi manchurian was hard to chew and coconut shrimps had no coconut. We didn't even try main course and decided to leave.

We are back. Once again ... the tables were clean and well set, superior quality original foods, fresh ingredients, and gracious staff. The place was busy so I think reservations would be a good idea but walk-ins during non-peak times are fine.There was 3 of us dining. Talasi was our amazing server. And he speaks fluently in English and Japanese as well as his native Indian dialect. It was fun to share speaking in different tongues. Also a very nice young lady helped. We ordered 3 styles of different proteins Tofu, Shrimp, and chicken.. You may request Halal, vegan, or regular proteins. We ordered the incredible garlic Naan bread, rice, and I ate the Butter Chicken. We shared as usual. Deeeelish. Everything I have ever eat from here is so complex and tasty.Highly recommended and the service was amazing.

Here was the order:Chicken Tikka Masala: they add sugar. Not dessert, still pretty forward. Not my favorite dish, and I usually love it. Kids liked it. I ordered mild which it was.Lamb Kabob: this was the star for me. Great flavor, well cooked, temperature sizzling, good portions.Khorba (I believe) it's the eggplant: Very good dish. We ordered medium. This dish had more heat than medium, at the higher end for sure. But solid. Better than I expected. I thought it would be more oily, but it wasn't. Prices are not cheap. But it's Solano. The most disappointing: No Chai tea on the house. This is strictly business. You're not part of the family while you're there. I was happy with our meal overall, but I wouldn't drive out of my way to go back.

Delicious food, best Indian food in Berkeley. Butter chicken, roti, & chicken 65 are amazing. Service is great, staff is kind & welcoming. Ambiance is great. Highly recommended.

Being an Indian, who has grown up in India, it is really hard to find Indian restaurants with an authentic flavor.Deli diner is one of the unique places that I have found and their dishes are consistently good.I recently got food for a Diwali party from here. The owner was so responsive and accommodating. He specially prepared not free food for us. The dishes were very well packed in foil containers that were easy to heat. He went above and beyond by calling an Uber and delivering our food With serving spoons and tongs. The food of course, was absolutely delicious!

I've been trying this restaurant for some excellent Indian dishes, and lately, on the recommendation of the chef, I tried 'Soya Chaap Makhani', a famous Indian delicacy I'd never tasted before, and it was a big hit at my Mamma's birthday celebration! I would also appreciate their timely service and thoughtfulness in accommodating our particular dietary needs. If you're looking for fresh Indian recipes, here is the place to go!

I love the exotic interior architecture, but the great service and beautifully prepared and presented dishes are the real attraction. Highly recommended.
