I decided to give Curry Kona a try while visiting Pleasanton. I haven't had kathi rolls before, and ordered their shahi paneer option. It came with red onion, spinach, tomato and was quite juicy; it felt like in between a wrap and a panini in. I appreciate that there's lots of customization options, including the type of carb you want to go with the protein/veggies/etc. The food was ready pretty quickly too.

Fusion of frozen, unhealthy contents to create fusion of arteries clogging in your body. Good service though from the only employee who worked there when I ordered food. Without any choice, I had to pick up something quick. It was my mistake. I had their burrito. A few minutes after eating, I felt something was not right with my stomach. I avoided spinach because it didn't look fresh to me. However the curries they heat up, who knows when it was cooked and frozen and defrosted. Gosh, I also had vegetarian. Anyways, stay away from this fusion. Food safety folks need to check freshness. Stay away. I don't recommend this place and never go back.

Curry Kona occupies a former Subway and offers a Chipotle-style lineup of Indian flavors built into a selection of bases including burritos, bowls, salads, burgers, and Kathi rolls. The Manager Special came with two Kathi rolls, each built on a thin, crispy, griddled flatbread with a choice of fillings and toppings, all of which were laid out and ready to serve. I tried the Shahi Chicken, made of white meat chicken in a creamy tomato sauce; and the Goat Jalfrezi, or tender goat in a sweet and acidic onion tomato gravy. I topped off the rolls with chopped red onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, jalapeños, and cilantro; as well as mozzarella cheese and two creamy sauces--chili garlic and mint cilantro. The rolls were then griddled in a panini press before being served piping hot. Because my meat selections were already quite saucy, the extra sauces just made a mess and muddled the flavors, and I would skip them next time. There were lots of flavors going on in the rolls (primarily salty and spicy), but because I came towards the end of the day, the ingredients had been sitting around for a while and weren't the freshest. Nevertheless, this was a nice local business with an interesting concept and decent value!

Great service but I think the idea is bad. Got a standard rice bowl with curry but it was re-heated in an oven creating an odd texture. Also ordered a mago lassi and also didn't taste good. This was suppose to be my Friday treat but instead I feel like I wasted money.

Came here for a quick dinner to-go. I got the 2 Kathi Roll special. Love that there's a lot of vegan, vegetarian, and meat options. There was only 1 lady working there at the time, and she was both making the items as well as handling the cash register. Major props to her! She was working super efficiently. My Kathi rolls came out hot and crispy on the outside from being in the panini press. They do not shy away from spices here. Delicious! It's not fancy inside but there's a good amount of chairs and tables if you want to eat inside. Highly recommend Curry Kona if you're looking for a quick, filling, and relatively cheap food to-go.

Had this more than 3 years ago and I come back EVERY TIME I'm in the area because it's that good. The concept is like subway/chipotle but the flavors are phenomenal and the Kati rolls (managers special for two) are *chef's kiss* in terms of crispy/chewiness outer dough layer. Idk what this is but I love it and seriously wonder where else I can get this/why it's not more widely used as a bread/dough. I get a paneer flavor and a chicken flavor Kati roll each time I come. This time I got Paneer Achari and chicken shahi but I think the paneer masala was better. Comfortable inside and outdoor seating. Love! Must try if you're in the area.Ordered by preference per chicken and paneer:- Chicken Shahi (quite good juicy and flavorful)- Chicken Tandoori (I think these last two were drier but still flavorful)- Chicken MasalaNormally I like paneer more because it's softer- Paneer Masala (I think I had this before and liked it better)- Paneer Achari (tomato based sauce, spicy, not my fav)This cute song was playing: Bheegi Si Bhaagi Si (From "Raajneeti") by Pritam, Mohit Chauhan & Antara Mitra

I've seen Curry Kona in the large shopping center on Hopyard and decided to give them a try. Going in not having a clue what was served, realized it's essentially an Indian Chipotle style concept. You choose a base ie.. rice bowl wrap etc.. then a protein then toppings. There are tons of choices on the menu board and the counter all with an Indian name. (No description) So we wound up taking our best guess at what the items were. Lamb Keena because we knew the word lamb and Chicken Marsala because we heard that before. They actually microwave to heat up the food. The rice bowls are $12. Minimal service. Plastic bowls and utensils. The lamb Keena was good. The chicken Marsala was not. Plenty of parking. "Better description of the offerings would definitely be helpful"

Picked up food from here and found the quality to have dipped quite a bit. The rolls have very less filling.. all you taste is the thick flour parathas. I bought 4 rolls and this feedback was consistent across all. Also why are pick up prices way higher than dine in?? Pizza for instance costs 23.99 in store but 28.99 for pickup that's a 5 dollar difference! For pickup! There is a significant difference in price for all items..Unfortunately my pickup order from here was disappointing this time. Taste was lacking big time!
