We were invited to a very large wedding reception. Wow can this place fit a few people. They have a stage that fit a full mariachi band. I don't know if the sound system is already at the venue or the band brought the sound system but it was loud as all hell in here. There was plenty of room for the dance floor and all of the tables for everyone to eat. Outside there are lovely gardens and seats for mingling inside and out.It was a beautiful wedding reception we attended. If you're looking for nice, simple venue for a receptions check this place out. Its in a quiet quaint little town. You may just like it.

I didn't even know this spot existed until I attended a wedding here the other night. It is a beautiful venue that can seat about 250 people. I deducted a star because of street parking.

A nice venue that I never knew about! I attended a wedding here with up to 250 guests. It's a nice place, although I didn't get to see the surrounding area on the property. Buffet dinner, bar, stage, small dance floor. As a wedding guest, I was pleasantly surprised by this venue.

Gayle and I made the trip out to Crockett to take a look at the Community Center building and grounds as a possible wedding venue. It was also nice to be in downtown Crockett again, which kind of gets forgotten in all that I enjoy Bay Area-wise. I believe that this architecturally attractive building is the old C&H Sugar Club House. The Crockett Community Center is truly that, with lots of day and evening activities going on both in and out of the building. Unfortunately, the doors were locked and we didn't have a chance to actually go inside the building. The outdoor gazebo is very nice and the nearby Anglican Church offers special spiritual connection for those so inclined. There's also a good deal of room in the surrounding park and on the building grounds. Our only complaint (aside from the fact that this venue didn't resonate with either of us) was the adjacent road and the associated noise.

Rented this space for our wedding reception December 13th 2014. This venue at first glance is very quaint and nice if you are having a small party. The facilities manager, Susan was nice to work with at first however she was very good at saying yes to certain things and then conveniently getting amnesia when questioned. Our party turned out great but I have a few tips if you decide to rent this venue.-Email everything so you have documentation just in case, which I'm sure you will need, an issue arises-Make sure to bring your own camera and take pictures of the stage prior to and after your event, in case you use the stage and so you have proof when they try to keep your cleaning deposit-Verify that all 375 chairs and all tables are in working order, in case they decide to say that you broke a chair or table, to keep your cleaning deposit-Stay around and watch your last guest leave, so they don't lie and say you went past the agreed time and keep your cleaning deposit.-Last but not least, keep an eye on the site supervisor, who will eat the food at your party without asking.Last but not least, the site supervisor threw water on one of the guests that had passed out and fell asleep in the back room and when I brought the issue to the facilities manager she referred my to her boss. Her boss, the site manger said our complaints were invalid and referred me to his boss, the General Manager. He too said that they had proof of the guests leaving, the scratches on the stage and the broken chair but never provided us with anything. Basically, when you rent this place, you can kiss your cleaning deposit goodbye, since they will make anything up on their report to keep it.As a consumer, I would never recommend this venue to anyone. From the moment I signed the contract to the few days after the event, this place and the people running it have been an absolute headache. Also, as a consumer when an issue is brought to management instead or trying to find a resolution or investigate, they will dismiss you and only go with what their staff says. This venue is an absolute joke and I would kindly ask anyone thinking of renting this space to reconsider and find something else. This had to be my worst experience as a consumer. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.

I came here for a wedding and Crockett Community Center is beautiful built from inside and out. This place has so much space inside as well as it does outside. A perfect place to throw weddings, parties, get togethers and so much more.

My husband and I had our wedding here November2013. It was very affordable, simple and elegant. Crockett Community Center provides a simple venue setting with a polished gym like floor and 4 pillars that give the place a more rustic look. Because of its simplicity it gives an opportunity for you to spice up the place with decorations. It has a large kitchen and wash area, enough space for caterers to work with. One side of the venue is lined with glass doors, it provides a large lobby area and a long bar table. There is a large stage with tall curtains. This was where my husband and I had placed our sweetheart table, and provided all the entertainment. The indoor facility is beautiful within itself. There is an outdoor white gazebo provided if you wanted to hold an outdoor wedding ceremony. What I didn't like was how the gazebo was placed parallel to the street and there was no center walkway for the wedding entourage to walk towards the front. I didn't use the gazebo, and chose to have my wedding at a church 5 minutes away. The place doesn't have a parking lot, but it does have a lot of street parking. If your guest don't mind parking along the street, it all works perfectly fine. I had 300 guests attend my wedding reception and there was enough parking for all of them. My wedding reception was beautiful, and everyone had a great time. If you are looking for a place affordable and simple, this is the place for you. Although I did like the venue, what I didn't find appealing was the management. The woman in charge of the facility is always in a rush, not very warm or welcoming at all. My first encounter with her was short and brief. She was in a rush to attend her sons graduation, so I wanted to be understanding and give her the benefit of the doubt in her service. I met with her 3 times, and her attitude and lack of tact in handling business transactions was not professional. I began to wish I didn't choose this place for my wedding reception, but it was to late to send out any change of notice to my guests, and I knew I would lose a portion of my deposit. Over all she is blunt and she will give you what you paid for, just don't expect her to be understanding of how you use the facility. If you are patient enough to handle that kind of attitude, then you will like everything else that this place has to offer. Otherwise, I would advise to leave this facility for the residence of the Crockett Community to use. Maybe they are more friendly to their residence?

They tell you that you will get back a deposit if you clean the place and have no damages and we did that. But they go in on Monday to check the hall and say that we left it a mess and the floor was sticky. We even passed our time for 15 and they charge you every minute that you get passed by but we only stayed 15 mins more because of a women telling us we didn't clean the the bathroom mirrors and that there was water on them. Like she would make us go back and clean everywhere she would see that we didn't clean good enough for her standards. And after we are done doing EVERYTHING she told us we ask her 5 times so is it clean so we can have no problem with our deposit and she confirms with us that yes everything is good now. But ends saying that we didn't clean good like they just gave us old mops and no products to clean so we just used water obviously we weren't gonna bring a machine to clean the floors. Don't recommend cleaning because we cleaned and didn't return our deposit because they said that they deducted for cleaning fee.

My wife and I booked this venue for our wedding (May of 2016). She and I both live in Crockett and wanted to get married in town. We have both been to events here and when decorated the place is absolutely beautiful. However, dealing with management was an absolute nightmare. We went to book the venue and soon found out there are a lot of additional costs. Want to use the gazebo? Additional fee. Want to use their projector? Additional fee. But everything comes with a price right? So we booked the venue. My wife met with the facilities manager to discuss the day of the wedding and how and when we can start setting up for the event. She told my wife that we could come in the day before our wedding and we could have 4 hours to set up. I thought that was very generous. Sadly that was never put in writing. Four days before the wedding we went in to discuss the details of the wedding and to finalize the floor plan. When we brought up the use of the facility for the day before the wedding we got a confused look and a "sorry, that is a mistake." We were told if we wanted the four hours to set up the day before that it cost us roughly $750 for the time. We were then told that even if we wanted to pay for the extra hours it was not possible because they had booked the venue to night before and it was now unavailable. Needless to say we were not too happy and now extremely crunched for time and had to set everything up the day of the wedding. Also, the time to set up would come out of the 8 hours we originally scheduled. My in laws went down the next day to discuss our options so we would have more time to set up. They were told the only way we could have more time was to rent more hours. After some negotiations we were told that if we rented the facility out for two hours they would give us an additional two hours to help with the set up. Those 2 hours cost us roughly $540. Once again we did not get all of the details in writing. On the day of the wedding we show up 4 hours before the start of the wedding to begin setting up. We were then informed that the additional 2 hours that were given to us were for the use of the kitchen and not for the set up of the hall. My mother in law then proceeded to express her displeasure with the lack of details of the additional hours. After several minutes them having to listen to her express her concerns they finally told us to just take the hall and begin setting up. We were not pleased with the overall experience and were very disappointed as residence of the community that this is how they center is operated. As stated by other yelper, Padmani, from January of 2015, if you choose to use this venue, make sure that you document everything that you agree upon. Because without the documentation it is your word against theirs and you will not be happy with the final result. and be sure that everyone is out on time. One minute passed the reserved time, you will receive and additional charge. We did not go over our time but it was made very clear to us that this was the case. With all of that being said, I do have to say that our site facilitator that remained at the venue throughout the event was very nice and very helpful.
