I have lived in San Leandro for over 40 years and today was the 1st time I eaten here. Boy I've been missing out!!!! Came in for breakfast with one of my high school friend that has been here a few times a year. Its a small diner with a U-Sharp bar that sits about 15 people and tables around the bar. I'm very surprised on how good their breakfast is and how cheap it is. From what I heard this is a husband and wife operation, and they been running Cozy Kitchen for a long time.Cozy Special Omelette with Linguisa, Mushrooms, Bell Pepper, Onions, Tomato & Cheese was very good, made perfectly. Eggs not over cooked. I also had a side of ham which was good as well. The service was excellent!!! When we sat down, the gentleman was talk to 2 guest and they were ordering to go for 10 people, so the lady came and took our order fast. Will differently come back!!!

This review is my personal opinion. If you enjoy a great breakfast, go to the 5th Wheel in SanLeandro, Do not go to the Cozy Kitchen. The Cozy Kitchen uses cheap cuts of meat and you are lucky if you get a refill on coffee. The unfriendly Cozy Kitchen is known for its rudeness by the woman who waits on the customers. The woman has an air of entitlement in that she expects a 20% tip for the unfriendly service provided. The 5th Wheel is everything this at best mediocre place is not. Good food, good service, and great prices to boot. Make your breakfast place the 5thWheel!You will not regret your switching from Bad to Great!

First time here I was in the area so like why not try this spot When you walk in it's like taking a step into a time warp into the past all original decor and furnishings from the 1980's Menu is easy to read Prices are reasonable Food is made as ordered portions are relatively big Parking is easy to findCustomer service is ok No frills sort of breakfast spot but food hits the spot

French toast is too expensive, it was very thin and small, at $5,75, I expect a little better French toast. The bacon was too hard, the ham was super thin and small. The sausage was okay. Coffee was not hot.

Small (cozy) space, clean but outdated. Ordering take out. Jenny and her husband have been running this restaurant for 35 years....I can see why a lot of the reviews say that she's very rude. I don't think she's rude. I think she's busy and hard-working. She's not very friendly, not talkative and her English is very limited. Ordered a vegetarian omelette and also ordered a waffle with eggs and bacon. The omelette was delicious. I cut it up and mixed it with my hashbrowns. Was not a big fan of the waffle. It was thick and doughy. The butter for the waffle they gave me was definitely not butter.... Probably margarine but when i got home it was separated into something I'm unsure of and I'm sure they use the same for cooking the rest of the food because it's very greasy.

Cozy Kitchen is the dinner that will be located just inside the pearly gates of heaven. I've been coming here for 7 years. It's a perfectly surrealistic representation of the All American Dinner. Like the one that starts with a big, "D", only better. Everything is what it should be. Everything is perfectly prepared and perfectly delicious. My goto is Blueberry Pancakes, fried eggs and sausages. Butter and rich warm syrup brought to you at just the right moment. They have everything you would expect from a breakfast / lunch joint. The food comes out hot and delicious each and every time. I'd show you a picture but I already ate everything!

What a little hidden gem! I've always seen this place when stopping by dollar tree or neighboring stores but never stopped by. I kept seeing the name and my husband decided we should give it a try. We were greeted right when we entered and sat where was available. The restaurant itself is pretty tiny-- but it is cozy. Onto the food, I got the cozy special, husband got the crab mushroom sandwich, and we got a beef patty with eggs to go for my brother. The food is just the right amount, you don't feel disgustingly full afterwards, and it's really affordable. I think I just found my new kitchen spot!! The staff was really friendly and always filled our coffee and water without being asked. I feel like this is more of a "mom & pop" spot-- which I love!

Nice and efficient. Everyone was kind even with the language barrier. Free coffee refills and good portions for the price. Bacon was the best part! It's real bacon compared to the flimsy bacon you'd get at other places. 10/10 would recommend for a hole in the wall, mom and pop spot.

Fried eggs came out uncooked whites were still clear and raw sausage was stacked stored out on the counter next to us .. when asked to cook the eggs a bit longer our server was upset so we kept the raw eggs afraid she would do something to the food
