I have found my new go-to favorite bottle, right here at Cordial Bottle Shop! When they first opened at the Castro Valley Marketplace, they were located in the cellar which was downstairs on the lower level. They have since moved on the main level to a smaller section, but they still have a wonderful array of curated beverages customers can browse through. My new found fave is their 'Love You Bunches' from Santa Barbara, it is one of their only orange wines they have on the floor. Danielle was very helpful and personable, great to talk to. If you find something on the floor that you want to drink same day and it's best chilled, don't hesitate to ask if they have one that is in their fridge. They have a few high tables on the perimeter of their wine displays, they're used for their wine tasting events that occur Wednesdays 5pm-7pm $15 and Saturdays complimentary tastings from 5pm-7pm. A wine club is also available to be a part of - $54 / mo. for 2 curated bottles they'll select and provide notes for you.Wine isn't your thing? They also have other spirits, beers, and liquor available.

I'm a fan! I'm a member of their monthly wine club and it's fantastic! Bottles are in the $25ish range, one white and one red. The picks are always great and something new and interesting to try.Special shout out to Danielle. I used to be in wine retail back in the day, and she reminds me of myself. She's very passionate about the wines they carry and you can bank on her suggestions. She's also just a real sweetheart.I always enjoy popping in to see what's new.

Service was superb. Cordial Bottle shop has a very deep selection of spirits on hand. We attended an event called (A Salon of Fine Wine and Sophisticated Magic) By Magician: Dougles McCay. The wine sampled was very tasteful and good. The owner of Bottle shop is well versed with wine and spirit knowledge. A very fun and exciting time with magic was had by all. We found this magic Show and Bottle shop on Evenbrite.. A good way to spend 2 hours of your time. Great atmosphere made for a great event.

It was bittersweet when their store in San Leandro closed, but we were thrilled to discover they've opened a new one in Castro Valley. The new spot is somewhat limited in variety because of the smaller space, but what they lack in range, they make up for with their exceptional service. They're always welcoming and eager to assist, and they're very accommodating about ordering items that aren't currently in stock.

My husband and I just had date night Cordial - the wine bar in the basement of the Castro Valley marketplace. It was so cute, very reasonably priced and really tasty. In fact on par with some of our favorite places in downtown Danville and downtown Pleasanton. The waiter/bartender said that they are only open one more month or so to test this concept out in Castro Valley. I told him that we really need a place like this in CV as there are so few "classy"'places to go for date night. Would recommend everyone check them out before they close - and hopefully we can convince them to not close!!

Very friendly staff and use to have great wine... However, the shelves are consistently bare. We shop the marketplace regularly and I rarely see replenishment of wine or anything for that matter. The answer I always receive when I ask about inventory is "We're waiting on a shipment". I find that hard to believe and it's pretty disappointing because the Cordial Bottle Shop has so much potential.
