The donuts here are superb and fresh. I had a cronut the first time; this time I had a jelly. Service is friendly and fast. Ambiance is not applicable, this is a walk up counter. Cash only.

I thought I did a review of this Colonial Donuts several years ago. I do miss the one that was on the corner of 17th & Franklin, Oakland. Since I was waiting for an AC bus (40), I made a mad dash into this donut shop for something quick before that bus arrives. I am going to have to do another visit. I like their croissant. I ordered one plus a small bottled water. I did not have time to ask the employee if she had any ube donuts or French crullers. Another favorite donut I like is the blueberry cake donut. In my Arnold Schwarzenegger voice, "I'll be back." LOL.

Really good donuts and croissants! This is a small donut shop and the lady running it is so sweet. From the outside, it doesn't look like they'd be open. Sometimes she takes a lunch break but no more than 15 minutes. They are cash only so be mindful, they also sell other snack and breakfast sandwiches. It seems a lot of people of wait for the bus swing by to grab a donut. It's super convenient to grab a donut while staying at the Marriott!

Most expensive donut holes I've ever had. No wonder I don't see the prices posted. Maybe he has to pay a lot for the rent? For the price I paid, I expected a magical donut, but it just tasted like a regular one. Very disappointed.

5.90 for two maple bars?I know there's the Colonial Donuts on Lakeshore. Do they bring the donuts from there?I should have just gone to 7-eleven.

Received two stale donuts at 2.25 a piece. They were definitely over a day old. Will never go back again!

The customer service is great because each time she always welcomes me with a big smile. I think the price is reasonable while ordered a hot France vanilla and a dozen donut holes for $8 which is hard somewhere else. My hot France vanilla is always hot and perfectly sweet and donuts are soft and fresh.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went 5 min after they opened their shop and bought 2 dozen donuts. I should have suscepted something was wrong when they only had about two dozen donuts in the case. The worker piled all the donuts on top of each other haphazardly. He rang me up and added up extra charging me $6, claiming they charge $3 for the box. When I tried the donuts, they were hard as rocks and stale! I went back to the shop livid and asked for refund or replacement. The case had been conveniently refilled with fresh donuts. After I showed him how stale my donut was, he claimed that's how they are supposed to be. They are using the Colonial Donuts name but I found out they are not at all related to Colonial Donuts on Lakeshore. Take your business elsewhere. This place is awful.
