City View at METREON

This is a beautiful venue with delicious food! My husband and I recently enjoyed a night out here for Kaiser's physician appreciation gala and it was perfect!! Beautiful views, large gorgeous space both inside and outside and the food was delicious. What a wonderful event venue!!

We attended a company anniversary party here in SF with about 500 people. The views were amazing and it was almost a pleasant evening outside with no high winds. It did get a little chilly later. There were 4 food stations available plus lots of drinks. Great place to hold a big company party or even a wedding.

Great space for events, attended several from corporate parties to fashion shows. Open, conveniently located to all bus routes, downtown, and parking.

I attended an event at the City View and had a great experience. Here's why:1) Location: It's centrally located and an easy walk from many hotels.2) Views: They have a beautiful outdoor patio with amazing views of downtown San Francisco.3) Food: The catering was pretty good for a conference/event space.4) Space: It's pretty large and can be used in a variety of ways.

Lots of memories here at City View. I took my kids here when it was the "Where the Wild Things Are" Maurice Sendak amusement park and "Night Kitchen" restaurant. Then the Titanic exhibit--complete with frozen iceberg. Now City View is an event venue. I've attended half a dozen Pepcom media events here. Usually a decent assortment of companies displaying their latest tech offerings. The venue is great: wonderful views of the city, and an open space for many tables or booths. The catering has always been good, and, of course, the open bar is always nice (but please tip your bartenders!) restrooms are in the hall outside the entrance, which isn't super convenient, but they are modern and clean. Parking garage across the street is convenient--and has been validated for every event I've attended, so that's a bonus, especially here in the city!

I came here several times for an event. It has been a good space for the events I attended, both in the daytime and evening. I found the staff at the events to be efficient in clearing and replenishing the food items when low. The location is easy to get to by Bart, especially in the evening. Who wants to walk far to a Bart station? A great space to hold any type of function.

I wasn't sure if I'd ever have the opportunity to tackle the beast of City View in my lifetime, but I was recently fortunate enough to execute a 500-person conference there. Our point of contact was Christine, who was amazing throughout the whole planning process. I was a little intimidated and enamored by her expertise but learned so much. Every walkthrough was filled with education moments about San Francisco building codes and event design ideas. Christine was always on top of communication and providing resources. We couldn't have done it without her.The venue itself is impressive. On the 4th floor of the Metreon, it overlooks SOMA... Absolutely stunning and especially on a sunny day. Inside, it's an empty canvas for which you need to procure every vendor imaginable. The load-in procuredures made this easy, though.Some benefits of City View... Target and many eateries are nearby. It's near public transit. It's one floor above the AMC Theater, so you don't have random people walking around. The one downside is how expensive it is, but you really get what you pay for. I hope I have the chance to do it again!

Good venue for wine tasting events, corporate events, and such, love the balcony outdoor, to the city view of SoMa, quite beautiful on a nice day in San Francisco.They set up coat check each time I've been here. Service is attentive even with their catering service! The place can be crowded on the day with new movies coming out... Parking at the Moscone Center parking garage!

Came here a few times and each time was a challenge to find. This is located on the top floor of the Metreon, but there is little to no signage to find it. Each time I had came has been a year plus.

TL;DR nice venue and great views!Came here for a massive event, and the space served us well. It's pretty easy to access (just take the elevator up from the ground floor of the Metreon) although the signage isn't great.
