City Lights Cafe & Catering

The food was phenomenal, I couldn't believe how tasty the food was. Potatoe salad was so good, I've never tasted potato salad made perfectly. I also had a sandwich with sprouts, bacon and I'm guessing turkey, or ham. The sandwich was also delicious. In afdtion I had a pasta salad and a crustini. So all I can think of, is that i'll definitely be back. Truly a worthwhile stop in Vallejo.

City Lights has been the best! And ever since they started many moons ago Chris, Leslie, and their family always do a fine job with the restaurant and catering.

Very friendly place and people. I had the clamp chowder with a side of sourdough. Very yummy! Highly recomended!

This is a great place to stop by and grab a quick bite. Items are pre made fresh that day and they can warm up items that need it or you can take it to go. The menu is different daily but everything we had was delicious and the perfect quick stop on our way to SF

I wish I took pictures of all of the food that was catered by City Lights for a luncheon that I attended. We were all impressed and enjoyed everything for our Sunday School Teacher's luncheon. Our director ordered a variety of sandwiches, potato salad (so good), fruit salad (mix of fresh fruit-- groups, mango, watermelon, apples, etc), and they're cookies!! It was all put together on trays and covered for us, I believe they even supplied the serving spoons to go with. It was super simple and tasted so good. I personally enjoyed the brioche soft bread from the sandwiches with what tasted like a chicken salad mix with avocado, tomato, and greens. I was recommending that to everyone. We all really enjoyed it and had enough to take for work the next day. The potato salad was really good, and they're cookies were so chewy and huge!! Would definitely recommend City Lights for an easy luncheon/party!

We just discovered this fantastic lunch place in Vallejo! It's been there for years, but it's sort of hidden from view. We had a great lunch, and it was so reasonably priced. I had the special salad -- poached salmon, avocado, and 2 side salads (both delicious), and my husband had a HUGE fried chicken sandwich! It was one of the best he's had. The service as very friendly and prompt. We will definitely be back!!

City Lights catered a gathering for ~ 100 family members and friends after a memorial service. With two quick phone calls about a week beforehand, they helped determine a menu and logistics for the gathering and were able to have everything setup while the family attended the service. They provided veggie and meat sandwich options with a nice variety of finger foods, salads, and sweets. The presentation and taste was outstanding. Highly recommend their catering service.

I've been going to this business more often than not during the last couple months since discovering it. The business is family run, all of whom are very personable and good people. They have daily lunch specials, which I always used to get until I discovered their fried chicken sandwich. I have literally ordered it every day for lunch the past 3 days. I'm in trouble since I was told this item is available daily. My waist line is going to pay for my choices but it's completely worth it!!!! Their daily lunch specials are just as good. If you're looking to support a great small family business run by a good family, who make great, fresh and delicious food, this is the place to go !!!!!

To the person, G.R., who wrote, "OMG. How is this place in Vallejo?" What, you don't think that Vallejoans know how to cook or don't have taste in good food? There are many places here that have great food and great people. Vallejo is not a food mecca but certainly we are diverse and have great eateries.

My work just had City Lights Catering for lunch and it was the BEST food we have ever had. Everyone in the office was so happy. We have lunches catered alot up here in our Napa office and City Lights was HANDS DOWN the best.. The time they took in preparing the food was so nice and the salads and the sandwiches were TOP NOTCH.Please know if you have not had City Lights to cater an even you ARE MISSING OUT.Thank you City Lights...
