Food is SOOOOO flavorful! Hands down, best Chinese ever. Great service, fast, friendly and affordable.

I was craving for some good Chinese food and remembered China Wok. I forgot how the food was, so we decided to dine in on a Friday (11/15/24, 5pm). It's in a small corner spot in the downtown area of Vallejo. The dine in area is small, but decent and clean. We decided to try the basics first which was chicken chow mein, beef broccoli, shrimp fried rice and the salt & pepper fish filet. All the dishes we ordered was good. So, we went back again the following Friday (11/22/24) and tried the dry braised green beans, which was spicy, sweet n sour pork spare ribs and my favorite salt & pepper fish filets. Did not disappoint and the sweet & sour pork ribs was lip smacking good ( if you like that sweet saucy taste). The service as well was good and friendly. Can't wait to try other dishes...

Huge waste of time and money for sadly bland food.* Despite it being normal dinnertime, and despite what it says in their info, they were not seating guests -- it was takeout only.* WAITED AN HOUR for our order, with only 4 parties ahead of us, and it was the WRONG ORDER.* Waited another half-hour for our order, WHICH THEY HADN'T YET EVEN STARTED because there is only one cook doing all the kitchen work.* At home, by now super hungry and tired, we opened the bags only to find it was AGAIN, THE WRONG ORDER. But it was too late, everywhere else was closed, and we were too exhausted, so we ate it.* The food was flavorless and overcooked. Not cheap, either.The people who work there are very nice, and I feel sorry for their situation, but we'll never go to China Wok again.

Apparently this place has been under new management meaning new owner, new cook. We've been in Vallejo since 2003 and China Wok Cuisine was introduced to us by my late mother in law and my family and I had been visiting the place since. But since our retirement in 2019 plus the pandemic in 2020, our visits had been sporadic. Anyway, we just ordered our usual favorites but to our surprise not only did everything looked different, they also tasted different as well. Well, more like tasteless. For starters, the fried chicken wings and the salt and pepper spareribs were overcooked. No taste unless you bathe them in the sauce they came with. The chicken curry was dry as a bone as if it was cooked in curry powder rather than curry sauce. The same goes for the fish fillet with black bean sauce. We could see the black beans but could barely see a trace of the sauce. My husband who has difficulty chewing solid food was so disappointed when he saw the chunks of the supposedly fish "fillet". The combination mushu looked like just a pile of shredded vegetables. The previous owner was voted #1 in Vallejo because their food was indeed delicious. This new management is not even close, not even by a mile! How disgusting...definitely not going back nor wasting our money at this place ever again!!!UPDATE:Owner's response is quite rude as if stating that since mentioned that we are retired (only in my 50's while hubby is in his mid 60's) he seem to insinuate that we're to acknowledge that we're OLD and to just accept that our tastes change as well as the world BUT not their cooking?? We've already accepted it when the restaurant refused to give us a refund but this was just way too rude coming from the owner.

I order delivery from this place and the food is prepared quickly. I always get my order in about 15-20 minutes. The portions are reasonable for the price.My favorite dish is probably the chow fun. I've tried the honey walnut prawns and the candied walnuts and the prawns themselves are good but the batter is a little thick for my liking. I also wish the chow mein had more vegetables. The food in general is ok. Overall, if you want quick and affordable Chinese food, I would give this place a try and see if its for you.

This place used to be my go to for decades. However, I had been hearing it has changed in the wrong direction. I ordered my usual lunch special & I see it's true. Fried rice was gross. There was a couple specks of egg & the rice was gummy & unseasoned. Tasted like brown rice. Egg roll was super soggy inside. 3 stars just for the years of good food & the hope they are getting things together.

Long story short, I normally eat at the New China Barn. It was closed today so, I thought I would give the place a try. The delivery was really fast. The food didn't have any flavor, but my family and I tolerated because of the money spent. When my 12yr old grandson found hair in the sweet and sour chicken the food went in the trash. Fifty plus dollars down the drain..... I'm sooooo mad I hate wasting money!!! Never Again The took me out!!!'

Outstanding food and excellent service with gluten free and dairy free options for me. My family is partial to their chow mein, bbq pork and everything else they've tried as we rotate through their menu. Lovely environment inside with happy plants and it always smells like heaven from their house made chili sauce. Thank you for being such a safe spot for this super-sensitive celiac. I'm always looking forward to our next visit!

We had China Wok delivered by DoorDash last night. The food was delicious, not floating in sauce and the portions seemed generous!Ordered Curry Chicken, Orange Beef (with real oranges), salt and Pepper Bean Curd and Veggie Chow Mein. All were tasty, could haveBeen a little spicier, we love spicy! This is our first time ordering from China Wok and will definitely be going back!

Best quality food , great service! The kids love the food here. We enjoy having dinner here, the crispy wings are one of my sons favorites!
