Visited recently for dinner and we had a great night! The food was delicious and high quality. We sampled hummus, pita chips, eggplant dip to start. Then beef and chicken skewers with either roast potatoes or rice and a nice salad. Seems like a great deal.Wine selection was good and the owner helped us pick a bottle that really delighted us. Charming setting, a real neighborhood spot. Some outdoor dining too on Solano avenue.

The food was unfortunately cold and not very good. We were disappointed in the cost for what the quality was. As someone who is from Michigan where there is great middle eastern food, this was not good at all. It wasn't fresh.. chicken was dry.. the falafel dry and somehow bitter. The baklava was the only good item

Despite there being a full food menu, this place describes itself as a wine bar. This was communicated to us as we were looking at the menu and thinking about what to order. It is best to look at this place as a wine bar with tapas-style food to share. Food (ordered for a table of 4 people):- Meaza Platter (forgot to get a photo): this was a good starter. With one member of our party being allergic to eggplant, we asked if the baba ghanoush could be put into a separate plate. It was then communicated again that this place specializes in wine and not food. We tried to understand what was going on and were told that the baba ghanoush could be replaced with more of another item (like hummus), but it would not just be put on another plate separate from the platter...- Chicken Shawarma: this was everyone favorite dish as the chicken was tasty. Size is enough for one person's meal or can be shared with others if more dishes are ordered - Beef and Lamb Shawarma: seemed to not be a fan favorite, but was still good. Size is enough for one person's meal or can be shared with others if more dishes are ordered - Cucumber Salad: tasty and a nice addition to the meats and rice we ordered - Basmati Rice: both shawarma plates came with basmati rice, but we also ordered an additional side to have more. - Pita bread: we were told the pita bread was homemade and made fresh. Half of the bowl tasted like the Stacy's pita chips you buy at the grocery store, and the other half was soft wheat pita bread. Regardless, the mix of textures was not ideal, especially with the softer pita bread warming up the crispy onesMiscellaneous:- Bathroom available in the back just past the hostess stand that leads to the kitchen - Parking is available via street parking - Reservations available on Yelp

What a bizarre place.Let's get the simple stuff out of the way. The wine list at this "wine bar" is terrible. Mid-shelf Safeway, Joel Gott-level. Nothing remotely interesting. The waitress helpfully told us that women like Sauvignon Blanc. The food is mediocre. Kebabs small and overcooked, shwarma flavorless. Pita bread from the store (and tonight, stale). Ditto the pita chips. All the salads, falafel, hummus -- plain, unremarkable, nothing to suggest they're actually made in-house. The "large" kebab portions are around $25 for a single skewer of small pieces, a scoop of rice, and an unremarkable green cafeteria salad.BUT THERE WAS DANCING! It's like visiting a Twilight Zone episode. Picture interior decor of mid-80s fern bar meets Antiques Roadshow saloon. Add a woman wearing a forced smile while performing 30 minutes of sort-of-belly-dancing to recorded music, while patrons tucked dollar bills in her skirt. Hands down, one of the strangest dinners I've had.

Food was delicious and the staff friendly. Nice decor. I would like to see more drink options and I would rate it a 5, but otherwise this place is fantastic!!!

Yesterday Nina and I had lunch here. I hadn't been here since just before the pandemic shutdown so I had forgotten how generous the portions were. Nina was already seated when I arrived. I walked in and was greeted by Ali, the owner. We already had menus on the table. We decided to share a mezze platter to start and then she wanted a beet salad and I ordered a Caesar. We both ordered tea to drink. The mezze was delivered first and it was abundant. See my previous review to see what it contained. We each had a falafel and a dolmas. I put mine into a wedge of pita and smashed it, adding some hummus, baba ganoush and tabuleh. The rest of the hummus and baba ganoush we scooped up w/ pita chips, which we both loved. Everything was delicious. Nina had a few bites of her beet salad, which had lots of beets, in contrast to the paltry number in the beet salad at Walnut Tavern. I couldn't eat my Caesar, so I took it home and had some of it w/ dinner last night. It had been sitting in the dressing since lunch, so it was just the way I like it. Nina took home the rest of her salad and what remained of the mezze, mostly tabuleh and bits of this and that, along w/ the pita, because I didn't want any of it, having more than enough food in the house. No question I will return sooner than close to 4 years. Nina and I agreed that we want to add it to our lunch rotation.

Lovely food and owner. I wish they didn't use so much plastic for take-out. One meal and we end up with a pile of black plastic containers that are not recyclable or reusable.

I always have a great meal here and the wines are perfectly wonderful. Live music too! Mansour has attracted a very dedicated local following for a good reason.

Food: It's low quality, small, cold, dry, no spices, so very basic, unimaginative, , ... I thought I give their food another try & they didn't disappoint to disappoint!! Service: only one server, hurried, impatient with questions regarding the menu, brought one entree after we were all done. Drinks came after dinner was served , food came out 5 min after appetizers which we had hardly even started, also tasted oddly fermented & cold. Ambiance: it's nice & cozy, OK band.. I think they should stick to being a wine/music bar with some professionally made small plates..Will not go back.
