Great experience this morning. Lia was friendly and knowledgeable. She provided great customer service. I was carrying popcorn to my seat and Ray was in the hall and opened the door to the theater for me. Small gesture but it's nice to be in a place where the employees / manager "care". The popcorn was so good and the overall grounds were clean. Definitely would go back and recommend.

I'm unsure of all the irrelevant reviews here as this Yelp listing is primarily for the one on B Street in Hayward. Anyhow they will be opening again on Friday and we're kind of disappointed with the new movie theater protocol.Part of the movie theater experience is to have snacks and drinks going to the movie theaters. Unfortunately these will not be sold in any theater in Alameda County and you are not allowed to bring your own in. To me, if someone has a diabetic blood sugar event, and needs something sugary to drink to get their energy back up, you can't because it's prohibited. I think that it may be worth it to go out some other counties where they are allowing it again and doing it safely because movies are not movies without popcorn and drinks. Appears also that prices may be raised on tickets as well. Am cancelling the Cinemark Movie Club membership until Alameda County and Cinemark can figure this out.

This is sneak preview for The newest theater to come to east bay, yes in the southland mall. This theater comes with all the bells and whistles, new with awesome lazyboy, reclining comfort, set warmer to keep u nice and toasty. they have both small and big theaters with state of art Sound-systems best of all they will be about to serve alcohol yes you heard that right alcohol in this movie theater. I can't wait till this place opens up and come here to catch my latest flicks. Thank you once again special viewing party. :)

So first off need to go downstairs past food court in mall, escalator broken, so hike down or for disabled crame into elevator. Entrance to theater doors look like entering some random back room.2 ticket sales people, 4 or 5 ticket kiosks, couple food lines. Standard movie eats, candy section sucks. 5 total screens. Seats are reclining style but whoever thought of this version should be beaten, most uncomfortable recliners ever made, chair hikes up your butt, lowers back to far and legs dont go all the way up, sat without recliner for 99% of movie. To exit your herded past bathrooms so crowd, then right back into packed food court. First and last time here and live less than 5 min away. Union city still best theater, food and recliners are the best

I find it SO awesome they decided to open a new theater in the area because it does get kind of annoying going to the downtown area just to watch a movie. Lol. One thing's for sure, parking is never an issue here because they're everywhere and Southland Mall is pretty small. Anyway, back to the theater-- the entrance is on the bottom floor next to the food court area. Since it's new, it's clean and fancy, and sure hope it's kpe that way. It's a little smaller compared to other theaters I've been to, but what they have in their auditorium is what truly counts here! The seats recline.. and get this... THEY HAVE SEAT HEATERS ON THEM!! What, what??? My husband and I came here recently to watch Captain Marvel, however, I felt the theater was also a bit smaller (we came almost 30 minutes before the actual showing), so we ended up sitting in the very front row.. which kind of gave us neck aches since the seats didn't recline as much. We were looking up most of the time and the action scenes of the movie only made me nauseated. I'm not too sure if other auditoriums are bigger, but just a heads up (literally)!

This rating is just for the cleanliness of the facility. No complaints with the staff. The last room on the left-hand side at the very end of the right hallway needs some attention. The theater had a strong vomit smell in row 'G'. Fortunately, our showtime had a lot of vacant seats, so we were able to move down to an unoccupied section in the front row behind the ADA seating, which didn't smell as bad.The seats are significantly worn down, dirty and in need of reupholstery. Not sure if the smell is coming from the seats or the floor.

The people that come here are disrespectful. I got my tickets on the app with reserved seats. When we got there, a family of 4 were in our seats. When asked about their tickets for seat numbers, they just told me to sit at another seat (which is next to them. I guess they want the center seats that I reserved). Since I dont want to cause a scene, I just sat where they told me to sit. I checked the app again and the seats where they sat are still available on the app. They are just movie hoppers. I wish they would be more strict about this. Ive never encountered this at other movie theatres before. Also people just throw and spill popcorn on the floor like they own the theatre. Disgusting. I will not be watching any movies here anymore.
