Omg- my coworker and I were not expecting to eat here for lunch and one day fate had us order carne asada and carnitas super nachos with plaintains with black beans and sour cream- best decision ever!The nachos were delicious - meat was flavorful, chips were crispy, cheese was melted, there was beans, pick de gallo, sour cream, guac- the works. Oh but the plaintains - that is a dish to remember. It served as the perfect side dish and dessert. Those sweet, tender, caramelized plaintains with a spoonful of the creamy black beans and sour cream were a flavor party in my mouth. My coworker and I shared the meal with our other coworker and it was just right. Also it was around $20 for both dishes and thus, affordable since it fed 3 of us.I will definitely be on the lookout for when the Cassave food truck pulls up on Wed or Thur in snow park. And I'm getting 2 orders of plaintains next time.

Baja fish tacos are delicious. Fresh fish and great taste. The food truck taco scene in Oakland is possibly the best in the Bay Area.

I was pretty surprise that the Baja fish taco was good. Didn't really expect much from a food truck. Just need to grab a bite to get back to the madness at work. The fish was crispy and extremely refreshing with the first bite right into the crunchy slaw which coated a hint of lemon. The pick de gallo was a bomb with the heat and tangy tasty. The tortilla was soft and just enough to avoid the sauce and juice dripping through, Would definite try their pupusa on their next visit to OTown.

I was pumped to try Cassave but boy did I order wrong. The shrimp taco was good, colorful, large enough, but it was prettier than it was flavorful. I loved the presentation with the edible flower and the gorgeous, plump shrimp, but the runny black beans and fragile tomato slice didn't do anything to help it. However, I was more disappointed by my main entree order, of their special Crab Burrito Bowl. Which was... NOT a burrito bowl at all. As the strangers sitting around me pointed out. It's a salad with some cold crab bits on top. There's no rice but there is a bunch of diced iceberg lettuce a few odd tomato slices, 3 red onion rings, 3 slices of avocado, radish, and a lemon slice with what seemed like 1000 island dressing? It was... not my favorite and I don't think it would've been many people's even based on looks because I went to eat at a table with 2 different groups of strangers and both commented on the sadness and questionable nature of this "burrito bowl". A burrito's made ingredient isn't lettuce and I feel like this could've been a really delicious item had it actually been in any way burrito-esque, but it was not. It was a basic salad with a lump of crab sauce on top. I'd try them again given all the same food truck options but based on all the other reviews, sounds like I needed to order the baja fish tacos which Yelpers seem to rave about.

Cassave Mobile Taqueria was a pleasant surprise. it's B & M is on san pablo ave.menu: tacos, burritos, tortas, sobes, quesadilla, nachos, pupusa, fried plaintains, aqua fresca.OTG: Uptown Oakland(6/30)eats: 3 tacos/5.75-lengua, pastor, asada, were all fresh, tender, also juicy,-accompanied by cilantro, onions, salsa-garanishes-radish/jalepeno slices, only hot salsa providedtake outs:-one of the freshest proteins ever eaten from a food truck or B & M.-portions on small size. still a good value for freshness/tenderness-only hot salsa given..-worthy of 5 stars....

Haven't had "good" tacos from a food truck in a long time. Thank you Cassave for making my day... for under $8, you can get three tacos with your choice of meat.I had carnitas, carne asada and al pastor... all of them were tasty, moist, right off the grill flavors. Their salsa was pretty awesome as well!The agua horchata was good but a little too sweet, but I can appreciate that they didn't load it with a bunch of ice.

So delish! Their baja fish tacos are a must try, they're so delicious. I love the chipotle sauce they have on them. I like how it's served with a nice sized lemon slice versus a lime slice. Lemon totally compliments the fish!

Got the al pastor, asada, and chicken tacos as a trio and they were delicious! Meat was tender and warm, salsa was delicious, and folks at the truck were incredibly kind.

Best nachos I've ever had. Super friendly staff running the trucks, and I'm not kidding when I say their nachos are amazing and I eat them minimum 2x a month, if not more.
