I'm sorry Carmen just had your Barbecue. I hate to leave such a negative review but you need to understand what's going on. You ribs were very dry and your barbecue sauce tastes like medicine. Your Potato salad was extremely bland. To top it off you gave me slice of bread from a supermarket. If you want to be successful you need help. Change your recipe for the sauce, potato salad, figure out how not to dry your ribs and give a dam about your bread.

This is the absolute BEST bbq around. Mild & medium sauces are both tasty. Haven't tried the hot one just because we're not too big on spicy. Plenty big enough to share. The baked beans & scalloped potatoes on the side were both delicious. Can't wait to come back for more

Finally, BBQ is fit for a king. Homemade beef links with mild sauce and candied yams. Jamaican me crazy for this excellent food. I now can eat BBQ in California!!!! Thank you, YHWH. For those of you who are barbecue. For snobs, like me this spot is it. The medium sauce. It's a little bit good with a punch. And gosh, hot, will knock you out. The seating is adequate, the food quantities are filling and a very congenial Here you are guaranteed good people and you will truly enjoy the visit. Not only the ambiance but their professionalism and candor which only makes eating the food there much better. After a self imposed 40 year hiatus, I finally made my way back to a favorite spot! I had the pleasure of introducing this place to my wife and brother in law. We were not disappointed! The food and the people serving were exactly how I remembered! The staff on hand may have changed (next generation), but the food was exactly as it was when I was a teenager! I will not wait so long again to go back, and possibly take my sons!

If you are craving smoked bbq and side dishes like sweet potatoes and greens go to Carmen & Family VBQ We have been going to Carmen & Family BBQ for years and are always satisfied with the taste and quality of the food, especially the homemade beef links. The restaurant also serves brisket, ribs and chicken. For dessert try the homemade sweet potato pie that is spiced to perfection.

Ive been ordering from here for years, one of the best spots in the bay area. Great meat and sauce and usually get the mac n cheese on the side.

I went to this place yesterday. I got a jerk chicken and beef link lunch.The chicken was very dry just like the links. For $44.00 this was awful!I put the BBQ sauce on it to try to kill the dryness and it still did not work!I believe it was left over from the night before!I give this pace a -5 rating!

Definetly .. not so great ! Plus it wasn't worth what I paid for ? Meat tasted old and over cooked ! . Dry . And definetly wasn't worth it. !! Service wasn't so great either ! Very unhappy lady . Maybe next time ! But I doubt I will be returning . Walk in customer .
