REVIEWER # 4I first discovered Caria Wines during Taste of Richmond at Riggers Loft Winery and I'm so happy to have found this place! Relevantly new, this winery was founded in 2005 and made wine at the local winery in Alameda at Rock Wall Wine Company. As we all know, Rock Wall grew business really quickly and Caria Wines had to find another home. Caria Wines was discovered by two close friends: Charlie and Dick. Dick supplied the grapes and Charlie, with his amazing wine-making skills came together to create their first bottle of the 2005 Sauvignon Blanc (my personal favorite). Now they are nestled in Richmond with beautiful views overlooking the Bay Bridge and views of San Francisco, what more could you ask for? Carica Wine focuses on Red Rhone's, however, since I am not a big red wino I decided to try there tasty Sauvignon Blanc, which is really tasty and one of their popular whites on the white wine side of things. They offer Wine tastings and tours at their new location which is at the Riggers Loft, on the edge of San Francisco Bay in Richmond's Shipyard District. They also offer a Caria Wine Club which gives you: 20 % discount for wine purchases, Free tasting flight of Carica wines at the Tasting Room, 4 shipments per year( February, May, September, and November -- each with 4 bottles selected by the Winemaker) and best of all? Free to join!I will certainly be back to try more of their tasty wines!

I tried a few of their wines here and thought all of them had the characteristic that would bring me back as a customer. The Sauvignon and Rose were perfect. I 'm looking forward to the Grenache on a picnic this summer. All the wines were low tannins and acid which is what I like. The fruit was bold and lush. So many to try. Great experience at "The Riggers Loft" in Point Richmond. 5 Star location on the bay.

Can you say AMAZING!?! I am in love with this boutique, single- vineyard winery! Located in the amazing Rigger's Loft, Point Richmond. I love their Petite Syrah! I can't wait to see what they release next Sauvignon Blanc and rosé as their new editions, I just can't wait! I definitely will be trying them! Thank you Carica!

We recently visited Carica's new location at Rigger's Loft. Gorgeous views of the bay and SF! Very nice large tasting room. And the wines! Oh my, they match the view! You must try the Syrah and Petite Sirah. Both are excellent examples of these wines, made from grapes from some of the best vineyards in CA. We bought 6 bottles to share with friends and family and will be back for more. Carica's Sav Blanc is one of the best I have ever had and the Rose is dry and fruity- great for spring and summer. If you want to try some great wines with a great view without driving to wine country you have to visit Carica's new location.
