Lot of amazing options from eastern part of India which I absolutely loved. Chicken roll was great. Veggie chops were good too. I have to come back here to try their biriyani which my friends say was good. They get a lot of DoorDash orders so it's possible there will be a wait time before you get your order if you are visiting in person. The ambience is simple. They have regular chairs table. It's a bit tight but enough to fit about 30-50 people. We did pick up from here but look forward to coming back once in the area again.

I've ordered from this place a few more times and gotten better food.Egg devil and veg chop were awesome!Biriyani was great as well.The Tangra Chilli chicken was chewy and seemed stale. Otherwise would have given them 5 stars.

This time not so good experience ....We ordered the chicken lunch combo and goat lunch combo. Both of them comes with rice, naan bread, sabji daal (lentil soup with vegetables including cauliflower, cashews etc..), mixed vegetable and chicken/goat curry.Except the main item (chicken/goat curry) everything else is fantastic!When it comes to the chicken/goat curry, they taste good but there's only bones and very little (and I really mean very little) meat on the bone.Honestly, I would rather pay extra for the combo to get at least one decent meat piece rather than getting only bones. The conclusion is still the place is very good in terms of authentic taste but if the management is reading this please change so that there's some meat in meat dishes! People would be more than happy to pay $5 extra if that's what it takes to get a decent meat piece in a meal!!

I recently visited Calcutta Chaat House and Bakery and was thoroughly impressed. The masala tea was perfect, just the way I like it, with the right balance of spices and sweetness. It was a comforting start to my meal. The Bengali fish fry was another highlight, with its crispy exterior and tender, flavorful inside, reminding me of authentic Kolkata street food.The Mughlai paratha, their bestseller, lived up to its reputation. It was perfectly cooked, with a delicious, hearty filling that made it a satisfying choice. The samosa chaat was equally delightful, featuring a blend of crisp samosas, tangy chutneys, and fresh toppings that created an explosion of flavors.Overall, my experience at Calcutta Chaat House and Bakery was excellent. Each dish was well-prepared and flavorful, making it a place I highly recommend. I look forward to my next visit to try other items on their menu.

Quick friendly service, great food and flavors. Their Manchurian is quite good - small portions but hits the mark. Like the ginger flavor on it. Simple ambiance - nothing fancy.

We ordered Samosa Chaat and it had Amazing Taste with Fresh Chutney ... We will definitely try other chaat items next time !!

I was really looking forward to having chaat at this place. I ordered in advance to pickup the order so that I could pick up my kid on time. When I got there, the no one was at counter and when they came, they kept assuring me that it's ready. Waited there for about 30min before I got the food. The Calcutta version of Scottish egg was good. Wasn't very hot. The Kati roll was okay.They messed up the payment and called me later asking me to pay again since it didn't go through.

Food was okay! I didn't order chaat so I really can't comment on that. I ordered noodles, didn't realize it was thin ones not the Hakka noodles. Taste was good. Service was good. The guy answered all the questions. He was right about the sweet dish made by the owner. It was very yummy. It was like milk cake but different for sure.

I had coronavirus on the night after I ate there in May 2024. I started coughing vigorously. I am a stay at home person and didn't go outside before. My family was not sick. So I doubt it came from this restaurant food. Taking care of hygiene and wearing masks while food preparation and serving are important.Otherwise the food is pretty good and a go to snack place for Bengalis.

We were searching for Diwali Sweets and Calcutta Chaat & Bakery caught our eye. We visited them today and found the experience delightful. The staff is very warm and welcoming, nice ambience and about food- well that's next topic.To begin with, we had Misti Doi (A typical Bengali Sweet Yogurt) and Sandesh (Jolvora Gurer Sandesh) typically prepared using Jaggery made from sap of date Palm ( or from Sugarcane). Both were excellent, but the Sandesh was out of this world. We did order 4-5 more plates of Sandesh and Misti Doi.Next was Fuchka- (Paani Poori) 7 Pieces can filled with potato and masala and separate container for Pani Puri water. We found the taste to be amazing, but by same token, Pani Puri is a tough act. All the people have different expectations and it is difficult to meet them all. This is typical street version with mild masala and water. We loved it, but I am sure some connoisseur's of pani puri may find it underwhelming due to mildness. I would not want to change anything and every time I go next, I will be ordering Fuchka.Jhal muri a version of Bengali Bhel was next in our course and we loved it due to its simplicity. I am pretty sure, this dish they can make it more spicier as they add thinly cut green chilies and just by adding more, they will be able to satisfy a large crowd.We also tried Dahi Fuchka and found it little below par. Not that there is anything wrong with it. It is just that all the other dishes were exemplary and this was very good, so it scored comparatively less.We also tried Street King Egg Roll and it was very good.We also tried Calcutta Style Vegetable Cutlet (Made with Beetroot Masala) - a Very healthy snack. We did not buy this snack, but this was given to use for tasting by a fellow foodie AG who was visiting with his family and he forced us, with such an affection/love that we could not refuse. Thank you AG. This is the only time I have tried Beetroot filled cutlets in USA. If you are coming here, this is a must try dish.This is a small place with a big heart and your belly will be thanking you.
