Calaca Coffee

Must try local coffee shop in Crockett!Kept seeing this on my instagram and got recommended by my sister to try it when I went back to the Bay. As it is local, you need to know that there is a wait but it's worth it. I tried the levanta muertos cold brew and it was necessary for a nice pick me up. I'll return to this coffee shop next time I'm around to be able to try out different items from the menu.

Small little local coffee. Always supporting Latino owned businesses. I love the vibe, the options were unique and delicious. Service was great, owners were very friendly! There's a shared seating area with plenty of space. I'll be coming back!

My friend and I popped in here because we wanted to do some photography and explore. We had both seen Calaca on IG and wanted to try it out. We came on a Saturday at around 10:30am, and it was packed!Because it was cold, I got a hot drink, the Xoco latte, and despite the wait, the drink was absolutely delicious! While I will say that the drink was absolutely worth it, and the guys were working as fast as they could, I'm not a fan of lines and next time will come earlier or later to miss the rush. After walking around a bit, it looked like the shop had quieted down, so I got another drink, the Piloncillo Latte, and again, absolutely delicious and great flavors!This place was so good, that I decided to drive out here after a Friday morning workout to try the iced Cafe De Olla latte, and added Oatchata foam. Again, can't say enough good things about the drinks. This time, they also had conchas, so I tried the blue maize one and it was perfection. One more thing that I'd like to add is that the guys working are so nice and it was a pleasure to chat with them and learn a bit more about their business. They are super welcoming and you can tell how invested and excited they are about their business!

Cool little cafe with strong Mexican flavors. Coffee barista was very nice and patient with me. The inside decor is beautiful with the Luchador mural and nice music. I got the Latte with the pilonsillo syrup and a Dulce De Leche latte and a Xoco Latte for my friends. Will be back to try the foams.

I tried the dulce de leche latte and it was so good! Not overly sweet and there's an option to add flavored foams if you want it a little sweeter. The owner, Jose, was also my barista and he really added to my great experience. I could tell he genuinely cared about his customers' experience. The cafe only opened a few months ago and Jose mentioned adding pastries and snacks in the future. I'm excited to go back and try some of the other options and also see what is added in the future.

Had the xocomil latte with tres leches foam. It was excellent. The foam adds another dimension to the flavor profile. Baristas were very nice and patient with a first timer. Seating is in a communal space with the Lucia's craft sandwiches next door.

What can I say that can describe how delicious their coffee is other than...This is damn good coffee! Came in on Small Business Saturday to support our local shops, snuggled next to Lucia's craft sandwhich shop, on 605 Second Ave! this was the perfect combo I've been dreaming of! Coffee and hearty sandwich to go! Although we ended up staying awhile! In between is a cozy hang out communal space with unique chairs and seating. Back to the coffee! We got the best of it all! 2 dulce de leche iced cold brew with a twist of Oatchata foam and 3 leches foam! MMMMHMMM! That hit the spot! Definitely will be back! The two owners were kind, outgoing and even telling us a little about why the picked Crockett for their brick and mortar and local events! Santa and a fun crew of locals drove by as it was Sip n Shop event day! A refreshing new spot that gives me a reason to come to Crockett to visit this new brick and mortar! Only regret didn't take enough pics, too busy enjoying the atmosphere, easy parking out front and hang out area: thank you for a great Saturday! :)

Amazing coffee! I had the xoco latte & my friend got the Dulce De Leche latte both with the horchata foam on top. 10/10 would recommend this spot

I'm so glad the boys are back in town with a brick and mortar location. I enjoy Calaca's authentic style, tasteful ingredients and reliable service with a smile. And, I love supporting innovative small businesses. Our future depends on it!
