Stopped by a few times last week when I was on the Cal-Berkeley campus for a Climate Tech event at the Haas business school nearby. Lines can be long but move quickly. The tables are usually full, which didn't bother me as I was taking my food and drinks to go. The food choices are adequate for a café - they have fruit which is always welcome. I ordered a hot matcha latte (my daily fix) every day I was there - it was about $6 before tip (they charge extra if you need a disposable cup) and it was well made. Will be back!

Went here bc I was near Haas and didn't want to go off campus for matcha. I usually opt for oat milk, but I really didn't want to drop another dollar for milk substitute. The drink with just whole milk was not disappointing surprisingly. Idk about the togo sizing, but the dine in sizing was good. Expensive food thoughq

I've been here a few times, the food is good but it can be a bit pricey (a burger/fries combo is about $18). Though it is a popular study area as there is inside/outside seating.

Cafe Think is located on the second floor of the Chan building on the Haas portion of UC Berkeley. It's usually super busy with undergrads and graduate students studying and having meetings. It's a great place to study and usually very clean, there's also a nice outdoor patio in the back and a lot of seats in the front. Cafe Think really isn't the best place for coffee or food but it's location is prime for students. The coffee itself is not good and everything is pretty overpriced (a small iced coffee with soy milk was a little more than $5). I've also found that the workers can be pretty rude to students.

2023/04/25 11:00good for grabbing a drink or quick bite between classes/events- started serving the lunch menu at 11AM- ordered for here, but they also offered normal as well as reusable takeout containers (Foodware)BUDDHA ($16.75): bowl with roasted tempeh, mushrooms, pickled onion, spinach, Japanese sweet potato, browm rice, turmeric tahini sauce- wish it came with avocado like the other bowls - only the tempeh was warm; the sweet potato, spinach, and mushrooms were served fridge-temp- too much brown rice- tahini sauce was tangy like a vinaigrette CHAI LATTE 16 OZ ($4.75)- available hot or iced- was a little bland; could've used more spice

So expensive, very convenient, nice seating area/study spot. I've been coming here since my freshman year at Cal and I really like the ambiance in general. Good level of background noise to get busy work done. Coffee itself is fine, the fried chicken sandwich is my favorite food item. Breakfast is also pretty solid. Like I alluded though, this place can't be a go-to because the costs add up so fast. Employees are nice. Cafe uses buzzers to let you know when your order is ready so you can step away from the main area while waiting if you'd like. Overall good, just so pricey.

I would say Cafe think serves it's purpose: a quick and easy stop for food while on campus. I would really only go here if I had to meet up with friends to study, desperate for coffee, or forgot to eat breakfast when I headed to campus.Pros: convenience, good study spots, outdoor patioCons: no outlets, louder side of study spaces, pricier

The fries here are great :). The portion is huge for the price, and it also comes with 2 different sauces. Definitely worth it!

This place is expensive! Perhaps they think that MBA students are more able to afford higher prices than undergrads...? Or they just have to pay off the expenses for the shiny new Chou Hall. In any case, none of the foods are worth the price in my opinion. It's like they're trying to be fancier and healthier than the old FIFO cafe, but sacrificing taste and affordability.Unfortunately, there aren't too many food options immediately around, so if you only have 10 minutes in between classes at Chou and are starving, you can either starve for the next 2+ hours in class or pay up.Thankfully, their lattes are not bad at all - they're the one thing I'm willing to get more than once. Plus, I need some caffeine for those long class days.I've also tried the matcha latte - it's okay but prefer the regular lattes - and the chai latte, which was rather watery. At least I know they don't use the overly-sweet chai powder, but still would pick the espresso latte any day.Other items: the spinach pastry tastes weirdly healthy (though it's still quite oily), with whole leaves of spinach inside and a more-doughy, less-flakey pastry. They don't have a toaster oven or anything; if you want to try to toast your pastry, there is a bread toaster next to the food pick-up window. The banh mi is definitely nothing like real banh mi.What I WOULD come back here for:+ Regular latte+ Studying (without purchasing anything) - love the wooden tables, abundance of natural lighting from the huge windows, and outdoor seating area surrounded by trees!
