Love this place! Wife and I use it as our go-to every time we can sneak away from the kids. Great vibe. Owner is super nice and will take time to educate and explain to us uninitiated:)

Finally got lucky on one of the few weekends a year Caddis is open. Loved it! Chris and his family are very enthusiastic and they should be. The wine is great. We walked away with a couple of bottles. The merlot was a particular standout as was the '13 Syrah from Ghielmetti Vineyard. Check these guys out!

This is a hidden gem of Livermore. They're only open about 8 weekends a year but I'm glad we got the time to try them out. The winemaker came over and chatted with us for about 20 minutes. His mom works at the winery so it's a real family affair. Great people, amazing wine. The pours are hefty and there was not a bad wine on the tasting menu. We even bought a Chardonnay without tasting it given the others were very good. We will certainly go back and if you're looking to go off the beaten path from the usual wineries-- this is a must try!

I am so impressed. We have been here twice now (which is awesome because they are not always open), and have had a fabulous time both times. Amazing wines, great people, live entertainment and little bites. The staff is soooo friendly. We had the most amazing conversations with the two retired gentlemen who worked both times we were there. They were not only knowledgeable about wine, but also about life. We *almost* became members here, but having 12 wine clubs already, we need to ditch a few before we sign up for another. But all in all, I would definitely come back. Give this place a try, just call ahead to make sure they are open.

No doubt the best and most exclusive winery in Livermore. Love, Love this mans wine. We went here on the holiday in the vineyard event and fell in love. Friendly people, very small shop, but a nice lab setup. Livermore fruit. He even uses a really, really old wooden grape press. I am definitely kicking myself for not signing up for the wine club. I should've bought more while I was there.

Wow, I'm impressed. When I was there (I think he is only open on special occasions and by appt) he only had 3 wines. But man were they good. 2 reds and a white. Not cheap, but you definitely get more than what you pay for. He just one some big medals too. Bottles start at 35 and go up to about 45 if memory serves. I've had $90 bottles I didn't like better.I met the owner and he said he actually teaches the wine class at the local jr college. He said many of the grapes came from local estates. How cool!My only complaint, after talking to him he didn't know much about fly fishing. HE NAMED HIS WINERY AFTER A FISHING LURE!! -1/2 star.

I feel like this winery is a hidden secret. It is only open a few weekends a year and a reservation is recommended. It is best to sign up for for emails and they email you with updates and when the winery is open. It was our first time here, all of the wines we tried were delicious (the rose and 4 reds.) The wines were priced around $32-$50+ / bottle. The tasting is $20/person and is waived if you buy 2 or more bottles. The winemaker walked around and talked with the tables which was really nice. The tasting was outside, they had tables in the shade and umbrellas over the tables. The restroom is clean but it is a portable restroom. We will be back or visit the tasting room in Sonoma!

Chris and Courtney are doing a wonderful job with their wines! Chris is a dedicated, and expert wine maker. Their Cab and Better Together are my favorites. We have been a member for several years and have watched them grow. So excited that they have opened their own tasting room in Sonoma. Can't wait to check it out!
