Cabana Dave's Catering

I ordered for the first time on Mother's Day weekend, we arrived to pick up the orders, I had bought the Board Room tray & the wine package. They looked organized, but they had to go find my order and I had to show them my email receipts because they didn't have my order on file...took a little longer but that was fine. They also gave out flowers for Mother's Day which was super nice! When we arrived home I unpacked & cleaned everything, and noticed I didn't get a Chardonnay, so I emailed Cabana Dave's right away to check to see what to do. I followed up with another email on 5/13 with no response. UPDATE Dave called me back personally today-he explained that they've been swamped & he said sorry for not getting back to me sooner. He has the wine & I can pick it up tomorrow! I love that they are helping local businesses during this time, and really I'd give more stars if I could get someone to respond to my question. I'll defiantly order again, mistakes happen but it's great when they are fixed! Thanks Dave!

Dave and his team have done 3 parties for me, to date. I can't say enough good things about them. But, let me get started.After shopping around for other caterers who would get my "vision", I remembered Dave and e-mailed my ask. One or two quick calls, and a teeny bit of back and forth, we got the most amazing and unique menu for 100 guests at the Barn in Livermore.The staff was professional, courteous and provided great service. Our bartender was hard working (my crowd can drink) and never let anyone see him sweat.The udon bar was a huge hit. Something about slurping comforting broth and drinking vodka that just pair well together.Not only was the experience -- from inception to execution -- a pleasure, but Cabana Dave's pricing and flexibility were also way better than anyone else's. HIghly recommend!

Cabana Dave's catered our Tiki themed bridal shower for my nephew and his fiance. They did a great job! The food was delicious and they were so concerned about serving and integrity of the food they sent a person to set up and stick around to make sure our sliders were perfect. (they were!)Pork sliders were my favorite. So glad we had a veggie option with portobello sliders. Pasta salad and a regular salad with a yummy balsamic dressing.They also recommended a rental place to us that also worked out great.Great experience and would definitely will go back.Thank you to Roni Clements! She was fabulous and made sure our event was amazing.

Food was passable, but staff is rude and will hassle your guests or potential clients. I'm looking at you, lady in the glasses!They catered an open house event for a housing community in Livermore that my friends and I attended. The catering staff did not post any signs nor inform us beforehand about any rules for getting the food, then rudely yelled at us when we tried to get more than 2 sliders. They did the same thing to many other guests as well, and we could tell everyone felt a bit shocked and offended by her attitude. How do we know we are breaking a rule if we don't even know such a rule exists? Don't yell at your customers for your lack of communication!As a result, we decided not to check out the sales office and find out more about the houses being sold, we just wanted to get out of there. There goes a potential customer!

I love Cabana Dave's! Dave catered our wedding back in 2007 and did a fabulous job. Tri tip, chicken breasts, egg rolls (my special request), salads and desserts and the staff was so friendly and efficient!Cabana Dave's used to operate as a restaurant on Main Street in Pleasanton about 8 years ago but now strictly focuses on catering. They even cater for the Raiders and 49ers!Dave's food has a Carribean influence and is so tasty. Look for him at First Wednesdays in Pleasanton. Just saw him there last night and he gave me and my hubby free food (tri tip sandwich and ribs, respectively) just because he remembered us. Gotta love that!

3 1/2 stars for Cabana Dave's. Tonight's Moveable Feast was our first exposure to Cabana Dave's truck. Our group tried the jerk chicken wrap, baby-back ribs, and sweet potato fries. The rib meat fell off the bone, just like good ribs should, and I liked strong ginger component to their sauce. Unlike a review I read here on Yelp, my container was full of crisp, tender sweet potato fries. I had to add my own salt, but that's okay. The person who got the wrap liked the fact that it was in a tomato tortilla, and he enjoyed the fact that it had plantains inside. He said it was flavorful, although a little on the mild-side for his taste. We'll have to give Cabana Dave another try to see if that 3 1/2 stars can get bumped up.

We just hosted a social distancing event and had Cabana Dave's cater a Bbq theme menu. The food was delicious and we received many compliments on the food. The servers were great and wore PPE the entire time from set up, service and clean up. Roni was extremely easy to work with and was very helpful and friendly throughout the quote and booking process. I will definitely use them again!

We hired Cabana Dave for our wedding! Dave and his staff did an amazing job!Everything on the day of our wedding went so smooth. From set up to tear down. We used Dave's food truck as a surprise for our guests. They loved it and everyone raved about the amazing food. I highly recommend Cabana Dave's for any event you are throwing. His staff is very professional and everything was extremely affordable compared to many other caterers out there.

We used Cabana Dave's to cater a 90th birthday party (for 70 ppl) and they were fantastic! Because I have not planned many parties this size, Roni was able to suggest menu items send us a few sample menus to choose from. From there she worked with pretty much any request we had. The day of the party, there were two staff members to set up, serve and take down the entire lunch buffet. They were in contact with us the entire time making sure things were being run smoothly and on time. We went a southern menu, the food was excellent, the staff was very easy to work with. I highly recommend using Cabana Daves!

I can't thank the staff enough for the incredible job they did for a group of 100 at Hagemann Park on May 19th. The food was amazing! We had the sliders, and they were easy to eat in a park setting, as well as delicious! They even had Mushroom Sliders for the vegetarians in our group. They set up quickly, the hot food stayed hot and the salads stayed cool. I got many compliments on both the food, and the way it was prepared and served. The potato salad, Cole slaw and beans were a great complement to the sliders. They even had horseradish for the tri-tip! If you are looking to cater an event for a good size group, I would highly recommend Cabana Dave's!
