"Absolutely most delicious food!! We were traveling from Florida by car and found this place on google and gave it a try!I ordered pork chop over white rice and my husband ordered a pho (combination pho) both dishes were soo good we almost ordered an other portion!Lots of people were eating at the restaurant and we can see why!And the cherry on top was they brought two delicious coconut and coffee taste candies with the receipt! We will definitely stop by on the way back home!"
"Just like its name, the food here is absolutely amazing! This place is super close to my home, and I've passed by so many times without trying it, now I wish I had known sooner just how incredible it is. Everything we ordered was delicious! The portions are huge, so depending on your appetite, one dish can easily be shared between two people. We had the house-made garlic bread, and wow, even Italian restaurants could take notes from this place! We also tried the vegetable laksa noodle soup, chicken lemongrass noodle soup, Thai Massaman fried chicken with rice, and Massaman shrimp with rice, all absolutely fantastic. For drinks, we ordered a round of boba drinks, and I loved the crème brûlée one! Mine was super sweet since I ordered it at 100% sugar, but I'd definitely recommend cutting it to 50% for a perfect balance. The staff was polite, the ambiance was cozy, and just a heads-up, come early because the wait times can be long. Highly recommend this spot, and I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!"

"The food was amazing! The owner and staff were super friendly. We had the grilled pork and shrimp vermicelli bowl which was our favorite. We also got the shake beef and the soup. We all cleaned our plates and will be back soon."
"Love this place. Never had a dish I didn't like. It's always bustling but I live near by so I take it to go. Staff is great."
"This place was great!!! The service was super fast! They were very kind. The food was flavorful! I had my doubts but they did not disappoint! It's a great place to come by before or after six flags. The bean dream was authentic. I really enjoyed the Honeywell drink was perfect to me. It wasn't overly drink, it didn't taste like powder. The place is cute, nothing fancy but cute!"
"I love this place!! my goto spot in willow glen area-- Best viet restaurant in the area ! Esp if you don't want to drive all the way to Tully/ story / grand century area !! All the dishes I've tried here have been good !! - Bun Bo hue : 10/10** spicy anddddddd really good . On par with an nam and bun Bo hue spot near grand century - Com Bo luc lac with garlic tomato rice : 10/10* sooooo goooood. Medium rare steak with garlic tomato rice and fish sauce - Pho : 10/10 * I have tried the pho yet but my friends and family said it's good Service : 10/10* quick , attentive, easy goingDecor: clean and modern ; not the typical viet restaurant. They even decorated for the holidays ( Halloween and Xmas ) super cute Would come back ( which I have multiple times already )"
"I came here with my mom, SO, and baby. As soon as we walked in, an employee asked if we wanted to sit in the corner furthest from the door "to keep baby warm" from the draft of the front door. I thought that was really nice of them to think about that cause I didn't!Now onto the important part--the pho! We all ordered different pho's and we all enjoyed it. Did we think it was the best pho ever? No. But it definitely satisfied our pho cravings. I did feel insanely thirsty after the meal but it was worth it. My mom says that their regular bowl of pho is a dollar cheaper at their other location lol They give you a huge plate of veggies, which I feel is rare these days. We got a few orders of com tam for the road and although it didn't look like much at first glance, the portions were great! I would definitely order again. One of the employees was taking their lunch break at a table next to us and despite her being on break, she still helped us when my mom kept asking her questions. (facepalm) Sorry to that employee!Don't forget-- it's cash only!"
"I never want to go dine in for Vietnamese hot pot because my family makes it all the time, but my partner kept raving about it; so I had to try it. The name of this restaurant literally translates to "seafood hot", but they also serve different types of hot pots and Vietnamese dishes.Coconut sea snails (5/5): This is the perfect appetizer. It was very sweet creamy and succulent. Probably one of the best I've ever had.Seafood hotpot (5/5): i had to get this dish the restaurant is named after. It came with shrimp, squid, scallop, tofu, fish ball, clams, mussels , and other. Love the variety of seafood. It was very plentiful and the broth was the perfect sweet and sour. This place definitely blew my mind."
"Garlic noodles are amazingAmbiance is small and a bit congested Service is good family owned. Cleanliness an area of opportunity ."
"If there's one thing I know, it's that San Jose in the state of California has thee best pho - without a doubt. Knowing that the Vietnamese community is so strong here - Their soup has be cooking none stop for that deep broth that a lot of other places strive for but within a shorter cooking time. This place, the ambiance is golden. Beautifully picturesque, clean, spacious, and organized - we absolutely knew we were in for a whole 'nother experience that what we've been privy to. When we first got there, the staff was super nice and was able to seat us as soon as we walked in the door. The servers were especially patient with us as we needed some time to look over the menu (we did not know about the hype) and was able to order the San Jose Bowl with additional bone marrow and ribs, Cowboy Pho with side of boneless ribs, and a few drinks. I did not know that the additional ribs would be so huge! I thought that they brought us both orders of ribs and mistakenly forgot about the boneless ribs but when they came back with the boneless ribs I was shocked at how much food I had ordered! The bone marrow. WOW. That gave the soup another level of texture! Let's not forget about the broth, so deep and flavorful. Don't even dare drench that bowl of soup with sauces until you taste the soup. I can't stop thinking about this soup. It was rememberable!"
"I come here at least once a month. I crave their "beef in aromatic lot leaf" and imperial beef sausage - the sauce is to die for. This place is such a treasure, it reminds me of Anh Hoang in Milpitas but less crowded. Things I get:Beef in aromatic lot leaf: 10/10 meat is so flavorful and it's served with veggies to wrap them. Then you can't forget the sauce Imperial beef sausage: 11/10 same as aboveBanh xeo: 7.5/10 sometimes it's perfect sometimes it's a little too stuffed with filling but overall really good. Crispy and full of deliciousnessRoasted catfish: 8/10 I've had this a few times and it's so good sometimes are better than others. I would def try if you've never had it before it comes with veggies that you wrap the fish in and dip There are lots of other things that are great here (like the rice dishes). But I would say those are my favorites."
"I've been going to the restaurant for years!!! Their chewy Hu Tieu will not disappoint. It still tastes like the first time I've tried this delish bowl of noodles over 20+ years ago. Come and support them. Owner told me they have homeless people asking for food each night otherwise they would smash his windows and of course the police wont't do anything about it so come support them. They need our help and support to keep going."

Huong Tra is the spot for delicious Vietnamese food. They have been around for forever and expanded a few years ago. They have amazing food that is consistently good. They are always busy and also have a booming takeout business. I always order their fried shrimp which comes with sautéed ginger, onions and jalapenos. It's so crispy, salty and delicious.

Delicious food in a pretty, charming restaurant. Dropped by on a Sunday afternoon with my brother and we were seated right away. The place wasn't too packed but there were a number of parties already seated. The menu is pretty extensive, so be prepared to be perusing for a while. I went with the Thai massaman curry with grilled beef ($16.50), the black pepper garlic noodles ($12.00), and the twins berry jasmine boba ($6.00). Everything had to be ordered via QR code, which I am absolutely tired of.Another knock against this place: the service. While the food came out in a decent amount of time, the drinks were unacceptably slow. I was already halfway through my meal before they came to the table, and I'd already asked for them twice. When the waitress brought my entrees, I asked if I could add a Coke to my order. She said no problem. And then the waiting game began for reasons I can't explain. They were at least apologetic when they finally arrived because they recognized the wait was significant, but I got no explanation for why it took so long.Service in general was super transactional, likely due to the QR system where the waitresses are reduced to just dropping your food in front of you and disappearing. That's not an excuse for not coming around to check on guests and ask if they need anything, which wasn't happening at all anywhere in the restaurant. They didn't seem busy to the point where this wasn't a reasonable expectation. The food was worth it though. The curry was rich and flavorful, the beef was tender with that delicious grill char, and the garlic noodles had a great peppery taste and weren't too overwhelmingly garlicky. I just wish they'd used regular potatoes in the curry instead of the sweet potatoes, which were too sweet and too soft and didn't seem like a good pairing with this dish. The boba was a generous size and was just so good. Not too sweet, great berry mix, and the boba had a good chew.I'd actually be ok with coming back here again because the food and boba were genuinely memorable and there's much more on the menu I'd like to try. But next time, my expectations surrounding service will be much lower.

My friends and I came here for dinner on a Friday evening. Parking in this plaza is pretty tight. We luckily found parking, but I can see the lot being completely full during busy times. Food:This restaurant has vegetarian versions of many common com tam plates, which was very exciting for me. I ordered the vegetarian com tam combo plate and the vegetarian nem nuong rolls. Both items came with vegetarian sauces made with veggie fish sauce. They were both great. My friends ordered the main combo plate and enjoyed their food. Service:Service was quick. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Our food came promptly after ordering. TL;DR - Give me all the vegetarian com tam

Tried a few dishes from here. We ordered the banh cuon rolls (steam rice rolls), rice plate (broken rice special), and the bun rieu. Everything was good but the bun rieu for me lacked a bit of flavor. Overall enjoyed and may order other items next time. We ordered to go through doordash but I hear the ambiance inside is nice. I will say it is more of an elevated viet restaurant so it is a bit pricier than your usual viet restaurants.

Stopped by Pho 1 to satisfy my Vietnamese food cravings, and it hit the spot! I ordered the spring rolls, beef stew, chicken pho, and a classic Vietnamese coffee. The spring rolls were fresh and tasty, just what I was hoping for. The beef stew was flavorful, though I did find the broth a bit thin for my taste. However, both the beef stew and the chicken pho had a good amount of noodles and plenty of protein, so I left feeling full and satisfied. And the Vietnamese coffee? Perfectly strong and sweet, just how it should be!Overall, a solid spot for Vietnamese comfort food. Would definitely go back to try other dishes on the menu. Service was solid and the interior is up to date

This is now my favorite place to go for Pho. I ordered the combination and there's a substantial amount if meat in it. Good food, fast service, and glad to find it in my neighborhood. Would try their other selections next time.

The only pho place I've been to that has ngo gai (culantro). They give a lot of veggies. Came with my mom and bf and we all enjoyed our pho. Viet moms are picky iykyk lol and my mom liked it so def will put on my return list. Flavor, portion sizes and price were right. Service was quick. Laid back ambiance. Will be back if I'm back in SJ and craving pho again or to try their other dishes. Also cash only!

Great food, friendly service, generous portions for price value! Located in a small plaza with a dedicated parking lot, this is a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant with cozy interior. Service was very quick and efficient, and they helped us with the menu and checked on us throughout our meal. It was clear we've never been here before so they told us how to best eat the dishes when they arrived! Banh Khot: I was so hungry and devoured it before I could take a picture lol. They're mini shrimp pancakes that come in a crispy shell. Came with plenty of fresh vegetables to wrap the banh khot in and the fish sauce was great with it! Very fresh and flavorful, huge portions too. Get this!Spicy Thai Seafood hotpot (small): comes with vegetables and your pick of rice noodle/egg noodle/rice. There was a great assortment of fresh seafood, and the broth was not too spicy, just enough of a kick with a hearty Tom yum flavor. It was super filling too. Highly recommend! I'll definitely be back!

"We love this local Vietnamese restaurant!Service is very fast and clean.I love the variety in Vietnamese soup dishes since there's so much more to explore other than pho but the pho is also so good here!!10/10 would recommend"
"When the weather is cold outside, pho play is my go to for pho. When it's warm outside bao buns is a go to..."
"We catered Che-Lo for our holiday party and it was a hit! I placed my order in person, and the owner and daughter were super helpful in providing recommendations to accommodate my needs. We ended up ordering 2 types of banh mi (cut in half and lightly wrapped in parchment paper), a tray of shrimp spring rolls and 2 types of tea. Since I wanted the drinks in a large serving container (instead of individual boba style cups), they offered to lend me their own pitchers which worked out perfectly for our party.10/10 would recommend and will easily choose them again to cater our next party!"
"We just had a family dinner and the reviews we're on spotFood is very tasty, portions were generous and the prices very reasonable Definitely will come back!"
"The Pho broth was quite yummy and the Bahn Mi was fresh and tasty. Our food came out quite quickly and the seating area was quiet and had good atmosphere. We loved the lighting and the indoor/outdoor vibes."
"First time here, celebrating my sister's birthday and it was like we were kicking it at a friend's house! I was able to make a reservation one day in advance for 7 people during peak dinner hours, and even called the same day to change our time with no issues whatsoever. They accommodated us right away and sat us even without my whole party present. Someone had called out, but we never even felt like service was slow or anything. This is a family owned and operated business, and we really felt like we were a part of that. Granted, we had quite a few shots, so alcohol tends to loosen up people but even without that, the whole staff were cool as heck. The food was delicious. Calamari (forgot to take a pic) was light and crunchy, served with cocktail and tartar sauces. The garlic noodles were super flavorful and stayed buttery. Some places tend to dry out and clump up, but not these! The seafood boils also had tons of flavor and spice. Medium was about as much as I could handle. Lol I think my absolute favorite dish was the Player's Plate. It comes with garlic noodles, 5 Tony's wings, 5 prawns and a huge catfish filet. Best bang for your buck, in my opinion. I would get that next time we go. And a special surprise was Tony's Style (Berkeley) was in the building. They were temporarily operating out of the space, so we had to get the shrimp and crab baguette. All that cheesy seafood goodness went perfect with our shots. LololNeedless to say, we took home lots of leftovers. We had a blast, and I hope yall have a great experience too."
"Truly one of the best pho bowls I've ever had. After reading all the yelp reviews I decided on the rare beef bowl (which I never get, always pho ga for me) and it absolutely lives up to hype. The broth is full of a complexity of flavors, and the delicately sliced beef has the perfect chew. I'd suggest opting for the XL bowl if you're only getting one meat, I definitely wanted 2x the amount of beef. But the price point is fantastic for how incredible the food is, so order away! Can't wait to return and try the rest of their pho."
"I ordered online and picked up pho with rare beef and tendon. Good pho and the beef and tendon were very good. The broth was average. Overall, a good local pho source. Service was good and took less than 5 minutes to get once I arrived (a bit early!)"
"One of the best restaurants in the Bay Area. The Berkeley location just hits different! When we walked in I saw Ms. Vanessa and her daughter sitting down, having a meal before the dinner rush. Ms. Vanessa dressed to impress and a glass of wine (how you will find her anytime she's at either location). We had the pleasure to have Ms. Vanessa and her daughter chef it up for us on our Saturday date. We arrived during Saturday happy hour! The food was amazing, the ambiance was elegant, drinks strong (forgot to photograph the drinks), and hospitality 100%. The food is always flavorful and well plated. This is a true gem! Thank you for the delicious food and wonderful food experience. I love Vanessa's Bistro"
"This restaurant is quite unique in what they offer and quite an experience. My group and I tried the 7 types of beef meal set and it was quite experiential. The cost is per person for this is about $38 before tax/tip. Each dish that came was unique. The hotpot part was delicious. The whole meal is taking the different forms of beef and wrapping it in rice paper and adding some vegetables to it. It's refreshing. It is quite a lot of food. Having the porridge to end the meal was refreshing and calming. Definitely would recommend this for groups and for trying new experiences."
"My husband and I first tried Le Soleil a couple years ago, when we stopped in for dinner one evening. We remember the meal being good and the service being fine (though we can't remember many details about it), but just never really made the effort to come back even though it's within walking distance from our home. This afternoon, he wanted to try the banh mi here after walking by and seeing the new banner advertising that they have them. He walked over and brought them home for lunch. I got the grilled chicken and he got the combo. I was surprised by how big they were as soon as he took them out of the bag. We've eaten a lot of banh mi in Oakland and San Leandro and these were definitely some of the most generous we've eaten. The bread was perfect. Crispy, crunchy, but soft on the inside. They put a good amount of grilled chicken in mine; in fact, the entire sandwich was stuffed from end to end with meat, cucumbers, carrots, jalapeños, and cilantro. It was fantastic. But be warned: the jalapeños packed a legit punch. My husband really liked his sandwich and said he had nothing to complain about. These were cheap, too, something like $8.75 for mine and $11 and some change for my husband's. We'll probably never see the banh mi of the good old days when they were a few bucks and the Bay Area was still cool, but these at least weren't three times the price and half the size. Le Soleil may become one of our lunchtime staples now."
"This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in all of the Bay Area, amazing value, generous portions, delicious taste. Perfect little no frills hole in the wall.Clear soup accompanying the chicken rice dish- 5/5 I don't know what it was but I could get drink this all day everyday. Probably great for weight loss!Lemongrass chicken- 4/5 slightly powerful lemongrass flavorCurry chicken- 4.5/5 yummy, slightly sweetChicken pho- 4.5/5 yummyBeef pho- 4.5/5 yummyThe rice items come with salad and a yellow ginger dressing which can make any veggie delicious. They should sell it by the bottle. Want to return to try all the other items!"
"This place deserves way more than a 3.7 star rating on Yelp, imo. It's some of the best Vietnamese food in Milpitas and arguably in the surrounding area. I grew up with a Vietnamese heritage and it's hard to find a place that has good quality to portion to price and tastes authentic. It's also consistent. I usually order pick up and it's fast. My usual go to's are the egg rolls, spring rolls, white meat chicken pho and I get fresh rice noodles when I'm feeling sick (easily 2 meals), or combo vermicelli. The beef pho is also good and usually recommend eating in store for that. Not many places have good chicken pho and it's usually hard to decide what to order since everything is bomb! The portions and packaging including the veggie sides are well packaged and they give a lot compared to other Vietnamese spots (ex: Tay Ho in Santa Clara portions are terrible and similar price). Most of the entrees I feel like could be 2 meals even the vermicelli I have a hard time eating it all one sitting (at least when I get orders to go). Staff are also nice when entering and picking food up. My main wish is they could be open later and have a day off other than Tuesday!"
"Was in the area and in the hunt of a good matcha latte.Saw this on Yelp and had pretty good reviews, I decided to give it a try. It's packed inside and a good amount of people studying / chit chatting. I got the iced white matcha latte (less sweetened) and it was really good! Not too matcha overpowering but just the right amount. I also got the ube coffee, that one was pretty good as well.I would rate :matcha latte: 7.5/10 - was pretty solid but not super great and amazing.ube coffee: 8/10 - the ube was sooo good with the coffee / very nice blend."
"There aren't many viet places around union city that accept card so I'm glad to know this is one of them. We ordered some pho bowls, a pork rice plate, and beef patty spring roll to go. Our favorite item ended up being the beef patty spring roll. Very fresh with a fried middle, tasty beef patty and yummy veggies dipped in their yellow sauce. So good! Soup and rice plate were solid, but will definitely dine in next time to enjoy it hot. Pretty cozy inside and saw a few others having dinner. Kind service and only took 15 minutes to pick up."
"Food is good service is good. But $7.00 for iced coffee.. its already premade. They just pour it in a cup for you. Seems high. I guess thats how it goes now, everything expensive. The premade sticky rice with chicken and sausage was tasty and pretty cheap still. Smaller portion and no wait time."
"4-ish stars but I'm gonna round up because service was pretty friendly. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the BBQ pork in my banh mi. Although flavorful the exterior of the meat slices were old-crusty, almost jerky-like. The banh mi bread was a bit different than what I'm used to. Really dense and hearty.....reminded me of sourdough but without the tang. At first I wasn't really on board of it not having a crisp but it grew on me after a couple of bites because of how springy-spongy it was.Favorite part of the sandwich was the pickled veggies! Yeah, they matter to me a lot in banh mi and I think this was the best rendition of the veggies that I've had. Veggies were cut more thickly and were perfectly pickle-y and al dente. No skimpy portion of them either!I also had the Vietnamese iced coffee. Smooth and actually pretty strong for a Vietnamese coffee. Minimal cream used here, which I didn't mind at all since I generally like the Vietnamese coffee brew taste.Seems like a family-run business. Staff were thriving during the lunch rush. Several customers were unfamiliar with this type of food but staff were eager to answer any questions about it.Located in the outskirts of midtown where parking, although still on the street, is only time-limited (no hourly meter charge)."
"I've ordered from this restaurant a few times now, never disappointing and always filling. Usually get 2 + meals out of an order when ordering for myself. My favorite would be the ginger lemonade, tastes made from scratch or at least there seems to be a lot of fresh ginger soaked into it without a bunch of ginger tidbits floating around and getting in the way.Veggie broth has a good flavor and love getting a batch too good for my own noodles at home, so maybe I get 3 meals out of an order! Veggie egg rolls are good as well and come packed with lots of additional veggie sides, fantastic snack. Steamed broccoli and bok choy are great solo out added to a soup. The garlic noodles were probably my least favorite. There was a lot of added stuff to it which made it more like a garlic chow mein than a straight up garlic noodles to my taste buds. Wouldn't order that one again without changes. All in all there is something for everyone on the menu and you can get creative if you think ahead for a few meals as well or combine things in from your pantry!"
"Their combination pho without tripe (my go to) is so good!! The service is awesome and quick!"
"This was place was just ok for me.Cons - 1. No AC - so windows were open and flies were very present. HOT AS HELL INSIDE.2. Credit Card machine was broken so cash only.3. Parking lot very small.Pros -1. Good veggie options2. Lots of soup options3. Iced coffee - DELICIOUS N STRONGMiddle of the road -1. The food - it was just ok for me. Nothing stood out, really.I would return, but not in a big hurry"
"I used to frequent the older San Jose Tung Kee Noodle location as a kid and I've always loved their #1 combo rice stick noodle soup, freshly squeezed orange juice, and #30 fried taro cake. When my parents told me there was a 'new' tung kee noodle that opened relatively recently, I was excited to try it. The rice stick noodle soup is no longer as salty/msg-y (which I kind of liked)... now it's blander (probably so you can adjust the soup yourself if you so choose), so I add some of their housemade chili sauce to go with it (which is quite good actually!) This could've been hotter, but I like my soup pipping hot. My husband got the #2 spicy beef satay, but he liked mine better. It was quite good, though not spicy at all. This place is packed on the weekends when I went, but the food comes out pretty fast so the turnover is relatively quick. Loved the fried taro cake, it was so good! Fresh, piping hot, and massive portions for the price. The prices are extremely reasonable - soups were $12 ish and the taro cake was ~$12 as well. Freshly squeezed orange juice is very good and tart. A little pricey but juices usually are nowadays. A dollar or two more if you want no ice. Pay at the front with your table number when you're done. Would definitely come again for some comfort food."
"We came around 1:45pm on a Tuesday, and the place was empty so we didn't have to wait in line or anything. Service was good. Ambiance is fine. Parking might or might not be difficult to find depending on the day and time you come. For the food, I tried the Crispy Oyster Mushroom and the Shaken Beef. They were both pretty good. I don't like mushroom, but I kept eating their crispy oyster mushroom. It really doesn't taste like mushroom. Overall, pretty good. I will probably come here again."
"I can't believe I have not yet left a review for Viet Noms. My family & I have been regulars since 2021. On average, we eat here once a week. The food is consistently delicious (especially the spring rolls) and the staff is friendly and welcoming. In particular, Yuri (sp?) who goes out of her way to prepare my son's rice plate to his liking. I find that they are really good at following special instructions such as removing cilantro and green onions from the dish. In addition, the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. In the 3+ years I've been coming here, I have never had a bad meal or dining experience. Highly recommend!"
