"A great option for pho in the area! I've ordered from Pho Seven on door dash and in person a few times and have enjoyed it every time. The soups are always so fresh and flavorful. Most recently, I ordered their garlic noodles with grilled chicken and it was delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked and there was a generous portion of chicken that went with it. It does feel like its on the greasier end and I wouldn't mind a little more garlic on the noodles, but that's just my personal preference. I also always order their fresh coconut juice and it's great every time. Whether order in the restaurant or online, the food is prepared pretty quickly so you never have to wait a very long time.There is plenty of parking here in the plaza but just a heads up - it's a tight fit right in front of the restaurant! It's two lane traffic, but to be honest, it's probably a better fit for just one way. We usually park at the end of the plaza by the laundromat/chinese restaurant and just walk down the sidewalk to avoid the crazy parking right up front."

"I think this is the best banh mi place in Berkeley in my opinion. It has the airy and crunchy baguette with appropriate amount of fill of protein and vegetables. I'm surprised they add some spicy jalapeño slices! Perfect for my taste and brings me some nostalgia but it isn't for everyone. I don't make any adjustments to banh mi orders except maybe add an fried egg once a while.At less than $10 a sandwich it's a good size and overall tasty. I've tried about 5 different sandwiches and my favorite is the lemongrass pork. It has a bit of patte and seasoned pork. I usually order ahead (I usually buy 5+ sandwiches for the week) and pick up was normal and easy."

"I finally got to check out Pho This Way recently and it was a really great experience. The staff was very warm and inviting and was eager to serve my friend and I. We ordered the net egg rolls, crispy chicken with stir fried noodles and also the crispy fried noodles with beef. Everything was so good especially the egg rolls. Not a lot of places make egg rolls like this. I highly recommend it!The server noticed that my friend and I were sharing food and he came up to us and offered extra plates and also extra utensils. That was very observant and nice of him. What's funny is that the restaurant was playing AI generated songs about the restaurant which was really cute. Definitely a great spot for Vietnamese food in Vietnam Town that's simple yet flavorful."

"So we are back. This place changed hands a couple of years ago and went more Vietnamese cuisine while still keeping some of the best of Quinn's menu selections from before. Also had popcorn shrimp which with the accompanied rabbit food was excellent. Still a 5 in my book."

"My favorite chicken egg noodle soup place, ever! If you know me, chicken is NOT my preferred protein, however, Hai Nam has successfully got me craving their noodles after my first visit here. This is a cute mom-and-pop restaurant, with generous portions and great service. I usually get the dry roasted chicken egg noodles, which come with soup on the side. Being the Americanized Asian I am, I always request my chicken to be deboned. It comes with a small side of kimchi, and dipping sauce. I love how many chives they include in the soup and noodles. Lastly, I can never finish my portion and always request a side of broth for me to go home and finish later. Highly recommend in the area."

"I can't believe I'm saying this but....Cay banh mi might just have beat Duc Huong's!My husband and I stumbled upon Cay cafe while hanging out in Fremont. From their Yelp they had fairly new ratings and so we decided to try it. And let me tell you.....it's was fabulous! Their bread was freshly baked and so perfect. It had a crispy crust and soft filling. We ordered the combination cold cut and the grilled pork sandwich. I just can't believe how different their bread, pate and meats tasted verse other Vietnamese sanwhich shops. It was supreme! Their pate/butter/cold cuts/bread was better than duc huong and it tasted more fresh. Even their pickled veggies which I don't like (I enjoyed here)!We've had our fair share of banh mi's at many local spots and other states. But I'm so glad we found Cay Cafe! It's a 10/10 for us!"

"I found this hidden gem on a Yelp search for Vietnamese food in town and I am glad I did! 5 stars for sure. We ordered the fried egg rolls and when they came the server explained that you wrap them in the lettuce and dip them so you can eat them while they are hot and crunchy. We ordered a thai iced tea, bahn mi with marinated pork and the pork combo vermicelli. I haven't had a noodle bowl before as I typically order pho so the server explained that you pour the sauce all over and mix it up. It was so good! I had a bite of my partners bahn mi, and it was even more flavorful than my bowl. My partner said that will be his go to sandwich spot now, since the sandwich was huge, the bun was the softest ever and it was so flavorful. We would rather support local mom and pop places than chains anyway. Highly recommend, we will be back."

"I don't explore Vallejo often. So enroute back home, we decided 75 degrees was a cold enough excuse to get some pho and let me tell you, Pho Vallejo is where it's at! Located in a Gateway Plaza, this is a great central location to have a great shopping day paired with a delicious meal. There is a ton of parking, Target, Costco, and Ulta near by. I could really spend all day around here. We stopped by on Sunday around 3 pm. This restaurant is pretty large as it has a whole separate dining area, has a covered outdoor patio vibe but it's indoors. We ordered spring rolls, a large flank & meatball pho, and bbq chicken plate with shrimp cakes. Everything was so flavorful! Takeaway highlights: shrimp cakes are unique and must try! Pho is damn near perfect and a large for $14, can't beat the price. Peanut sauce was a tad too sweet. Service was super sweet and very fast. I really wish they carried coke products, that was the only thing missing! lol"

When ordering it was nice that they confirmed we were going to "NEW" Pho Saigon as there is a Pho Saigon very nearby.Parking was relatively easy and we found a spot in front of the place.It was quick to get the food as we called in before picking up.We got #85. Bún Tôm Thịt Nướng Chả Giò / 燒蝦豬肉炸春捲檬 / Marinated Shrimp, Grilled Pork, Egg Roll with Vermicelli. I was assuming that the grilled pork would be lemongrass flavored but I don't think it was. It looked more red than your usual grilled pork which kind of remined me of tocino which is a marinated pork in filipino cuisine.Everything was fairly standard but unfortunately something in the dish made me a bit nauseated which was a bummer. No fault to the place as I have a few food intolerances and it's always a gamble when eating.Overall, I think it was okay. Service was good in terms of ordering and pick up. Food was okay. So I think for now "okay" is a good way to describe this spot. I'll have to try more from the menu and re-review in the future. Definitely take a look and try them out for yourself!"

A hair sticking out between the meat and pickled daikon. It looked to be only a half-inch, but as I tugged on it, it was like the Energizer Bunny and kept going and going. Around 8-9 inches when all was said and done!! I guess I should be thankful it wasn't short & curly and I have to admit that it had a nice body wave and some highlights, but really wasn't my type. Hey, at least I got to enjoy half a reasonably tasty sandwich before deciding to break things off. Good luck Thanh Thuy. Really dense and hearty.....reminded me of sourdough but without the tang. At first I wasn't really on board of it not having a crisp but it grew on me after a couple of bites because of how springy-spongy it was.Favorite part of the sandwich was the pickled veggies! Yeah, they matter to me a lot in banh mi and I think this was the best rendition of the veggies that I've had. Veggies were cut more thickly and were perfectly pickle-y and al dente. Soup was piping hot which is a necessity when it comes to pho. You can tell the noodles are al dente But if you wait the noodles become nice and soft. The fried wontons were pretty good and come with a sweet chili sauce. There's plenty of tables when you walk in and you are greeted immediately to sit down. "I came here with my mom, SO, and baby. As soon as we walked in, an employee asked if we wanted to sit in the corner furthest from the door "to keep baby warm" from the draft of the front door. Did we think it was the best pho ever? No. But it definitely satisfied our pho cravings. I did feel insanely thirsty after the meal but it was worth it. Has a large parking lot where you can watch your car and a trailer encampment along 7th street thru the large plate glass windows. Ladies of the night two blocks away trying to survive the tough streets of East Oakland.The remodeled Kevin's opened in early 2024. The interior is bright and beautiful juxtaposed against the blight of the adjacent streets. Kevin closes at 7pm so you can eat and get out of the area early.The Pho's are still tasty with a good soup base, I like the Large number 1 of brisket, flank, tendon, and tripe. The fried egg rolls are also decent although it has imitation crab meat as one of the ingredients.Good place to go if you're in a rush and looking for a bright clean establishment with a parking lot."
