"Amazing food, great staff, and an intimate setting make this a go to in the neighborhood. The Lao sausages, pumpkin curry, eggplant are all super delicious. Highly recommend."
"I will preface this review by saying that I lived in Thailand for several years and know how hard it is to find a Thai restaurant that serves authentic Thai food. This place comes as close as to it as I've ever found (along with one 'farmhouse' restaurant that is so rediculously overpriced that is FAR from worth it). I was introduced to this restaurant by someone who also lived in Thailand for many years. He insisted this was more authentic than any of the restaurants we discussed. I have to admit that when my partner and I tried it, I felt transported back in Thailand with some of the dishes we had. Keeping in mind that many Chinese and Thai restaurants customize their food for the American palette, I did ask the hostess/owner to a) not add bell peppers to the dishes we ordered, and b) make them in the real Thai style - spice and all.Our favorite dishes are the Po Taek (seafood) soup (delicious!!!!), the spicy catfish, and the morning glory dish (when available).I recommend staying away from the non-Thai dishes like eggrolls/spring rolls or fried rice. They're just ok. We've been back many times since, trying out different items on the menu. Most have been wonderful, a few not so much."

"my family's been coming to World Wrapps for years, and I don't think I've ever left a review! If we're looking for a healthy takeout option, one of our favorites is the samurai salmon bowl, which is gluten-free, and my daughter and I we get it with half greens and half quinoa. We order online and pick up at the curb, and appreciate that convenience. It always looks clean when we go inside, even though we are just picking up our to go order.Check it out!"
"My parents love to dine in here. Solid spot for Thai food with consistent quality, great ambiance and friendly service. Best of all is they have Karaoke.."
"I love their vegetarian Cashew tofu plate, it is sooooo perfect and very flavorful. They have a lot of vegetarian variety on the menu too!!The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and there is plenty seating outdoors and indoors.Everyone is so kind, I think the elders are doing an amazing job in the kitchen, and I feel so grateful every time because they never miss ^ * ^"
"This was a really great Thai spot situated in the heart of Danville downtown. We went for a friend's birthday and they were able to accommodate a big group. The ambiance of the place is really nice and the staff were friendly. Our favorite thing was the lychee martinis they were packed with the alcohol punch, but yummy taste or lychee. We liked it so much we got a second one. Definitely recommend this refreshing drink! The food was pretty good, I really enjoyed my pad see ew dish. The egg roll appetizer was a nice touch with the sauce. Overall a good fancy Thai dining experience."
"I have ordered takeout 3 times. The first time they forgot utensils and straws for the thai tea. Second time everything was great. Third time the bbq chicken was soo dry and hard. Lunch combo is a great deal and worth it! You get a ton of food, 2 items, salad, soup and rice. The thai iced tea is 10/10Thai bbq chicken was perfectly juicy and floral the 2 out of the 3 times. 10/10 I ordered it every time. Yellow thai curry perfectly spicy and great balance of meat veggies and curry 10/10The cashew nut chicken- they fry the chicken and toss in the veggies. I would like to see more cashews and chicken 8/10Chicken satay- was a bit on the dry side.5/10Bbq pork- tasted juicy and flavorful but I found the portion size to be small 8/10Sticky rice- this is my must have at any thai restaurant 10/10Overall this has been a great thai restaurant. I look forward to my next visit and hope the problems I had were only a time issue."
"A true hole in the wall spot in Oakland. There's basically nothing else nearby, but Vientian was PACKED on a weekend lunch. I've never had Laos food before, so I was super excited to try Vientian with my Thai friend! We ordered Tom Saap, Fried Pork, Gang Nor Mai, Laos style Papaya Salad, Thai Iced Tea, and sticky rice. Everything was insanely flavorful and SPICY despite getting mild so beware! This was my first time trying Laos style papaya salad and it's definitely an acquired taste since it's very fishy. The prices are so affordable and portion sizes are good. I'd definitely come back to try other dishes!!"
"One of my favorites in Berkeley! I've only ordered to-go and did not regret my first dine-in experience.Food & Drink - 5/5- Great portions and affordable drinks (for Bay Area pricing)!- Pad Thai, Fresh Roll, Tom Kha (small)- Thai Iced Tea w/ Coconut Milk ($6) and Singha Thai Beer ($6)Vibe - 5/5- Impressed by the aesthetics (pink and purple flowers draping from the ceiling brought a calming effect)- Very clean restaurant!Customer Service - 5/5- Very kind server! (She did not judge me when I ordered all this for myself!)"
"This place has been on my radar for a bit now, finally got to try it and it was smackin! The portions are big here so it is great for large groups sharing. We ordered 4 dishes with 2 heads and it was def too much, but we wanted to try a few new things recommend by the super friendly server. Papaya salad, Lao sausage, pineapple friend rice and these stuffed tapioca balls (recommended). Everything was so bomb and the leftovers were still . Will for sure be back to try more dishes and bringing back up (more friends)"
"I've been wanting to try this spot for awhile and glad I finally got a chance. I came in on a Friday eve around 7. There is a shared lot for parking. The space is not huge; I grabbed a spot by the window and noticed there are a few outdoor tables as well.I ordered the fried oyster mushrooms as a starter and went with the fried catfish larb for my enteee. the waitress asked how spicy I wanted and I chose to go with mild. The mushrooms came with a dipping sauce. As far as alcohol there is beer and a few wines to choose from. Everything was good and service was attentive."
"So here's the thing, I haven't really tried curry before. So I'm not sure the difference between Thai vs Indian curry. However, the red chicken curry here was delectable. Yet another food my boyfriend has yet to try in his life and now loves lol. We ordered the cashew chicken also and we both thought it was super good! There was a DJ going ham on the mic at a nearby bar so unfortunately it was a bit noisy but we chose to sit outside. Their seats inside are very comfortable and is such a nice place for a date night. The staff is super friendly and nice as we were asking many questions on what to order. Thank you!"

Ok this place is WAYYY overdue for a review! What can I say... the food is fresh, the service is always pleasant and I've tried over 10+ dishes and almost every one has been spectacular. Only 1 appetizer I ever ordered I disliked, and that was one me because I'm not big on certain fish yet I ordered their pork and fish ball appetizer (I forget the name). My go to is a spicy chicken pumpkin curry with sticky rice. The portions are generous and I come here around once a month. Their mango sticky rice is a must!

This is a solid spot to go to when you want Thai food. A friend of mine recommended the garlic shrimp and I can't get enough of it! I've gone back a few times just for the shrimp dish. They have all the regular dishes.... Papaya salad, bbq items over items, yellow/red/green/pandang curry, etc.... Everything that I've tried is good. Not the best, but still good. They have live music on the weekends so it can get loud in there at times. It's typically not busy whenever I go so the service is pretty consistent. This is a good place to go when you want a low key, no frills, no fuss, solid dinner.

My go-to while I was in college for both value and quality! The staff is very straightforward but that's exactly what thrives in busy areas like south Berkeley. Cash payment is preferred but you can pay with card at the kiosks. Food comes out quick and is perfect for a late night dinner or in between class lunch with friends. Tons of drink options in this plaza as well so Thai Basil pairs great with your favorite boba shop!

I've never had a bad meal here, it is outstanding! Their noodle soups are usually what I go for, specifically their Yen Ta Fo & Tom Yum Noodle soup. Just incredible! Also get the soft shell crab appetizer, SO delicious!

This is a neighborhood restaurant. Looks like it was a garage converted to a small restaurant. This is a hole in the wall spot. Not in the best location in Oakland but their food is very good. Located at a corner and only has street parking. Tip: do not leave anything valuable in your car. Let's talk food! They have an extensive selections on the menu. I came for the Laos food. I looked at what others have and ask them what they ordered since this is my first time here. Jeow Bong (fermented dip) - salty but very flavorful. Must eat with sticky rice and/or veggies like cucumbers. This is my new fave dip!Kao Poon - very flavorful and delicious. There was a good amount of chicken but I wished there were more bamboo shoots. Nam Kao - this came with a plate of lettuces and fixings. I used it as a lettuce wrap. Lao sausage - mild spicy. It was good with sticky rice Angel wings - my least fave. It was too sweet and dried. It was like having candy chicken wings. Don't think I will order again. Overall, food was very good and would def come back again but skip the chicken wings.

"Excellent all around. The food was outstanding... our family of three loved it (including our toddler!). We ordered the pad Thai with chicken, the BBQ pork with sticky rice, and the praram with chicken. The place itself is adorable and so clean. It's situated on the corner with lots of opportunity to people watch. 5/5 stars for ambience. The service, wonderful! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The food came out fast. 5/5.The food was loaded with protein and flavor. The vegetables were fresh and everything tasted pretty clean. 5/5.Everything is well priced and it looks like they have great drink specials as well.We will be back!"
"first off, everyone here was so nice! definitely all around amazing service. as for the food, all of their dishes were seasoned so well. it hit the sweet, sour, & spicy notes that thai food typically has. i especially enjoyed their pad thai bc their noodles were perfectly chewy & soaked up the sauce so nicely without becoming all mushy overtime. the appetizer platter was so aesthetically pleasing & the perfect dish to share if you're coming with friends. it had all of the different appetizers they offer on their menu, so you get to try everything! i loved the trio of dipping sauces that was included.they definitely don't skimp out on their protein supplements here. just look at all the crab layered on top of our crab fried rice! all of their dishes can be made vegetarian, but you can also supplement with beef, chicken, or shrimp at a minimal cost. highly, highly recommend!"
"One of the best Thai meals I've had in a long while. And of all places in Vallejo! The surrounding area is typical of the aging downtown but don't be deterred in trying their food.I cannot rave enough about their garlic pepper calamari, Penang curry and Tom Kha Ga soup. So delicious - all the dishes left your taste buds wanting more but your tummy says no! I loved their garlic rice as well. When I visit this town next, I will definitely have another meal or take a to-go order back home over an hour away..."
"Not as good as before, but still decent. My pad Thai was missing the iconic (to me) pile of sugar as an optional add in. Also missing were peanuts. I can't remember if they used to also have dried radish but that was also not present. The texture of the noodles was still spot on and perfection. The flavor was light and not overly greasy like many other Thai places. I asked for no chicken so they were quite generous with shrimp and egg. The tofu was slightly not fresh, but this is very common at many Thai places. On a Tuesday at lunch they had 1 server taking care of about 5 tables- she was quite busy though competent. Finally, ambiance wise it's been years since they redecorated but the place is definitely nicer (and more like the new krung Thai down the street) and more comfortable to eat in. I used to say this krung Thai had better food but a longer wait. I'll have to try new krung Thai again (it's been a long time since we've gone) but I can no longer say the original krung Thai is the best in the South Bay :/."
"Thai food is one of those cuisines that I picked up later in life, after I had a great culinary experience in Hawaii at a nice restaurant. This place is located in the once bustling strip mall, but unfortunately, the area has suffered a similar fate as some other malls in the U.S. On this Friday evening, there was only one party dining in. Sad, because the food is actually pretty good.I had to order take out on this night. Did some yellow curry and chicken pad thai. I happen to click on sticky rice, and I would have been sorely disappointed if I didn't get the rice, because it seems as though the curry doesn't include rice. How crazy. No way you can be expected to eat curry without rice. Wish they just include it, or at least include some caveat on their ordering systems.Anyhoo, the curry was delicious. Mild and flavorful, with a nice hint of coconut. Plenty of mix-ins, it went perfect with the sticky rice I ordered. Totally would order this again, especially if you're averse to spicy foods. The paid thai was excellent as well, but I imagine it be even better when it was fresh off the wok. Nice flavor, fish sauce not overpowering like some places, and nice amount of mix ins to this as well.Totally coming back - come patronize this place, I hate seeing small businesses close due to lack of traffic."
"A friend who works in Emeryville told me about this place. We usually meet for lunches at Public Market and wanted to get something new into the rotation. What can I say? I really liked it. The place itself is colorful and vibrant, the service fast and friendly. The fellow diners looked like most of them were on their lunch break (it was noon). The menu is great, if you are a bit adventurous. It was a bit difficult to find something lower carb, so I just went with the pad See Ew haha. Low carb, low schmarb, right? The noodles had a very appealing flavor and the meat was quite juicy. The portion was on the smaller side, but more than enough for me (I know the husband would have bitched about it though...).My friend had a crazy milk toast tower with satey skewers stuck into it. It was filled with some kind of curry - a little sweet, a little spicy. I've never seen anything like it before. I think, I'll be back ;-)"
"This place doesn't need a rave review, but they've earned it. A true institution in Fremont, and now with three locations. This is the original, but was located in a lot that got bulldozed over and made into apartment complexes. It was a lot more cramped so this location has been a vast improvement. It's also nice that it's right off one of the roads closed off for the annual Arts & Wine Festival! This is also one of the few places where, if you can't get a table (and that does happen), the food is just as good if you take it to go and eat at home. Everything is delicious and there's something for every palette from adventurous to safe."
"This is a great neighborhood, sushi, Japanese, Thai restaurant. I like that they have a combo of different food, which makes it easy for the whole family to choose. With my mom being pescatarian and my husband, picky, healthy eater his place serves as well. The food is delicious and it's conveniently located next to Encinal market and Feel Good Bakery. Great place for a quick takeout."
"Oh wow, what a gem of a spot! The lunch special combo for just $20? *Chef's kiss* - it's a total steal. You get a boatload of food for that price, and it's all delicious. The portions? Don't even get me started. They're massive - you'll leave here full enough to take a nap for sure. Parking lot's a little cozy, but no worries - there's plenty of side street parking, so you're all good. I'll definitely be back for those tasty, budget-friendly meals. If you're looking for good food that won't break the bank, this is the place!"
"I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS PLACE. Every single thing I ate was perfectly balanced and delishhhh! The workers are super sweet. I love the decor of the place & it's in a good location on the main street. The fresh shrimp spring rolls were definitely fresh & crunchy. It's a great appetizer to go with a heavier entree with carbs because it's light & fresh. I had the Nam Khao which is the crispy rice with lettuce wraps. It has crispy rice, pork, carrot & peanuts. You load up your lettuce with all of these and it's a bite FULL of flavor. My friend had never had this dish before and she looooved it. If you're looking for Thai food in the area - look no further."
"This place is not like your traditional Thai restaurant. I really liked the menu options. There is a yelp waitlist that you can join virtually ahead of time. Coming to the ambience, the restaurant itself is small but cozy. We had the Tom yum soup, hot mama and a pork starter. All were really good. The dessert was really good too. Overall a nice dining experience!"
"This is my favorite Thai restaurant. Their nam kao is perfection as is their kao soy and kao poon. I am also a fan of their beef noodle soup."
"My friend and I stopped by for dinner on a Wednesday night and we were surprised at how packed it was in the restaurant! We were seated immediately and ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken and green curry. Both were delicious and portion sizes were huge! We were able to bring home leftovers. We also ordered mango sticky rice as dessert - it was perfectly made and the mango was so fresh! The -1 star comes from the service when paying - when we were paying on the iPad at the end of our meal, the waitress wouldn't let go of the iPad for us to select tip. She then tried to select a tip option for us. We didn't appreciate that and would've preferred if she set the iPad down or handed it to us to finish payment, instead of gripping onto it. Other than that, the meal was great and the food was delicious!"
"I thought I wrote a review for this place but I guess it did not save? This happened more than a few times already. Summary: I'd come back again. Food is good, service is great (I keep forgetting her name, but she's petite young female who's always at the cashier and also getting orders and also serving ). Food: Pla Rad Prik #13. The fish I ordered was salty but if you eat it with rice, the saltiness is balanced out. Oh btw, rice is sold separately so I would say the price here is on the higher side. The veggies on the fish dish were fresh, I could taste its sweetness. The fish was cooked to perfection, not dry, just flaky and moist. The second time I came here, I ordered the Khao Soy. It was ok. I would order if it again I have other choices. It was lacking some flavor, could not pin point what it was. The portion is also on the smaller side. I'm used to getting a giant bowl of this soup. Though the bowl is on the smaller side you get a lot of noodles and decent meat. Parking: freeBathroom: cleanService: Superb! Like what I said, I know I wrote a review for this place and at that time, I still remember the name of that young lady. Unfortunately, now I can't remember, I can only describe her. She has the greatest customer service attitude I've seen. Always smiling, willing to serve, polite, approachable, checks on you just about the right frequency."
"Great local Thai spot! It's hard to find an affordable and flavorful Thai restaurant in this community. The food is good but a little pricey. The spot is in a busy shopping center so parking can be a challenge. The restaurant is small but never hard to get a spot to sit. We have Doordashed before so it helps not having to pick up.This was our first time eating in the restaurant. Super clean and nice furniture. They have both booth and chair seating. The waitress cleaned our chairs and table right before we were seated. So super clean!!!When we ordered they were prompt and listened carefully. Our appetizer came out fast, and on a robot. Half way into meal they asked if we wanted water. She gave us Fiji water instead of tap, nice touch. This restaurant has cute but trendy decor. It feels like an upscale but trendy place."
"It's been a while since I've been here and was looking forward to having Thai food. Was going to order the Emerald noodles, and then noticed the special menu which included an appetizer combo and fried chicken pad Thai. I should've checked photos, but instead asked the server what she recommended and she let me know that the fried chicken pad Thai was very popular. I was thinking more actual fried chicken or something like Korean fried chicken, instead, what I received was a huge Panko cutlet aka chicken Katsu. Unfortunately, I'm not the biggest chicken Katsu fan and didn't expect it at a Thai restaurant. I did try a couple pieces with the yummy peanut sauce, but it was still katsu. Ended up putting it to the side and took it home to the Hubbs. The pad Thai noodles were on the sweeter side, light on the bean sprouts - which I like and had lots of tofu. The red curry tofu & veggies was good and mildly spiced, however my sister from a different mother thought it was spicy. The appetizer combo came with two coconut shrimp, two veggie eggrolls, two Gyoza, two cream cheese wontons, and what tasted like two lumpia Shanghai. The appys weren't exactly Thai. They were served with a sweet chili sauce, a coconut mayo sauce, and a peanut sauce. What I ordered was more Thai fusion than actual Thai food, still good, but not what I was expecting."
"I went here for lunch on my way to a meeting in San Jose. I am not really too fond of the ambiance. It feels like an old cafeteria. Service was fast, and the lady that helped me was friendly, but nothing extra, just Mid. I am a bit disappointed about the food, the serving is too small for the price."
"I have eaten at many Thai restaurants, but this one has wonderful UMAMI!!!! We ordered: Tom Yum Soup, Chicken with Basil, Pad Thai, and Green Curry. This was my first time experiencing Tom Yum, the soup arrived in a container with a flame in the middle!! Kind of exciting!! The steam with hints of lemongrass and ginger were whirling around the pot!! My nose was happy with the wonderful smell from this soup!!! I ladled the soup into the bowls, observing the ingredients, chicken, mushroom, lemongrass, ginger. My first taste: mmmmm, lemongrass!!! Ginger!!!! Lemon or lime???? Yummy!!! My taste buds are very happy with the UMAMI!!! SCORE!!!!!! New favorite soup!!!Next to taste was the Basil Chicken, I asked for extra basil, I LOVE BASIL!!! I could tell I was going to enjoy this dish even before I tasted it!! The sauce was a dark sweet sauce, The basil and chicken seemed to dance together on the plate!!! DELICIOUS!!!!! I have had this same dish at other Thai Restaurants but not this tasty!!!!!! I could not stop serving myself this dish with steamed rice!!! I even thought about this dish after leaving the restaurant!!! The UMAMI flavor was filed in my brain as YUMMY MUST REPEAT THIS DISH!!!!These two dished were so loved by my taste buds they did not want to try the other dishes!! I pretty much only ate these two dishes!!!!!I want to return to Thai Village to try more items on their menu!!!! But I know which two dishes I will be ordering definitely!!!!!Sorry no photo of the yummy Tom Yum Soup"
"I had the most delightful brunch with friends and our kiddos at Peak! The pancakes were a total standout--fluffy, perfectly sweet, and absolutely delicious. The mango and sticky rice is a must-try, with the perfect balance of flavors that really took me back to Thailand. My friend couldn't stop raving about her Thai Tom Yum Reduction--it was bold, rich, and full of incredible flavor. The atmosphere at Peak is cute and cozy, making it the perfect spot for brunch. And I can't forget to mention the bottomless mimosas --such a great addition to an already amazing experience. Service was good, they were very busy and did their best to keep up. Definitely will be coming back for more - and want to do dinner there to focus on the Thai Dishes!"
"Came here on a Saturday night, plenty of parking and plenty of tables. Menu selections are great, tried Pok Pok Shrimps, Grandma pork belly, and Betong chicken. Food is delicious, but it's quite pricy - more expensive than restaurants in Downtown Livermore. Service is fine, but no one refills water for us. Decor is nice.P.S. They offer desserts from next door restaurant - Honey Bee Sweets Cafe, not sure if it's the same owner or a partnership."
"Food: authentic Thai, super delicious, abundant and affordable.Service: medium velocity but very kind and helpful. Ambiance: We had the food as take-out but it would have been alright to eat at the restaurant. There's a lot of space, even for waiting. The waiting area benches are hand carved and intricate, and the decorations in the restaurant are typical Thai, and not overly full. Just enough to remind you this this a specialty restaurant.Every time we come here on a Friday or so, it's pretty low on customers, which needs to change. It's so good, clean and pleasant to eat in, they deserve all the customers they can get."
"I had shrimpPad Thai and shrimp spring rolls. The spring rolls had too much lettuce and some didn't have any shrimp. But I enjoyed the ones containing shrimp and I liked the sauce that was served with it. I also enjoyed the pad Thai."
"Came in here with a lovely and warm greeting by the owner. Food is Amazing cooked and served if you are looking for Authentic Thai food here's the place you should give a try. 10/10 the best of the best Thai food ever !"
