"Tacos El Gordo in Oakland is a legit hotspot! Yeah, the area's a bit iffy, so park smart. The wait? Sometimes long, but totally worth it for those late-night cravings. Horchata's on point, and all the ingredients? Fresh as can be. Hits the spot every time. Solid 4 stars, no doubt. Keep it up!"
"I ordered this Torre de Tamarindo (seafood tower) and it was so amazing! It came with a side of crunchy tostadas and it was honestly an explosion of flavors and my mouth still waters just thinking of it. The ingredients were so fresh too. Their menu is exciting and I want to go back and try a dozen things more. Highly recommend!!!!"

"Wow! This is amazing. Great flavor and good enough to share for 2 people. This place is definitely my new favorite. Ordered via DoorDash. Highly recommended. Please support this local new gem! Received my order hot and fresh! Extra sauces and pita included."
"Thursday night at 9pm and it was very busy!! The food truck is in a very nice community street market type area. There are plenty of barrel top tables to stand at, and a couple other food trucks and vendors to check out. The atmosphere is very lively, lots of bright lights and festive music. We ordered fried chicken momos, chili chicken momos, and chicken hakka noodles. I preferred the fried chicken momos over the the chili momos mainly because the chili sauce had more salty flavor than spice I think? The noodles were very tasty, that had a nice char on them. If I go again, definitely getting noodles and fried momos!"
"Robot server was handsome Mohan was making sure we got all the menu correctly. Everything was explained well. Food was delicious. Great ambiance. Music would have been good. Will definitely go again."
"Best BBQ EVER! I drive from San Jose just for a plate! Never tried something that I didn't love! Fire food and imma be honest... The hospitality is unmatched! You literally walk in wanting some amazing BBQ that you can smell from your car- and walk out- FAMILY! I'm sorry but you don't get that anywhere these days! This whole establishment is amazing! You won't want to hurry up and leave.. You're gonna want to stay awhile and mingle with great conversation! Feel the difference it makes to eat at a family business vs a chain where the food is mid at best! I love the greens, brisket, ribs, catfish, etc. Everything is so delicious!"
"I think this place makes pretty good North Indian dishes - like chole bhature. The street snacks like dahi poori, papdi chaat, etc are good as well, but they lack a twist in taste, maybe if it could be a bit spicy, had some chaat masala then it'd taste even better. My pav bhaji tasted well, but next time I'd recommend adding some more chili to it, to up it another level. Similar with Dal Makhani and chole. The service is pretty slow but the staff is very nice. We had ordered one dish with no onion and no garlic and we found some onions in the dish so the staff was nice enough to even replace the bhature with chole instead of just chole. Next time I come I'd want to try their parathas with dal makhani."
""Visit Oakland" put out a list of the best taco trucks in Oakland and I am slowly making my way through the list. Last week I made a lunch stop at La Grana Fish. They are known for their queso-birria, although the real star of the show is a lightly battered baja fish taco, that is fried to a golden brown topped with thinly sliced cabbage, pico de gallo and an addictive chipotle crema. I also ordered the pineapple and spinach agua fresca to wash it all down. It was the perfect lunch meal. Seating is spacious with a laid-back brewery feel. It was a chilly fall day but the sun was out and I enjoyed sitting in the mostly empty patio. Staff was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed."
"Deliciousness heaven especially if you are a fan of Amritsari Kulcha n Cholay!!! Tried super Vada Pav which adds to overall deliciousness n experience. The service as usual is exceptional for a Food Truck. One of my favorites in the South Bay."
"Yum!! This food truck came to my local farmers market in Japantown. I got the TFIC Special Vada Pav and I devoured it. The schezwan flavor pairs perfectly with vada pav, and it gave it that delicious indo-chinese flavor that Indians know and love.Got it with some piling hot mumbai chai, also delicious. Washed down the vada pav nicely :)"
"This truck has the best carnitas I've ever had! Exactly the right level of frying to just get a tiny bit of crisp amongst the oil and fat.If only they stayed open past 7."
"Y'all were delicious at Autumn Lights festival on Saturday, and I appreciated seeing the family all working together. I had "Mixed on Rice" and it hit the spot. The chicken and lamb were both moist, tender, and flavorful. The lamb was a little more stewed than I was expecting, but it tasted good. The iceberg salad was plain but refreshing. The rice was spiced strongly - it tasted good and went great with the food, but once I'd finished the protein and lettuce I couldn't eat the rice by itself - it needed something blander to balance it out. Everything was generous portions -- My main regret was that I didn't get to try your falafel. But that's a good reason to come back, and I look forward to seeing you again. Keep up the good work!"

I almost cried while eating these tacos. I might have also been drunk, but that's not the point. We ordered four super tacos - al pastor and asada. We waited quite a bit for our food, but it was pretty busy at 2am with a steady flow of people. But honestly I would have waited even longer because they were worth it.

This place is a must try! I tried their ceviche, tacos de asada and quesabirria tacos and have not been disappointed. I do take one star away because of the location. It is located in Oakland on International, and if you're a Bay Area native, you know. The crime rate here is extremely high, and the few times I've been here, there are always police sirens blazing by. I always make sure to park in an area where my car is in view, or just take it to go. However, don't let that stop you from visiting this establishment.. just be mindful of your surroundings and you'll be fine. Service can be a little slow at times, but it is because they make everything fresh to order. Please be patient!

Summary: Food was good, not great. I will give it another shot. I am currently in a credential program for Diversity in Leadership Institute at Bishop O'Dowd on Saturdays. We get about an hour to eat and this is LITERALLY right down the street. I ordered for pick up to maximum time. Upon arrival, food was ready with utensils and still warm even 10 minutes after initial time. Parking was plentiful but challenging to navigate as their food truck is blocking a section of the lot and signage isn't helpful. The inside was narrow but had a couple seats. The staff were pleasant and attentive. They pack in the meat which was great. Ribs and Tri Tip were both well seasoned, but drenched with bbq sauce which, for me, takes away from the craftsmanship of the BBQ. Mac and Cheese was solid but not creamy or cheesy. This was the most disappointing thing. Greens were really good. I want to give their fried chicken a shot.

Veg / Vegan review. Loved it! Both the Bhel puri and the Bangalore Masala puri were 5/5. (Ask them for extra dry puri for the Bangalore masala puri)

My favorite taco truck in the East Bay. My favorite tacos are the fish, quesabirria, and pollo. They make the best pollo taco I've ever had---it has this addicting, smoky flavor to it.Food comes out super quick, and they have plenty of outdoor tables to eat at.

"I am patiently awaiting the re-opening of this truck. From what I heard from the owner, this truck will be making a comeback in the near future. It would probably help if Oakland had fewer broad daylight robberies, but... different topic for another day."
"THIS IS DA SPOT FOR SALVADOREAN TAMALES! Minus a star cuz today I came and the lady didn't have any :( said she would have them on Thursday but I don't work in the area on Thursday. I got the Mexican kind instead today, more moist than other places but still nothing like tamales salvadoreanos. The green sauce they give for the tamales is hella good. $2.50 each and the little Cart is open til 3pm. Otherwise check out their store location. Bonus: you can park in the el charro market parking lot instead trying to find parking in fruitvale (nightmare)"
"Food: 8/10Service: N/A (pay at the food truck and seat yourself or take home) Value: 5/10Wait time: 5 minutes to order on Sunday at 12noonPortion size: medium I have been here many times but this is my first time writing a review. I haven't been in a while since they got rid of the 2nd food truck and the line is just too long. This time there was barely a line so I had to get some!I ordered steak tacos and 1 lengua taco. Definitely still delicious but the price has gone up probably due to inflation and covid. Its now $3.25 for one taco! The lengua is definitely a favorite if you want to be adventurous. Its beef tongue but its so tender and juicy that you have to try it! All meals are served with a side of radishes, carrots and jalapeños. I would also ask for a side of salsa to add to the tacos because this time there wasn't as much as I remembered."
"This fire truck restaurant has the best breakfast burritos. My boss brought us some one morning and I almost thought I was back in Austin eating one of those breakfast burritos. It was a little spicy for my taste that day but the day after OMG it was prefect. The taste was so good I wanted to get another one. I pass that truck everyday and you don't know how hard it is for me to keep driving. If you get a chance stop by. gooood"
"I'm a city burrito to best burritoTrucks in the bay type gal. Very skeptical about new Burrito check especially not in the areas that I'm used to. I looked over the reviews as I also looked over the menu we ordered two to feed for people and to our delight. They were very good. I do recommend this truck as a Burrito stop spot you will be pleased.Monster burrito x2 $36"
"Just a heads-up--this is a taco truck! While the location may not be the best part of Oakland, it's absolutely worth the trip. The tacos are generously sized and packed with meat, and the shrimp are huge--practically colossal prawns. The flavors are incredible, the salsa is delicious, and they always include jalapeños and carrots on the side. They offer a great variety of options, with the flexibility to customize your order. My rating is solely on the food ! One tip: be sure to check their hours before heading out. I've made the mistake of driving all the way there on a Sunday, only to find out they're closed that day!"
"La Orizabena is parked in front of Coach's bar. it can be easily missed as Fremont Blvd. takes a rounded turn and one's attention is fixated on the road, not the address. eye catching design of truck will signal their location.offerings: tacos, burritos, antojitos (sopes. huarache, nachos, flauntas, tostadas, choripaps, enpanadas), tortas, quesadillas, platos, specials.eats: al pastor, suadero, lengua tacos (3, 3, 3.50)-ample amount of protein for pastor & suadero. lengua pricier, had the least amount. lengua was moist, slightly juicy, pastor dry & fried. suadero flakey , dry, *some patrons commented they liked the meats "extra crispy"-accompanied by cucumber slices, lime squeeze, tasty red & green salsas.-wait time exceeded 10 minutes. it's not just scoop & go. they actually reheat or heat the proteins when order is placed. 4.5 stars good value as to portion size. prefer proteins moist/juicy, not friedfrijoles refritos:-large selections to choose from. good place to try a variety of eats.-no seating. Coach's bar is an option."
"First timer having Mumbai street food. We ordered the masala vada pav and a chai. The vada pav was full of flavor and had perfect a perfect spice level. Really enjoyed this as a late night snack, will be going back to try other items on the menu."
"This taco truck is a winner. It's an anchor. Has been around for years. You can do delivery or go and park on San Pablo and have a nice wait in the sun or on a bar break after sunset and get a good taco or burrito boost. The Alambres burrito is a must for any bacon lovers. Everything you love in a burrito plus BACON!"
"I ordered through DoorDash so this isn't an in person experience. I got all super tacos of pastor, asada, and shrimp. The super tacos itself are great, I love how they include slices of avocado on each taco and the plate came with pickled jalapeños and a lime. Overall I would definitely reorder from this place! It was open late and satisfied my cravings for taco. We tried all their available salsas and the heat level was perfect. Solid place for tacos!"
"Ordered through GrubHub for takeout, and was seriously impressed! The New York strip was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the scallops were also done well--not overcooked, just the right texture. The garlic rice was amazing--packed with flavor, with a nice peppery kick that I loved. The vegetables paired really well with everything, making the meal feel balanced and satisfying. Plus, the portion sizes were huge, which made it well worth the price! Another plus? The food traveled well, sometimes takeout can lose its quality, but everything held up great. Overall, definitely be ordering again! Would highly recommend if you're looking for quality food with big portions and great flavor."
"Great bang for your buck. ~$17 for half a bird and potatoes/Brussels sprouts that for me serves as lunch and dinnerI've always thought of switching it up and trying their other meats... but their chicken is just too good to risk it"
"I have been wanting to try this food truck in a while. Everytime I am on a walk I would pass by the truck and It'd be closed but today was the day.Ordered shahi chai and osmania biscuits. Both excellent. The owner was extremely sweet to offer us free paneer pakodas. It was so tasty that we ended up ordering shahi stuffed kulcha and amritsari kulche chole which she packed neatly for takeout.Honestly I liked everything. I will definitely be going back."
"We went to enjoy the day at Lake Merritt on a beautiful, sunny Sunday recently and decided to have lunch with Cool!naria. My boyfriend had the Tecolote sandwich with red chilaquiles, two fried eggs, kale slaw, sour cream, cotija and avocado. This is a sandwich to be reckoned with for sure! Huge and delicious with a great combination of flavors and textures. I had the street tacos which were the perfect size to try a few offerings. Chicken pibil, baja shrimp, and pork carnitas. Each taco had a generous amount of filling and was topped with fresh, crunchy kale slaw. They were all so tasty it would be hard to pick a favorite. I enjoyed each one. We spent a little time talking with the owners also and they are the nicest people. Fast service too.Keep an eye out for their truck and pay them a visit. You'll love it!"
"The food here is bomb AF! I love how UberEats app have promotions, like BOGO for their burrito. Going in person was not bad as well! There is parking and a little outdoor seating.I highly recommend ordering ahead through the UberEats App if you don't wait. It's a little safer to go there before sunset as well."
"Food is super hearty, only come here on an empty stomach cuz it is heavy!Juicy tacos and loaded fries definitely can't go wrongFeels like a backyard picnic with a pool table and wooden benches, definitely would be an awesome pregame or post-game spotOverall I dig this local business, definitely a go to on a party night"
"My Mexican coworkers have deemed this the best taco truck near our work. It's located in a gas station parking lot near Verde tea house, sala thai, and Kazuma Sushi. There used to be a seven eleven there but I think it's closed now.For ease of service, try calling your order in ahead. The last two times I did this, they said the order would be ready in five to ten minutes, which is a good amount of time for me to get there and find parking. Of course, your mileage will vary. LolMy favorite is the Al pastor tacos here. My coworkers switch it up between the tacos and the Limon burritos. I've also had the cabeza, trips, carne asada, and lengua tacos and they were all OK.They're very accommodating of special requests. I always ask for no cilantro and my friend asks for no onions."
"BEST CREPES IN THE BAY AREA!I don't review until I've been to a place a few times as I believe in consistency. This place right here is the best crepes in the Bay no kidding! Amazing customer service as well. I am always greeted with a smile and I always feel welcome. No need to go anywhere else."
"Recently found out about this place via door dash and omgggg I've already ordered the tacos (quesabirria w/consume, cabeza, lengua) from here multiple times. It's soooo GOOD everytime, AND it's super cheap! Support Oakland mom and pop taco trucks they're the BEST! ^_^"
""When it's done properly, taco should be a verb." - Jonathan GoldAnd it's done properly at this LST Truck #3! As part of East Brothers Brewery outdoor dining experience, I highly recommend the birria tacos here with consommé. Crunchy then El Garage and $2.00 cheaper with dipping treat, they rank right up there with the other Richmond Bay Area trend setter. Plus the East Bros beer is a great match. Highly recommend!! A great weekend stop :-)"
"Great truck. Inexpensive, fresh, super tasty, and generous portions. Fast, friendly service. They park at my office occasionally and although I normally bring my lunch I would order from them again."
"Pleasantly suprised. I really loved the tacos here. Meat was seasoned well. And the tortillas were the best I ever had. I'd definitely come back here."
"I couldn't decide from their Filipino food so I took the combo which had everything and I was not disappointed!!! The chicken Adobo was so tender and full of flavor and came with rice. I wish I had more of the amazing sauce over the rice. A good portion of Pancit which tasted amazing! The vermicelli had a great texture. The lumpia was a little dry but still really good. I hope to encounter their food truck more often in the future!"
