Prior to that, I was used to eating it hot. It wasn't bad though, just different. I must warn you about the purple onions - they're super strong!! I love onions but these are just too strong yet I don't remove from my sandwich . The size of the sandwich is a bit large. I normally eat half with chips and save the other half for later. Average price; around $10. The potato salad is pretty good! Great place for a quick sandwich! Note - You place your order with the Ladies and if you're paying with cash, you may pay them but if you are paying with a card then you have to go pay at the liquor store counter."

"Was in the area, craving a sandwich and this little deli did not disappoint. We got two sandwiches and split them. Both were really good. Romano was more of a favorite. We also had a cannoli, not pictured but it was delicious. It's hard to find a good cannoli anywhere on the west coast! Service was quick, we did not have to wait long for our order. "First time I ordered the Italian and this was during the beginning of Covid. Then I decided come here after work STARVING at like 8am last week. At 8am, there aren't much restaurants or shops opened that serve non-breakfast food. Had the Turkey avocado with sliced sourdough w/ no onions two times and also got the Bumpcity cheesesteak for my brother. A lot of bread options, customer service is quick and friendly. They have mini coolers that hold soda, juice and other drinks that you can get. The interior is clean and spacious. You can actually sit there and eat if you wanted to. I think I'm going to come here every other week now because the Turkey Avocado reminds me of this sandwich I used to eat as a child."

"After missing the ferry, my friends and I stumbled upon Dolma Deejis, and I'm so glad we did because their sandwiches are the best! We arrived on a Tuesday around 11am and were promptly greeted at the counter. I ordered a roast beef sandwich, and it was truly exceptional. Crafting a sandwich is easy, but it takes serious skill to ensure all the ingredients are perfectly balanced in every bite - and this one never fell apart! My friend ordered the Malibu burger and said it was delicious. The seating was also very comfortable, making it the perfect lunch spot. I can't wait to return!"

"As a child and picky eater, the only sandwich I liked was a plain ham sandwich. My Dad introduced me to Ba Le when I was in elementary school and from there, I grew to love their ham banh mis. It's been several years since I've been back but not much has changed aside from the prices. The tiny and casual sandwich shop operates as cash only and takeout only. You can order in person or on the phone--regardless banh mis are made fast.They have several options of pork, chicken, or vegetarian banh mi along with Vietnamese snacks, drinks, and desserts. My favorite item as a child was Banh Mi Dac Biet (Ham and Pork Cake Sandwich). I split this with for lunch with my companion. Based on reviews, the bread can be a hit or miss. Ours wasn't stale instead it was semi-soft, crunchy, and flaky. The meat was both fatty and lean with bright pickled veggies but I feel their portion size has gone down since I was a kid. For those craving a banh mi around the area, Banh Mi Ba Le is an affordable takeout option. The shop is located in Peppermint Tree Plaza with free parking out front. This isn't the best but will always be a nostalgic go-to for me whenever I'm home and want a banh mi."

During a break between games, we went out for a quick bite and found Santoro's about a couple minutes away.Santoro's is located on the corner of a residential area so you'll need to park on the street. However, the location is part of the charm as you feel like you've stepped back in time when you enter Santoro's. You're greeted by a friendly crew and asked to fill out your order slip. We ordered a couple of sandwiches which were bigger than we expected with layers of delicious roasted meat and all of the condiments. I had the chicken sandwich and highly recommend it.The staff was very attentive and checked on us regularly to make sure we were enjoying our sandwiches. You can tell this is the neighborhood spot as locals came in to grab their usual orders and have a quick chat with the staff/owners."

The freshness of the cucumber, the tartness of the pickles, the saltiness of the feta, the creaminess of the avocado. And the Dutch crunch. I don't even know what to say. And for less than $10?! I would prostitute myself for this sandwich. My only issue is their hours. I gotta find weird excuses to get myself to Berkeley on a weekday during work hours - but I will do it. Whoever gave this place anything less than five stars has lost all of their credibility as a food reviewer."

"Kelly's Deli is located outside Home Depot on San Pablo Ave. in Richmond. I happen to be in the area since I was looking for some new channel locks and other tools for work. It was an early Monday morning, and I wanted something to eat for breakfast after purchasing my items. I noticed this place right away (how could you not?) since it's literally right in front of Home Depot. The menu is the usual deli staples like Burgers, Hot Dogs, Sandwiches and the ubiquitous Mexican breakfast items like Burritos, Tacos, Quesadillas and Tortas. You know...the usual "deli" items. I didn't know too many Mexicans named Kelly either, so feeling like a Maverick (wink wink), I thought I'd really put my Maverick Badge to work and earn it. The prices looked reasonable as well and not too extravagant.I decided to get some Carne Asada Quesadillas ($11.00). One thing I immediately noticed that they could improve on is customer service. It was definitely as frigid as the weather lately. As soon as I received my order, I went straight to my vehicle for another fine car dining experience. Opening the container, I appreciated the quantity of food and was quite impressed on my initial reaction. However, after taking my first bite, I tasted a lot of sodium on the meat. Thinking it was just a few meats that were overly salty, my second bite hoped that it would be different, but it was just as salty or even saltier in some areas of the Quesadilla. The sour cream made it a little bit tolerable, but I didn't finish the whole thing since I could feel the sodium spike going on in my body which was warning me to stop. I did like the salsa verde that accompanied the Quesadilla though. Would I try them again? Depends...and I'm definitely not getting the Carne Asada since it was marinated with too much salt. Maybe I should stick with burgers and sandwiches from a place called Kelly's."

I was surprised it was circular instead of rectangular. Lol. The cashier didn't ask me what kind of bread I wanted but later on I found out they have other options such as rye or dutch crunch. My sandwich came with telera bread (google says it's white bread typically used on Mexican sandwiches). Anyway, tasty & moist sandwich! The roasted bell pepper sauce, meat & spinach went well together. The potato salad was a little on the bland side. The inside is pretty tiny, think there were 2 or 3 tables. They offer soups and salads too. Also saw some catering options: veggie/fruit platters and lasagna. Will return!"

Instead of waving me off, she said they could still make cold sandwiches and that I could eat on the premises since it' would take them a while to clean the place. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, but they ran out. She asked if I wouldn't mind having the curry chicken salad.I sat outside in the terrace, and they brought me the $10.25 Curry Chicken Salad on Dutch Crunch. It's also a great value at $10 and should satiate the hungriest of appetites.The Carne Asada Super Burrito is solid, with good flavor in the steak, but there's definitely better in Oakland. The salsa, while a good complement, is pretty spicy, so I would recommend getting it on the side. Finally, they don't have a phone number to call orders in, so be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes, though they do have some grab-and-go items. Definitely worth the wait though! Looking forward to trying the Breakfast Quesadilla and Torta next."
