"The minute I walked in I was greeted. The menu had a multiple options of different kinds of sandwiches, and a build your own option. Also, the chips and drink options had awide array. I ordered the Cali club sandwich and it was amazing. For the price which was around $15, they definitely gave a lot of meat and condiments. Baras used to be a liquor store, but they eventually converted it to a sandwich deli which was a great idea. Everybody, I know who's been There says they love the food. The staff are nice and the deli is clean. I highly recommend this place If you like sandwiches and pasta. I will definitely be returning to Baras in the future."

"Unbeknownst to Crust, my closest coworker suddenly passed away this morning. I spent all morning vacillating between shock/numbness and crying. Eventually I decided to order Grubhub for lunch. I wanted something comforting, so I ordered my favorite chipotle chicken sandwich from my favorite sandwich spot, Crust. During my online order, I added a few requests and sent a note that I hoped they had a nice weekend. My order arrived swiftly and when I opened the bag, I saw that they threw in a cookie too. I almost started crying again because of their kindness, without even knowing how my morning went.The sandwich was perfect; crunchy yet chewy, perfectly tangy with the sourdough bread, hearty portions of chicken, delicious chipotle sauce. During a break between games, we went out for a quick bite and found Santoro's about a couple minutes away.Santoro's is located on the corner of a residential area so you'll need to park on the street. However, the location is part of the charm as you feel like you've stepped back in time when you enter Santoro's. You're greeted by a friendly crew and asked to fill out your order slip. We ordered a couple of sandwiches which were bigger than we expected with layers of delicious roasted meat and all of the condiments. I had the chicken sandwich and highly recommend it.The staff was very attentive and checked on us regularly to make sure we were enjoying our sandwiches. You can tell this is the neighborhood spot as locals came in to grab their usual orders and have a quick chat with the staff/owners."

The patty has such a satisfying crunch and then it gives way to the creamy crabby middle. The shaved cabbage is the perfect vegetable to absorb the heat from the katsu yet still remain crunchy, and the house made tartar sauce has the perfect amount of acidity anti balance everything out. There's even a little lemon that comes on the side if you want more acid.The kabocha squash falafel has been my craving lately, but this one is the breakthrough hit until crab season is over."

I was surprised it was circular instead of rectangular. Lol. The cashier didn't ask me what kind of bread I wanted but later on I found out they have other options such as rye or dutch crunch. My sandwich came with telera bread (google says it's white bread typically used on Mexican sandwiches). Anyway, tasty & moist sandwich! The roasted bell pepper sauce, meat & spinach went well together. The potato salad was a little on the bland side. The inside is pretty tiny, think there were 2 or 3 tables. They offer soups and salads too. Also saw some catering options: veggie/fruit platters and lasagna. Will return!"

Senseless and definitely sad for small business trying to survive.I know everyone is on edge at this time, but High XII owner, Abby and staff, Jose and Leti (my apologies for not knowing the others) are wonderful, welcoming, friendly and help to start off your morning! Everyone there I might add, is doing a great job at following CDC recommendations: face masks, gloves, markings on the floor for social distancing, touchless payment, plexi, plastic drape to protect the food, employees and the customers while being ever so friendly and respectful... Definitely adding that extra star to this review! High XII Cafe has limited their hours (Mon-Fri, 8am - 1:30pm) and menu to a few breakfast items (some Starter Bakery goodies), Verve coffee with sandwiches and salad until they get back on their feet. This place is nothing fancy but great to grab a pastry and quick bite after getting off 12th Street BART station, with a short walk around the corner onto 11th.Show this business some love and support by stopping by, grabbing a bite (tip: the salmon and kale salad lunch is the best!) and making a small donation/tip for this business and hardworking staff!
