"I love this place!!! First of all its Black owned!!!! I love that! I've been going consistently on Wednesdays for both of Lauren's classes and it's always a fun time. Great vibes and energy and lots of support! I plan to increase the number of classes I take weekly. I see my growth and for me that's an amazing feeling!"
"Recently took a hip hop class at In the Groove for a friend's birthday and loved the experience!I'm very much a beginner level dancer, but our instructor was great and made learning the moves doable. I was hesitant due to my awkwardness, but felt so welcomed. He broke down each dance move and made it easy to sequence the moves together. We also did the dance moves with and without music (P Lo's Put Me On Somethin'!) which was helpful. Would definitely recommend their birthday party packages which includes your choice of song. It's such a different and fun experience for a group of friends. I wish In the Groove was closer to me, but would definitely return for a class with a group of friends."

I wanted to love this place because it's so conveniently located. Parking on the weekend can be hectic, but if you get there early enough you should be able to drive around and find a spot. The instructor, Victoria is amazing. So nice, fun, and genuinely interested in the well being of the students. If this was just a review of her, she would get five stars. The pole studio itself is badly in need of some renovations. Almost all of the poles looked extremely scuffed, making grip a bit harder. In a studio with no AC and only a couple fans, the poles should be in better condition for grip purposes. The floors definitely need to be replaced. The laminate is coming up in places, missing chunks in others, and is held together in places with some kind of tape. The tape, however, is soft and fraying so by the time the one hour class was over, I had tape all over the bottom of my shoes. Not a fault of the studio (but kind of the fault of the studio), the class was extremely packed to point poles had to be shared. I don't mind sharing a pole, but it seems like some of the women there were not used to it so when I asked if I could share they told me no. Like really? It's not that serious, but ok, I'll ask around to find someone who doesn't mind sharing. An easy way to prevent that would be to only allow people who sign up for class to take it. The space is large and they have many poles in there, so capping class size based on single pole availability is probably a good idea.

My first time here. I'm not gonna lie I was SCARED lol I DM'd Sondi and inquired if she had beginner classes available. Sondi said her class is a beginner class and everyone is learning. GREAT NEWS Class is only 8$ and one hour long I got there early found parking easily (street parking only and it's a Saturday so you still have to pay the meter)Sondi is a great instructor she communicates the instructions very well and makes it easy to learn and follow her. There is NO JUDGMENT. Other people in the class were easy going no drama no egos. It was everyone's first time there. The music you work out to is Great which makes it even easier to catch onThis is a fun way to work out. And TRUST ME IT IS A WORK OUT. I can't wait to go back next Saturday. Also another perk is if you bring a friend CLASS IS FREE
