"All you can eat. Food was pretty good to me. I just wish the service was faster but the staff were nice. It seemed they were low staffed. They did the best to try and change the grill too. But for a weekend day they should have more members. I dropped a star for that. But it was clean on the inside!Everything meat wise was yummy. Sauces were on point. Private lot in front"
"POST-GAME AND PRE-GAME CAL FOOTBALL MEALSI'll admit the first time I heard about this place is what tragically happened to the owner. Due to that I wanted to come here to support Oakland businesses. Customers who ate here rave about the G Fire wings. The first time I came here was on a Sunday the day after Cal beat Auburn. Also that day was my birthday so I had two things to celebrate. I ordered the G Fire Wings along with two scoops of rice. I also ordered the XL lumpia as that is another item that customers rave. The G Fire Wings hype is real. They're worth ordering. These wings have a texture similar to the Korean chicken wings I ate at two Chinese restaurants in San Francisco. The XL lumpia is long and the pork filling is flavorful. After eating here I noticed the "Special of the Day" consisted of coconut chicken adobo with rice and G-Fire beef short ribs with rice. I knew I had to come back to Lucky Three Seven. The second time I came here was on Saturday October 5. Earlier that day I was at Berkeley (arrived around 3:50 AM) for ESPN College GameDay. I was hoping to order the coconut chicken adobo, but it wasn't available that day. I ordered one of the daily specials that day - pork belly adobo. I have a love-hate relationship with adobo as either it is a hit or miss with me at Filipino parties or restaurants. There are some reasons. I have had some adobos with the broth too soupy or oily. Other times the meat (pork or chicken) is dry and stringy. The adobo I ate at Lucky Three Seven was the pork belly adobo. The broth had that vinegar taste that associates with adobo. Also the broth wasn't too soupy. Most importantly the pork belly was moist. The fat was rendered well enough to eat. The pork belly adobo was one of the few times I've enjoyed eating adobo at a restaurant. The third time I came here was the following Saturday prior to the Cal-Pitt game. I was elated to see that the chicken coconut adobo was one of the specials of the day. The parts for the chicken adobo I had were the chicken wings. Regarding the broth the coconut milk cuts the sharpness of the vinegar. Yet there is still that adobo flavor from that dish. The use of the chicken wings results in a moist meat for this adobo dish. The chicken coconut adobo is the most unique adobo dish I've ever ate. The fourth time I came here was Saturday after the North Carolina State-Cal game. I came here close to 6:00 PM. One of the "Specials of the Day" was the G Fire short ribs with rice. The G Fire short ribs had a different flavor than the G Fire wings - the flavor similar to the short ribs on a Hawaiian lunch plate. The short ribs at Lucky Three Seven are meatier than most of the beef short ribs I've ate from other Hawaiian eateries.Whether before or after Cal sporting events if I am hungry I'll go to Lucky Three Seven."

"I'm not sure how my husband discovered this hidden gem since it's located in a part we normally wouldn't travel to nor a part of Oakland to walk around leisurely. But hey we love a random discovery! We ordered our $39 ube pizza online and drove over. Luckily we snatched a spot right out in front! We must have misread on when the pizza was ready so when we showed up the kind folks (pizza chef and 1 staff) were profusely apologetic about the wait. There was 1 other customer waiting inside the restaurant but otherwise no one was dining in. Not wanting to loiter in the area, we decided to check out the nearby Ghost Town Brewery to have a drink instead (highly recommend).Interestingly you can order 1/2 orders of pizza, though sadly you couldn't do that with the ube pizza- otherwise would have loved to sample other flavors. After finishing imbibing our delicious beers at Ghost Town we circled back to Spinning Dough. They recognized me immediately and handed me with a giant box of pizza, thanking me for the wait. The smell of our pizza was so tantalizing we almost pulled over to take a bite. And let me tell you that ube sausage ricotta red onion pizza is SO worth the wait. Every bite was addictingly savory. My husband easily gulped gown 3 or 4 slices! I ate 2 slices and had the remaining 2 as my next day lunch, and yes they were still just as magical. I also appreciate that the thin crust was very crispy.I will definitely try out other flavors next time!"
"First time and I loved my wings real bad! I got the lemon pepper and they were everything I was hoping for! Price and the service was good. The place was big and cold as hell! But I forgot how cold it was once my wings arrived! This place would definitely take lots of my money if I lived closer because these wings were the truth! I'd want to try all flavors! That's a fact!! The beef fried rice and green onion rice was delicious too!"
"The pizza/food here is amazing! I never thought that this place would be as good as it was, I always drove by it but never tried it until today and I cannot recommend it enough, plus it's halal! I ordered the garlic veggie with chicken and it was suuuper flavorful (pictured below). The service was great, I ordered via the phone and it was quick and easy. Once I arrived, I just walked and and told them my name and quickly got my pizza. Although I did a carry-out, the ambiance in the restaurant was nice. It was clean, neat, and very nicely decorated. I could definitely eat-in at this spot!Overall, I give this spot a 5/5."
"If there's any place, I would recommend anyone to go to for brunch in Oakland it would be Oeste. I really enjoyed the energy in there and the food was packed with flavor. The rice and beans were to die for. My favorite thing there is the whole fried fish and baby Ceasar???? he was all about that salad (add the grilled chicken, trust me)"
"Can't get enough of the fresh tofu rolls Mmmm and the eggplant tofu over rice. Even the rice is made to perfection. I've been coming here a few days a week and have enjoyed these two dishes so much. They are officially my go-to! I have had many delicious Thai food all over the west coast and east coast, but would consider Sala one of my favorites. I can close my eyes and feel like I was in Thailand again. Sala is perfection. This is a family owned business and ran very well. Excellent service, delicious food, and a clean beautifully curated ambiance. Parking is easy, to-go is quick! They even give you a discount for paying in cash! Love it here and will keep coming back. Btw- their home made chili fish sauce with the peanut sauce for the fresh rolls is SOOOO GOOOD!"
"Working with the owner on private event pricing was so REASONABLE HIGHY RECOMMEND! I was so happy with their response time, vibe of the place and they are so easy to work with."
"Amazing service and the staff are very polite. The wait was a little long as expected to come for brunch on Sunday. Food was very good also and ingredients are well prepared. Loved my fried chicken and waffles, wifey loved her ricotta pancakes. Will try the Loco Moco Next time. The ambiance is a little on the louder side since it's a small place. But cozy and feels very welcoming. Will definitely come back and visit The Sunday... on other days as well. Message to the two guys that helped us today: You guys are very very welcoming and nice and polite and The Sunday is very lucky to have both of you guys working there. You have made our day!!!!"
"KV Noodle was amazing from start to finish. It's unassuming from the outside, but everything else is just how you'd want it to be. The vibe is part sports bar, part fancy restaurant. The service quick and attentive. The people working there seemed to be happy working there. And the food!!! I'll dream about that shrimp tempura tonight. The menu has changed a bit from some of the photos in other reviews-they no longer have the crispy noodles. Do we tried the combination yellow noodles (dry) and it did not disappoint. From the presentation to the taste it was superb. The spring rolls were fresh and the sauce it came with was delish. If our meal was any indication of the rest of the menu, I need to find more excuses to go to San Jose so I can try more things."
"Such a hidden gem for Korean bunsik items: tteokbbokki, kimbap, and Korean fried chicken. I love that they do a boneless of the Korean chili large fried chicken. It comes with a side of radishes and makes it more authentic. Definitely call ahead to place your order ahead of time. There is no seating except some tables outside, so I highly recommend taking it back somewhere else to eat. My go to orders are: kimbap, japchae, tteokkbbokki, & large fried chicken with 1/2 soy garlic / 1/2 korean chili."
"first time here over all it was not badbeef short ribs were little dry and hardseafood pan cake it was okbeef tofu soup the best also this is the first korean restaurant that gave very little portion on side dishes, very little!!"

Ohgane has always been my go-to spots to grab kbbq as they serve AYCE & the meat quality is really good! The space is pretty spacious which allow a lot of parties, and it's well ventilated. The tables have call buttons so at the press of a button, you can have someone come to the table. My party often orders their brisket, short rib, and pork belly amongst the options they do provide and we love it each time! I often pair it up by adding their green onion salad on the side! It helps balance out with the meat & the feeling of any greasiness. They have a lot of good appetizers to select from, we often go for their corn cheese & tofu soup. Their soups are excellent and packed with a lot of ingredients. At the end of the meal, my bf and I would usually ask for a slushy. We love their lychee slushy! If you're ever in the area & are looking for a new kbbq spot, you should check our Ohgane!

My best friend and I loved Lucky Three Seven! We ordered the G Fire Wings + Short Ribs with two cokes. It's been dope to explore and learn about the local Filipino American businesses in the area, especially since moving back to the Oakland after going to college in Chicago and having grown up in Frisco + Fremont. My only regret is I didn't come out and try the food sooner fr!! We're already making plans to come back + and I'm even more hyped because my work is ordering Lucky Three Seven for our holiday party! Shoutout to the Lucky Three Seven crew and to the owner, Mark, for all the great food recommendations for us first-timers and checking in on us! We really appreciate the fantastic service, and are so grateful to have shared a meal here!

I came for the Ube Pizza and that beautiful purple tuber is not just for show! The ube infused ingredients add a delightful flavor to the ideal combination of house-made Italian sausage, onions and bechamel. It's an extra large pie with a thin, chewy crust perfect for folding. My mom and I enjoyed it so much and thought it was totally worth the drive. Customer service was great. I was greeted immediately after walking in and they were very friendly and patient with my questions. Jeff (the owner and chief dough spinner) kindly cooked my pizza to almost done so I could do the final bake at home in Sacramento. Next time we will dine in and try their Longanisa, Soppresata, and Seafood pizzas. Also on the menu are wings, salads, desserts, beer & wine. Everybody always heads across the bridge to Tony's but why do that when you could have delicious, uniquely creative and traditional NY style pizza in Oaktown?

This place is so good and affordable! The portions are reasonable too.Definitely get the garlic noodle - they used udon noodles and the flavor was awesome.I got the salt and pepper chicken wings and it came with free fries. The wings were nicely fried, savory, and delicious.I got the tater tots too and everything I bought cost like $22 only. Highly recommend you come here and try the food out!

I've had this spot on my list of places to try for a while, and I finally got to do it back in November! I called in for a lunch pick up and was told it would be ready within ten minutes. When I arrived, my order for a small BBQ chicken pizza was fresh out the oven! The spot was open and quite spacious, and the aroma of pizza sifted through the air. Service was quick and I was able to take my box home for a good price! I was tempted on the way back home, so I tried a slice in the car. IT WAS SO MAGICAL. Not only was it nice and hot, the flavors balanced out and it wasn't too cheesy or too saucy. I really liked how the crust was soft and that the pie was filled with tons of flavor. I'm so excited to come back again and try another pizza!

First off when you enter Oeste the place has a great energy. It is very pleasing to the eye. It is clean. Everyone is friendly. The vibe is great. The music is curated by a DJ. The clientele is hip, upscale and joyful. It feels like home. The waitstaff is attentive and takes great care of you. Now let's talk food. I am very picky especially when it comes to food that I make extremely well. So when I go to a place whose menu is similar to my home menu it better be out of this world. Oeste's food was. We ordered the fry catfish plate. It comes with catfish, red beans and rice. It was perfection. The fish was crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside and seasoned very well. The beans were almost better than mine. They make them with smoke turkey and add just enough heat to them. And it wen great with the white rice. The portion is huge. We ordered fried plantains. They did not disappoint. They were fried well and were sweet. Loved it. We got Mac and cheese that was sinful. They make their with gruyère cheese which made it soft and cheesy on the inside and crusty on the outside. Great twist on the dish. We ordered a green salad which was large and in charge. The dressing was yummy and the salad was fresh and tasty. Lastly, we ordered the bread pudding. So delicious, the whip cream was so fresh and was drizzled in caramel which made it also sinful. I left out of there with a stuffed belly and totally satisfied. If I lived in the Bay Area this would definitely be my weekly spot. I can't recommend it enough. It is a great place to go have drinks with friends or celebrate events at. I can't say enough about it. Except I will be going back when in the Bay Area.

This review is long overdue. The Pad see ew was really good and the noodles had some really nice sear on it. Another aspect I liked about is was the very thin scrambled eggs which added a nice texture. Layout, it has a good balance of the salty and the sweet flavour profile. The Pad thai was decent though I'm not had enough pad thai of late to really make a fair comparison, or critique.

Hella delicious, and not even that hidden. I'm a sucker for a good vegetarian sammie, but it takes a lot to impress this mess. Mostly because I'm used to getting messed up and mucked over by lame excuses for sandwiches that lack flavor, variety and substance; just putting all of the standard sammich ingredients (e.g, tomato, lettuce, onion, mayo, mustard, and pickles) sans carne is NOT enough to qualify as a yummy vegetarian sando. But mm mmm mmmmmmm! When I bit down on that Strength sandwich and those marinated artichoke hearts and pesto and schnazzy sauce took over, I was sold. Beyond sold. In fact, even my (meat-munchin' mooch) carnivorous boyfriend was feeling the flavor my plate offered up and kept asking for more. He had a pastrami sandwich that he also enjoyed when he wasn't stealing my Strength. My only hangup is that I'll probably only ever eat that particular sandwich off the menu; aside from the Strength, all of the hot sandwiches at Hidden Spot are meat-based. So unless I'm going for the tater tots (I'm not), I'm a bit limited. But I don't really care. This spot is still worth it for me.

"This restaurant stays true to the authentic methods of Korean cuisine. Many of the dishes are perfect pairings for drinks and conversations, just like what you'd find at gatherings after work in Korea. The portions are very generous, one serving is often too much for just one person. My favorite is their spring onion fried chicken, which is best enjoyed fresh on site. The Korean ajummas are also incredibly friendly, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere."
"I never leave disappointed whenever I go to Spoon! I've been here a few times and have tried some other dishes, but the tonkatsu is a must everytime! Some other dishes I've tried are stir fry octopus, short rib soup, and tteokbokki. All are decent but the tonkatsu is definitely the best. The perfect flavor and crisp. Whether you get the regular or cheese tonkatsu, you won't be disappointed. I've gotten it to go/delivered a few times as well and it was still nice and crispy!"
"Very authentic Sichuan spicy food. My parents got the take out from here in Berkeley and brought me all the way to Central Valley."
"Love the quality ingredients, the friendly service. This is a must visit spot. I am obsessed with their soups - kimchi soup is spot on. As well as their short ribs. Loved the seafood pancake - it is so filling - it could be a meal. All foods shall be shared. Can't wait to come back."
"Notify the press! China Station is back!Still soft opening, but they know what's important... spicy fried chicken wings! From what I was told, it is not the same owners, but they are related, so recipe is the same. From what I ate today, it sure tastes the same! Please note that during soft opening, the menu is limited (no party trays yet) and it is cash only!"
"It's really, really great pizza. I'm so glad it's nearby & we'd order it more often but hours & staff seem inconsistent. The owner seems like a real nice guy."
"Fried chicken is consistent and super crispy. The lunch deal is a steal and a boos portion where I can only eat half with the 3 giant drums and kimchee fried rice. All around 15.00! Spice can be on the side vs on the chicken. #1 reason I come is the nice young lady behind the counter is the sweetest, kindest woman. She goes out of her way to ensure the order and service is excellent. Huge kudos to her and why I keep coming back. The place is immaculate."
"I love this place and my boys love it too. They have a lot of options and combos to choose from. They also have boneless wings which have more meat... Even though I love most of the flavors, my favorite has to be the boneless spicy lemon pepper ...The staff is always friendly!! They chat with us and give my boys extra fries, extra sauces, etc.The restaurant is also very clean. Too bad I'm about 35 minutes away, but it's worth the drive."
"Personal service quick yummy lunchCheck it out Pork Raman is the tops.Nice menu and reasonable prices"
"DELIVERY: I ordered from the website and had a question so made the call. The person who answered the phone was helpful and we squared away my order.A little background, I'd ordered from here during the early COVID years and I thought I was ordering a gluten free pizza (completely my error) and the pizza was so good, I couldn't believe it was GF (yeah...it wasn't). So I was pretty disappointed when I learned that I'd made a mistake and the pizza of my dreams was not to be.Fast forward to last week, my son (owner of The Loony Bean) said " Warrior Pizza has a new GF crust. I knew I had to try it. The stars aligned and it happened today and DAYUM! THAT PIZZA IS AMAZING! It truly is as good as their regular crust. People laugh at me when I say I want the "blistered crust" and they nailed it.I had the NY pizza (pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushroom) and added bell pepper and onion. I ordered a regular crust for my partner and the GF for me. When I opened the boxes I couldn't tell by looking which was the GF pizza.THAT NEVER HAPPENS!Fortunately, the wrote GF (see pic) on the inside of my box. The toppings were perfectly balanced to the sauce and the cheese. The crust was NOT SOGGY! This is the best pizza I have had in years.I'll have to level up my exercise cuz I'm about to do this once a week.Excellent service.Excellent delivery. Excellent food. I'll have to stop in there one day on my way to get coffee."
"Salt and pepper shrimp perfectHong king noodles had a lot of noodles and all crunchyHot and sour soup too sweet"
"Fried Chicken was a hit with my family. Placed a phone order and ready within 15 mins. Plenty of parking and conveniently located in a shopping center close to freeway off ramps. Ordered the crispy honey chicken and yangnyum. The pieces were just wings or drumsticks. My confusion or assumption was when it says "half or full," I thought it was half or whole chicken cut up because in LA it is done that way. Price-wise is on average with wingstop but the proportion is tastier and bigger. Definitely more money's worth in comparison. Half order comes with a large cup of pickled radish and full comes with two. Will try other options in the future."
"This is one of my Go-To spots when I just want some solid Chinese food. Nothing fancy, super tasty and really quick. I LOVE the Egg Chow Fun. It's one of my favorites to order along with their Combination Fried rice. I like to get the sesame chicken (though it can be sweet) and the Mongolian chicken. Some things that I tend to stay away from because they have better items are the Cashew Chicken and the soups. But overall love the staff and the food. There's usually a line during peak times but it's worth it! Call ahead if you don't want to wait too long."
"Boba ninja stealthily produced this mountain of popcorn chicken and fried octopus that my appetite was unequipped to handle. Half a bag later I'm just in awe at how much ridiculous snacking this place has to offer. The boba was fine but if you're looking for fried food calorific bliss then this ninja is definitely a "go to"!"
"They have some of the best fried chicken wings I've had in a very long time. I prefer the bone in wings vs the boneless. They are always crisp, give you the option to make them extra crunchy & how much seasoning you want them when ordering. I'm obsessed with the Lemon Pepper wings & ranch dipping sauce. I've had the Garlic Parmesan, Salt N Pepper wings as well...all "deelish". I haven't tried anything else because it's a wing place & I come for the wings. They satisfy that "I want some fried" craving very well. I've also only been to this location so I can't speak as to the consistency elsewhere, but they have been consistently good here. The only other location I'm aware of is San Mateo & they have more/higher reviews than my goto so I can imagine they are "Fire".cheers indeed!"
"For years, I passed this location up and I've always wanted to stop and give them a try. in February my husband and I stopped by and I ordered the fried chicken wing meal with a side of red beans and rice and collards. My husband went with the oxtails over rice and gravy. My honest opinion is that the food lacked salt and seasoning, and I am someone who does not add a lot of salt to my food. The chicken and snapper were cooked to perfection as were the oxtails, but they needed a little bit of salt. I have the same opinion for the sides. Everything is made with love by the hands of hard-working people and I recommend you come and give it a try and form your own opinion."
"As some college students visiting a friends hometown for the weekend, i am so glad they showed us this spot. After a long drive, this was easy to pick up and not far from our stay. We got a chili paneer and the tandoori chicken pizza. our favorite was the tandoori chicken - we tried the chili panner due to other reviews and did really enjoy it as well. However we just really enjoyed the tandoori chicken one much better. This isn't chicken found on any fast food pizza, it was flavorful and juicy. The flavors were delicious and it was a very fresh pizza. If you're into crispy dough you might want to request well done crust, I like the crispy shell/chewy inner style of crust which i feel this has. Service was quick and the workers were very friendly! They even cut up the XL pizza into a grid as asked (we were feeding many people!) An XL 18inch pizza will comfortably feed 4-5 hungry people. Overall really enjoyed the space it was calm, clean, and welcoming."
"First time trying Nigerian food and wow the food is good. It took me some time to get used to the texture of the fufu but I got it.From pulling a piece of fufu to dipping it into the soup and swallowing it whole, is such an interesting experience. Blessed to try foods from different cultures. We ordered both Egusi and Ox tail soup, and they were hot and flavorful. The meat is tender and cooked perfectly. Ahhh the meat just falls off the bone. Not much space to dine but great for take out and bring home to eat!"
"If you want the biggest and the best pizza in the area, this is definitely the place to go. I remember when I first moved to Castro valley, one of the drivers drove up to the house and gasped when he had learned the old homeowners had moved and we replaced them. Gave us a very warm welcome to the neighborhood -- mind you, the first of our neighborhood to really welcome us, so that was quite a great service. Come several years later, we're still ordering pizza from pizza express as simply put, there's no better. My favorite is a traditional thick crust supreme pizza with tomato basil with pepperoni, ham, sausage, linguica... etc. A slice of that with a cup of ranch is just perfect."
"Noticed this spot while next door on my milk tea run. The wings pictured were so enticing, we had to check it out.We decided to dine in and ordered the medium combo, 10 wings + 5 drums, half soy garlic flavor and the other half Korean BBQ, with a complimentary side of coleslaw. We also ordered the seasoned French fries and pork buns. The wings are certified! They're big, juicy, crispy, and full of flavor. So delicious! The fries were perfection, seasoned nicely and just the right crisp level. The pork buns were delicious, too. Nice portion of meat and crunchy veggies.Service was wonderful! It got really busy after we were seated (all tables full except one), but our food came out fairly quickly, and our server still managed to be super attentive, friendly, and with a smile the entire time."
"I ordered the salt & pepper chicken wings with garlic noodles. The garlic noodles were pretty meh... disappointing and wouldn't get it again :/ the WINGS however... really redeemed the meal. I will definitely be coming back for these wings. They have hella flavors and I tried the lemon pepper too-- also great. Their drinks are affordable and tasty. I tried lychee lemonade and the Thai tea. Will def be back when I got munchies. Plenty of indoor seating & some good music"
"To start off... Our family go-to was always JJ'S CHICKEN. My youngest son loves their wings and the way they seasoned them. Over the past couple years there has been a huge decline in quality. I.e. cooked food quality, size of wings. When my kids were younger we would get a 15pc whole wing order and there would always be some leftovers. The older they got I bumped it up to 20pcs. Their wings got smaller and smaller over time. As if new owners came in to increase profit. Look I get it. Keep the prices reasonable and just get smaller wings.... Not the way to go for me. Charge me more for better quality food and I'm okay with that. My last straw with JJ's, I ordered a 30pc knowing they always got the small wings. My family and I were starving after a long outing. Opened it up to eat, 100% BURNT! Wings, fries burnt! So burnt tasting I started to get a swore throat. My family and I stopped eating it!I'm not one to demand my money back or call and yell at them. I know they'll always get some business, but no more business from me! If you want the quality you're use to! Hit up Sharky's!! I also order the Cod meal and man that fish was awesome too! Keep up the good work guys! Thanks!"
"I ordered the crispy padak chicken along with the honey butter flavor. The crispy padak chicken was outstanding, with perfectly fried pieces that were incredibly juicy on the inside while maintaining a delightful crunch on the outside. The scallions paired with the tangy sauce elevated the dish, adding a refreshing bite to balance the richness of the chicken. It's a great choice if you're looking for a well-balanced, flavorful meal. The honey butter chicken was equally delicious, offering a completely different experience. The chicken had a buttery glaze with just the right amount of sweetness, which wasn't too overpowering. The honey butter flavor melted in your mouth with every bite, making it a comfort food that's hard to resist. Both options highlight how this restaurant nails the texture and flavor of their fried chicken. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was prompt, adding to an overall satisfying dining experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Korean fried chicken and enjoys diverse flavor profiles."
