"Absolutely love this charming restaurant! Love that they have outdoor seating and an extra star because they have the CUTEST mascot dog named Barona. She's a sweetheart and so well behaved. Let's start with the ambience... at night it's really pretty with the string lights. Their menu is simple and changes often. I stick with the burger and the fries. I've also had the salmon fettuccine and the portions were Humungous! Enough for leftovers for another meal for the next day. A great place tucked into the beautiful Naglee park neighborhood. Parking is limited and shared with House of Bagels but the hours are different so you shouldn't have to worry about parking. Just a chill place to see the cutest dog, grab a drink, and support a local business! The owner was super nice and came to check on me and Chris my server was wonderful! Will be back again to try the different menu."
"The Public Bar by Blush in the Emeryville Public Market isn't the best spot to have a brew. it's very convenient. it's better than nada. they have many flatscreens to watch.....drinks: drafts, wines, cocktails, blushes....food..brew: drakes ipa (3.5,) HH, 3-6-not many drafts, this one is the strongest?-many bottles, can beers available.drips:-can bring drinks to other tables but what's the point?. -for me, bar is too "public" for me to repeat."

"Now this is one stylish bar. Not surprised this is owned by Hillary and Gavin Newsom's PlumpJack Group. Wildhawk has that kind of monied vibe. The interior decor felt like a contemporary boudoir heavy on the use of black and white floral prints with dark green backgrounds. It's pretty spacious with plenty of seating mostly for cliques of young barhoppers.I sat at the bar since I'm not a young hipster. The craft cocktail was extensive and intriguing with specialties focused on martinis and vermouth. The bartender was super friendly and queried me about my recent and upcoming travels. I tried a couple of the house cocktails in relatively quick succession. The first was the $17 Sueltate, a tangy Latin-based libation. It had mezcal, tequila, basil eau de vie, genever, lychee, chiles, and lime (photo: https://yelp.to/a2cciaCorB). Quite a sweetly piquant treat. The second was the $17 Diving Swallows, quite a tropical carnival of a cocktail with a couple of scotches, San Janz rum, galliano, pandan, and coconut milk topped with buttered popcorn (photo: https://yelp.to/gHq6BVlXQz). I'm a sucker for coconut...literally, so I was hooked on this one fast.COCKTAILS - 5 stars...audaciously creative cocktails that work very wellAMBIANCE - 4.5 stars...stylish but not invasive SERVICE - 5 stars...the male bartender was great...didn't catch his nameTOTAL - 5 stars...$17 cocktails but worth it in this settingRELATED - Exploring the Mission? "Visited Ceron with 3 friends for Saturday brunch. Place opens at 10am and was empty...it's unfortunate as the interior is beautiful and aesthetically gorgeous (Modern Mission style) from the former business (Otaez Mexican Restaurant). *sigh* The vibe almost transports you to dining in the City without going across the bridge and circling for parking. The menu is creative and interesting so plenty of items to try. Options for brunch: eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, simple breakfast with coffee cake and sandwiches. I opted for the French dip sandwich which was presented well and enjoyed the accompanying potato salad. Though good I probably wouldn't order again and try a seafood dish .Friends enjoyed their dishes and what really finished off the meal was the chocolate silk dessert. Light chocolate mousse with a chocolate-crust with varying textures of chocolate gelato, candied hazelnut and chocolate tuile. Our server/host was the Owner/Executive Chef Juan Jaquez - very welcoming, engaging, and mentioned he formerly was head chef at Paradiso, San Leandro for 15 years....i knew the food was different after the pandemic and time he left to open Ceron! I really enjoyed the food when he was there and will have to return to Ceron to try their dinner service. Service was efficient and attentive even after more people arrived.Place is a great venue for a special occasion and meet up with friends. I'd definitely return to try some of their appetizers and eyeing the Berkshire Pork chop. Everything looks delicious albeit pricing on the higher side with like spots. Nevertheless, I'll give it a try if Juan is in charge of dinner service! :) Parking lot in back with metered street parking. Outdoor patio up front (facing Webster) and bar area is great when weather permits or if you have a pet. Highly recommend visiting Ceron!"
"I finally got to check out Pho This Way recently and it was a really great experience. The staff was very warm and inviting and was eager to serve my friend and I. We ordered the net egg rolls, crispy chicken with stir fried noodles and also the crispy fried noodles with beef. Everything was so good especially the egg rolls. Not a lot of places make egg rolls like this. I highly recommend it!The server noticed that my friend and I were sharing food and he came up to us and offered extra plates and also extra utensils. That was very observant and nice of him. What's funny is that the restaurant was playing AI generated songs about the restaurant which was really cute. Definitely a great spot for Vietnamese food in Vietnam Town that's simple yet flavorful."
"I'm not sure how to describe this newish bar on Grand Avenue. How about "whimsically posh" or maybe more accurately "pirate-meets-tiki"? Owners and sisters Narges and Nala Gardizi worked at Trader Vic's in Emeryville for over a decade (review: https://yelp.to/VW8MRIWBIQ), so they know a thing or two about what makes a tiki bar work. With Kona Club right up the street (review: https://yelp.to/g4htOuL2Ue), they probably knew they had to come up with something unique and introduced more of a pirate ship vibe with surreal portraits of humanized animals on the wall. It's too stylish and meticulous to be mistaken for a dive bar, but whatever hybrid it's supposed to be, the sisters succeeded.Jamie W. and I hung around for just one round since customers appeared epoxied to the seats in the back lounge area and the bar itself was getting a bit populated. We chose winners though. Jamie had the $16 Black Tot Grog with bourbon, vanilla liqueur, pineapple, allspice, and intriguingly, activated charcoal (photo: https://yelp.to/HeJ9ZOwMAw).Shiver me timbers, me hearties. I decided to go more tropical with the $13 Coconut Mojito which mixed coconut rum, coconut milk, pineapple, lime, and of course, muddled mint (photo: https://yelp.to/PE0jurlBG7). Both sisters were present and working hard. Their efforts were paying off as we're curious to try their other craft cocktails at a quieter time.DRINKS - 4 stars...superior craft cocktails to bring either your inner pirate or beach bum outAMBIANCE - 4 stars...evocative decor with the unique animal paintings SERVICE - 5 stars...sisters are doin' it for themselvesTOTAL - 4 stars...pirate meets tiki...yepRELATED - Looking for a tiki bar? "Man, I just love this place. I still haven't stayed late enough for the 8PM organ set, but presumably it doesn't consist of selections from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir hymn book but rather jazz numbers that complement their extensive vinyl collection. They open at 4PM during the week, and I showed up not long afterward since I happened to be walking on Mission. The comfortable vibe hit me right away. It was filled with a lot of vintage items including the requisite antelope head, but it didn't feel excessive. I think simply calling it a dive bar marginalizes what owners Paul Morgan and Debbie Horn truly provide here. My interactions have been mostly with Debbie, and she's the real thing, one of the most genuinely friendly bartenders in the city. And hey, I've been served by all kinds around town, and upon a return visit weeks later, she recalled me and where I was from without hesitation. This may be an obscure shut-in reference, but she reminded me of the effervescent Erin Napier, the host of HGTV's "Home Town", just someone whose smile equates to a warm hug. That's not to say Paul is a social slouch. He was busy trying to discourage a high-as-a-kite urban teen from entering the premises. Another reason not to call this a dive is their specialty cocktail menu which reflects their hard-earned years of respective bartending experience. The house cocktails don't disappoint. The $12 Ava Ray's Pina Colada wasn't frozen but quite delicious nonetheless with dark rum, port, pineapple, and coconut (photo: https://yelp.to/wY2XRbfdsc.The $12 Red Margarita caught me by surprise as it combined tequila and agave with pomegranate and raspberries (photo: https://yelp.to/sNqvywHg5L). It was a treat from Debbie, who spent years at Puerto Allegre perfecting it. I was so entranced I later ordered the $13 Backyard Lemon Tree Margarita which I believe took advantage of lemons picked in the welcoming back patio (photo: https://yelp.to/ED3asUmzdP). It ain't gay but I could become a regular.COCKTAILS - 5 stars...they know how to mix their craft cocktails, don't let the casual vibe fool yaAMBIANCE - 5 stars...just love the vintage garage-sale vibeSERVICE - 5 stars...all about DebbieTOTAL - 5 stars...I just need to come back with Jamie W. during organ timeRELATED - Exploring Bernal Heights? "i have been going to bar bay grill for the past two years as a regular and i absolutely adore this place. their $1 oysters on tuesday and thursdays are a steal and i love going during those times. i usually avoid bars since i do not drink but this place's atmosphere does not make it uninviting. you could definitely bring kids and the atmosphere would still be light and fun.honestly there had never been a bad bite from me here.my favorite things are the oysters, garlic bread, wings, garlic fries, samgyeopsal, chicken wings. i love this place to death and it definitely needs more people coming here!"
"I like this place. It's become a standby place for me when I just want a drink or 4. Yes it's a dive bar, but friendly bartenders make great drinks at fair prices. Yes it's a little rough around the edges, but sometimes that's what you want. If that makes you uncomfortable find an Applebees. They stayed open during the pandemic and they've got outdoor places. No complaints here."
"I'm glad I waited a while to write my review of this Tenderloin tavern because my first impression of the place was that it wasn't all that friendly despite the fun historical reference to the self-proclaimed Emperor of These United States based in San Francisco. However, I eventually came back more than once because of its convenient location on Larkin and the fact that they're open at 1PM.Now it's grown to become one of my favorite watering holes in the neighborhood because the bartenders have been more proactive than others. That makes a difference to me because I'm usually alone and coming from somewhere else when I pop by. That's generally excuse enough to ignore me at other spots but not here. Because they don't make espresso martinis, I usually order my general default, the $7 Tequila Sunrise (photo: https://yelp.to/wnnxyqqQD2).One drink provides enough of a refresher for me, two would likely make me a problem even though day drinking could easily lead me on that path, especially if the inviting back patio isn't busy. The availability of shuffleboard and a pool table doesn't make much of a difference to me, but a clear and present bartender does. With that, Bea and the boys draw me back with some regularity indeed.DRINKS - 4 stars...potent mixesAMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...a bit dark and divey but friendly SERVICE - 4 stars...attentive bartenders hereTOTAL - 4 stars...this emperor still has his clothesRELATED - Exploring the Tenderloin? "So I'm sad to say we have been sleeping in this place over the last 6 years! Had no clue it even really existed although I drove past it plenty of times! I honestly thought it was a new establishment until I found out it's been here for a long time! One of my favorite parts of this place was the interior architecture. You can tell from all the crown molding this building has history and has been around a long time! I love it! To me it has a story and I wish I knew what it was. The food is also delicious. I wish I would have known sooner plus they have a super good happy hour menu! We will be back to try that soon. The service was top notch however, we did come when they had literally just unlocked the doors so it was just the two of us. We will have to go back during busier hours and see if it's still as good. All in all definitely worth a try!"

This restaurant is so cute!! Came here on a Monday evening because I was craving a burger and it popped up on Yelp. It's super close and convenient to where I live and is located right behind House of Bagels and next to 7-11. Only downside is that parking is a bit limited. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the cutest little dog sleeping on the floor. The worker told us her name was Barona and that she was friendly and we could pet her. We sat outside in their patio where they had benches and little tables. Ordered the burger (cooked medium) and served with fries. The burger was so juicy and the fries were so good!! Not to mention it came with a lot! They were fresh, crispy, and didn't feel oily or overly salty. We also decided to order the brussel sprouts halfway through eating because they sounded amazing - bacon, cranberries, balsamic reduction... oh my god. It was AMAZING! They were so crispy and the cranberries with the bacon give it that savory with a hint of sweet taste. Will definitely be coming back here soon to try other items on the menu.

I was pleasantly surprised to see The Public Bar in the Public Market, especially since Public Market isn't fully occupied yet. There are a couple of TVs here, and even food menus! I didn't get the chance to order any food, but the option of being able to get other food from the other counters and plop yourself down for a beer, wine, or cocktail is an awesome and efficient use for this space. My partner and I happened to grab a late lunch, and once it extended into the happy hour time (3-6 pm, 9-close), we decided to grab some drinks. Plus, seeing the slushy machines... I'm a sucker for an alcoholic slushy drink! The bartender was awesome, he was manning the bar alone and was very kind to check on the various patrons on how the drinks were and if they wanted a (2nd, 3rd, ...etc) round. Plus $6 for select cocktails?! SUCH A STEAL. Drinks were strong and kinda fruity, and I'm super glad this place is here! And as always, don't drink and drive!

If you're looking for a nice classy joint with strong and well-mixed creative cocktails, Wildhawk does the trick. I was trying to find a high quality establishment to relax before enjoying a dinner at Lazy Bear and am happy to have stumbled upon this spot. Wildhawk was just 1 block away from the restaurant and it ended up being the perfect fit to get a pre-dinner drink.I had myself 2 yummy concoctions:- Old Fashioned- Diving Swallows (the popcorn drink) - Highland Park '12 + Sia Scotches, San Zanj Rum, Galliano Pandan, Coconut Milk, Buttered PopcornExpect to pay about $20 per drink (including tip).

Don't waste your time here. We paid $35 for the comedy show they had upstairs which was actually decent, the comics were good! They asked us to go downstairs while they cleaned up. Later, they refused to let us go back upstairs and tried to make us pay another $20 to go back up, after we were already inside. The security guard is a piece of shit who also tried to manhandle some other perfectly coherent girl who was trying to talk to them.I understand it can get crazy when there's a long line with tonnes of drunk people and security needs to be tough. That was not this place. It was amusing - There were about 10 people in the "club" downstairs with pretty questionable music, and nobody in line to go upstairs at 12 am on a Saturday night. The only reason we attempted to go back up was because we had some friends there already. These were not security people being good at their jobs, these were people that hated their lives and were taking it out on the total of three people trying to get in.Look - None of this matters if the music is sick and the crowd is cool. This place just ain't it - Don't ruin your night with their $20 drinks and needing to be their troubled security guard's therapist - Go to literally any other bar or club in the area and have a better night. I give this place 6 months...

Ceron Kitchen is another wonderful restaurant choice in Alameda. This city's got plenty of local places serving up some tasty grub. How do they all stay in business? Anyways Ceron Kitchen looks good both outside and inside. Nice size parking lot. Outdoor dining and indoor dining available. We dined inside. My sister smartly made reservations ahead of time. Thank goodness because by the time we left they were busy busy busy! Our party of about 13 were the first ones at the restauarant. The place looked terrific!! So clean and charming!!I believe their menu is constantly changing so some of the food that I mention may not be available when you are here. Most everything I tried, though, tasted really good!! This included my drink which came in a pig shaped glass. Very cool!! My favorite appetizers were the Buttermilk Chive Biscuits, the Calamari Fritto, and the American Wagyu Beef Sliders!! My entree choice was the Niman Ranch Burger. It was a good 4 star burger. My expectations may have been too high. I expected the burger to taste better than my favorite hometown burger spot, but Ceron Kitchen's fell short of that. Still good though! I wish that I had chosen one of the many other entrees available that evening. So many of the others in our group were raving about their entrees!!!!Definitely patronize Ceron Kitchen! We all had a really good time at their place!

I came here for a holiday dinner. My anm suggested this place and ordered for us. She definitely has great taste in food because the dishes she picked out were all so good! We ordered a bunch of dishes, kind of like family style, so we were able to try different things. My favorite is the shredded chicken and banana blossom salad. It was so refreshing! And that fish sauce that comes with it goes so well! I definitely kept going back for more. The stir-fried beef tendon with chili paste was also good; I love that kick! The salt-roasted shrimp and squid were also pretty tasty; that crunch... yum! The fried chicken cartilage was good too. The shaking beef macaroni was only okay for me. The beef was soft, but the dish tasted bland. The seafood fried rice was pretty tasty, though! I would come back to try their pho, though. Definitely next time!I tried their sugarcane juice, it was OK. Not to sweet which was nice.

This used to be the libertine, which I loved. The new makeover is cute tho, with some shipwreck and island themed decor. I do appreciate a decent happy hour and the 11 dollar passion fruit daiquiri was quite good (though it was more like a martini than a daiquiri)

Albums, and organs, and cocktails, OH MY! What a treat it was for me to visit the Royal Cuckoo on my visit to San Francisco. I had been told to go because I love live music, particularly jazz music. This dive looking bar has a whole organ inside. The night I went, the organist was accompanied by a fantastic saxophone player. (See posted videos). They threw the house down. The royal cuckoo isn't a very big space but it had a cozy feel. I sat at the bar. The bartenders are fantastic. I knew this would be the place to order a classic/vintage drink. I ordered a whiskey sour and it was delicious. The staff was attentive and greeted everyone wanting a drink within a reasonable amount of time. In between band breaks, the bartenders played vinyl records. Their selection of records was massive. The record the bartender chose was a major vibe. There's something about vinyl that makes the music sound so good. And their set up includes old speakers. It made for the perfect cherry in this intimate space. I can't wait to go back on my next San Francisco trip.

"There aren't a lot of good Indian restaurants in the area, but I did like I did Palace.Staff and Service:- We came here soon after opening time on a Thursday evening and got seated right away. Seats started to fill up around 6:00pm- Our server was very niceFood and Drinks:- Mango Lassi: not the typical mango lassi I've had in the past. Not as creamy as usual - more on the tart side. - Tikka Masala Curry: so good! Creamy, flavorful, abundant, etc. I could have eaten this whole thing by myself - Garlic Naan: also delicious and flavorful- House Salad: this was almost a meal in itself. We thought this would be a small side salad, but there was enough for 3+ peopleMiscellaneous.- Parking is available via street parking (there is a parking lot connected to the restaurant, but this is for the apartments only)- Good for small and large groups - Pretty quiet restaurant"
"The Benton is everything you want in a local bar. The selling point is the eclectic mix of bartenders, all experienced and all genuinely nice. Good mix of regulars and wide age range. Very little jackassery. Pool table. Prices are decent. Good beer selection.(FYI, woman in photo with blood on her NOT happen at Benton and they have video evidence occurred at another place. Yelp makes it way too easy to slander a small business.)"
"Terrific neighborhood bar! Friendly bartenders. Chill vibe. Been coming here for many many years. Prices are reasonable. You can even order food next door and they will deliver it to you in the bar. Great spot!"
"My Grandfather was a WWI Veteran, while my Father and Uncle served in Korea. That's where the Family military line ended, although I've been inside my fair share of VFW and American Legion facilities for various reasons. I visited the Benicia Veterans Memorial Hall to attend a funeral reception for a person I used to work with at the Refinery. Jerry was a Safety Inspector and Fire School trainer, and an accomplished and colorful one at that. They don't make folks like Jerry anymore and it was a privilege to serve with him. This is also a reminder of my own mortality, as I seem to be attending a lot more of these kind of events recently. The front end of the Veterans Memorial Hall was really quiet when I arrived, but I soon discovered that the reception was being held within an appropriately appointed conference room next to bar. The first drink was free for attendees, which I thought was a particularly appropriate way for Jerry to honor his friends. I hung around, chatted with relatives and co-workers, learned a few additional things about him, and most of all paid my respects. I left with a sense of calm and a silent pledge to try to improve my own "game" while I still had the chance."

"Celebrating a special milestone, we went to Iyasare without a reservation ~ we arrived at 5:00p during a weeknight around opening and grabbed an outdoor seat on such a beautiful evening. The vibes were high ~ the exterior had a beautiful scent and loved how tranquil and serene I felt while ordering a spicy marg (delicious!) I noticed there's a beautiful sake menu, wine, Japanese craft beers (and local brews), and mocktails. After seeing an episode of Check, Please! Bay Area on this spot, we had to order the widely popular and signature starter dish, Iyasare kakiage tempura with the black tiger shrimp (lotsa yummy things in here including sweet potato, shiitake, onion, and more). See pics for visual! The texture, flavors, and the bonito soy broth for dipping is quite delicious..I could eat this and be good-to-go, but we wanted to try a few more things from the menu. The dishes are very shareable, so we tried the Chashu miso ramen and the Kara-age Curry Don. The ramen broth was so comforting, same with the curry. I enjoyed the chicken being more nugget-like than strips, made for a fun plate. Such great portion sizes ~ we were on a special outing so we were prepared to pay a bit more for the experience and value.Would love to come back for a date night and try a few sushi rolls, the Bacon Mochi, Little Gem Miso Caesar, and sip Japanese whiskey.Service was great and understanding to baby needs, and metered parking available/lots around 4th street available although usuallyhave to do a few laps unless you get lucky!"

"Night Heron, you're my fave cocktail bar in DT Oakland right now. And for good reason. They have trivia nights on Tuesdays at 8pm! SO FUN. All the bartenders have been so welcoming, friendly, and they totally know what they're doing with the menu. The community is queer-friendly and their restrooms are clean YAS. The crowd is respectful and honestly just here to have a fun time without the sloppiness or unnecessary bougieness.Their menu is easy to navigate, and I loved my Super Brava mezcal and Aloe tequila drink (that is no longer on the current menu). It's dope that they have a revolving menu that has changed over the course of two times that I've been. We love a creative cocktail crew! I have to shoutout Mars who was delightful, made such a delicious off-menu after some begging. Our party of 4 enjoyed our drinks and had such a blast catching up in their gold-accented furniture.Do yourself a favor and check our Night Heron for delicious, affordable cocktails for that millennial crowd aesthetic. They have indoor plants in their front seating area, lots of lounge and swivel chairs for groups and cute date/couples. There's also lots of bar seating, and I've always enjoying having space at the bar and limited wait at the bar. The music isn't even loud and you can ACTUALLY hear what people are saying! The aesthetic is softly/dim lit with neon lights and gold-accented furniture that feels just the right amount of cozy without getting too "just like home" comfortable."

"It was my first visit to this lovely, clean, and upstanding Mexican restaurant located right at the border of San Leandro and Oakland on E.14th St. the lunch was delicious and well presented. My combo of pork enchilada, pork tamale, and chicken flauta was absolutely amazing! Our waitress was kind and attentive upon our arrival as we sat down and brought us salsa and chips which was fire! My bf ordered the super steak wet burrito and we couldn't believe the size of it! To top it off he said there was no fat or gristle in the meat which made it more enjoyable. I ate all my food in appreciation of the wonderful hands of the chef who prepared it. I will definitely return to try more dishes and cannot wait to be overwhelmingly satisfied. Give them a try, and thank me later!"

"We had a fantastic dining experience at One Ten Restaurant & Bar in American Canyon. I ordered the Grilled New York Steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and it was cooked to perfection--juicy, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. My husband had the Short Rib, which was incredibly tender and packed with rich, savory flavor. We brought friends from Vacaville who had dined here back when it was Junction Brewery, and they were pleasantly surprised by the transformation. "Everything was a TEN!!!! I've been wanting to try this place for awhile. Ma and I decided to get a late lunch on a Saturday. The place is sort of small, but it was only about a 5 minute wait for a table. There's a full bar with seating and bigger tables for larger parties as well. I have to sayyyyy. THE ENTIRE STAFF AIMS TO PLEASE! Everyone was so warm & welcoming. Chris made sure we had everything we needed and was super friendly. Okay so for food we got:2 chicken wings with a waffle , Mac and cheese, greens, and yams. Literally all delicious. The fried chicken was some of the best I've ever had , the Mac & cheese tasted like my cousins who makes it every year for thanksgiving because it's bomb, and the greens were fresh. The yams were perfection. Perfectly sweetened. This is probably the best meal Ma & I had during her visit to California (and she was here visiting me for 2 weeks). What I appreciated is that all of the food came out HOT and ready to eat. Also the prices are fair. Next time i have to try the peach cobbler, I will def be back. Make sure you check this spot out. I have to shout out to whoever's playlist was on. They were playing old school r&b and afrobeats. My fav."
"A Perfect Oakland CelebrationEvery so often, you stumble upon a dining experience that reminds you why Oakland is so special--and this was one of those nights. From start to finish, the meal was flawless. This is an updated review- 8 years later since my earlier review is from 8 years ago and I don't know why I haven't reviewed since because I have been back but not a notable occasion. The calamari starter set the tone, crisp and tender. The Brussels sprouts, elevated with Parmesan, were an absolute standout. The pear salad was perfectly tossed, fresh and balanced. For mains, the pizza with mushrooms and fennel sausage delivered on every level, and the linguine vongole was a dream--light, flavorful, and brimming with clams. I brought my 21 year old Jordan Cabernet so I didn't order wine but they have a very good wine selection. Dessert was the ultimate ending: a ricotta cheesecake with a key lime twist, accompanied by pomegranate sauce and whipped cream--simply divine. The service was everything you'd hope for: top-notch, welcoming, and delightfully cheery. This is a family friendly place. There were folks of all family dynamics here tonight; the restaurant decor festive for the occasion. And plenty of parking that feels secure and safe. Special shoutout to our magnificent server, Conor, who made our visit feel extra special. This meal was a beautiful reminder of how extraordinary Oakland is and always will be, a city full of incredible food, community, and vibrance. A true celebration of everything Oakland has to offer."
"My fiancé and I came here last Sunday in the early evening. There were only a few people working the front so it took a while for us to get seated. Despite there not being a lot of staff, our food actually came out pretty quickly. The bar seats were full and there were some other parties at the tables. I ordered the Classic Plate - beef brisket with Mac and cheese and coleslaw. The brisket was tender and the Mac and cheese was good. The coleslaw was okay for me. My fiance had Three's a Crowd with the beef brisket, ribs, and beef links with Brussels sprouts and coleslaw. He seemed to like them. The pink lemonade was too sweet but the ginger ale was refreshing. I also ordered the banana pudding and that was great! I had to take it home because I was too full and it held up well the next day."
"Great atmosphere and owner is a doll everyone here really does know your name! We love coming here for a relaxing night out"
"This is a great little hidden gem. We went there for a going away party on a weekday afternoon. Lots of parking. Accommodated our large group really well (30 or so people). The food was good and the view of the water was really nice. The large windows gave it a spacious feel. We enjoyed watching the bridge go up and down for boats. There is outdoor seating as well. The drinks were strong (at least mine was), and the staff were good about restocking the food (we had a buffet style feast). Hope to come back again and sit outside on a nice day."
"A solid lunch spot. My team frequently comes here for our lunch outings. You can easily make reservations, but we also never have a problem doing walk-in for lunch. The inside is huge and nicely decorated. They maintain the place very well and you can tell that this family-owned business cares about their workers and community. All the staff I've encountered are happy and provide great customer service. I find the menu a little intimidating because there's so much to choose from! I love their burgers though!!"
"Bomb, per usual! Service was great and the environment is always chill. Got the Dinner for Two and loved every bite. We love this place!!"
"I was in town for an overnight work trip and was meeting a local friend for brunch. She suggested this restaurant and it was an easy 5 minute walk from my hotel ( the Residence Inn Berkeley).I love the Asian fusion Vibe of the menu and it was a hard decision as so many things looked unique and delicious. I went with the Beef Bulgogi Benedict minus the English muffins underneath. They came with the most deliciously crispy potatoes and it was EGGcellent! And you know I had to get the Ube latte (with soy milk). The Latte was not too sweet which I appreciated. Our server was friendly and attentive and our order was right. My friend got the brussel sprout hash (which was going to be my second choice) and it was equally tasty. She got the coconut latte which was made with coconut milk and not real Dairy and she loved both. I would definitely come back"
