"Review #002 - 2025I haven't written too many reviews lately since I feel like--unless a business really warrants a great review or a really poor review then I'm kind of wasting my time.I used to write reviews because I enjoyed the interaction with other Yelpers; but lately, Yelp just doesn't have that same community feel from when I first started.However, that shouldn't stop me from writing an honest review when a business deserves to be commended on their food/service.My two sisters and I showed up with our 3 daughters on Friday, February 21, around 5 PM.We were greeted and seated immediately.The place was pretty slow since it was still early for dinner so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves.Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. I didn't ask her name, but she's a cute young Asian girl, who always had a smile on her face.We ordered quite a few items to share.My older sister and two nieces each ordered the wagyu burger, which they all said was made to their liking.We had the pa'ina wings which were really tasty.The salt and pepper wings were a little salty for my preference, but the kids seemed to enjoy them.We had an order of regular fries and garlic fries, which we all enjoyed a little too much, considering we're all suppose to be eating "healthy".We ordered the garlic noodz with seafood and that was pretty tasty as well.The garlic butter shrimps were our least favorite because the shrimp had a weird smell, like it was drenched in lighter fluid, but the kitchen tried to make us a new order and it still came out smelling the same so they were kind enough to just remove it from our bill.The poke nachos arrived late, but we still enjoyed it. My sister ended up taking the rest home for her husband.The manager was very sweet! She brought the kids some complimentary pineapple Dole whip as an apology for the shrimp fiasco and sang "happy birthday" to our 16th year old niece.The whole experience was very memorable! We'll try to return should we ever happen to be in the area.Our waitress took some photos for us with their Instagram-worthy wall :)"

You can make a reservation at "open table" if you plan to be there between peak hours.In $55 (before tip), we got:- your choice of 2 topping pizza - 4/5 - we got jalapeño, mushroom, olives. Bell peppers. They charged $1 for each extra topping. The pizza was loaded with veggies on a thin but tender crust.- veggie primavera pasta - 5/5 - we swapped the sauce from creamy white to vodka sauce for an extra charge and it was totally worth it. Bomb pasta and heavy/ huge portion size. Good to share!- garlic bread with cheese - 4/5 - huge portion and good quality cheese. I wish they added some herbs/ etc too on it to add a kick- complimentary sour dough rolls 5/5 are served on request. Loved it! - garden green salad - 4/5 - side plate of salad with greens, carrots, a big tomato slice and vinegar drenched onions. "Came here for a happy hour and it was a great place to hang out! The vibe is cozy for any size. The outdoor area looked fun to be at when the weather's nice. There was a huge selection of drinks and everything was reasonably priced. The service was quick and friendly. Their shots are huge, like two shots per cup. The pours of the beers are to the very rim of the cup.It's connected to a spot with french fries and tenders which were amazing. Maybe because I was buzzed but they went so well with the drinks.If I lived nearby, I'd come by more often with friends! Definitely recommend."

"i have been going to bar bay grill for the past two years as a regular and i absolutely adore this place. their $1 oysters on tuesday and thursdays are a steal and i love going during those times. i usually avoid bars since i do not drink but this place's atmosphere does not make it uninviting. you could definitely bring kids and the atmosphere would still be light and fun.honestly there had never been a bad bite from me here.my favorite things are the oysters, garlic bread, wings, garlic fries, samgyeopsal, chicken wings. i love this place to death and it definitely needs more people coming here!"

My family has been coming here for years and no matter what you order from the menu the food is beyond expectation. This time I even ordered the grilled chicken taco salad and loved it! I had some concern before getting my dish bc I didn't know if it would be bland or boring (side note: I typically I don't order a salad at a Mexican restaurant (like come on) but I wanted something light bc my stomach wasn't feeling great the night before). The salad was so filling and so colorful -- I was impressed. My belly thanked me for choosing the safer choice. The service was great and our group was consistently checked on. Not to mention the amount of space we had to catch up and share stories was perfect (we were not competing against loud noise). Anytime I'm in the east bay and crave Mexican food, I'll be here. What's not to love?"

Place opens at 10am and was empty...it's unfortunate as the interior is beautiful and aesthetically gorgeous (Modern Mission style) from the former business (Otaez Mexican Restaurant). *sigh* The vibe almost transports you to dining in the City without going across the bridge and circling for parking. The menu is creative and interesting so plenty of items to try. Options for brunch: eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, simple breakfast with coffee cake and sandwiches. I opted for the French dip sandwich which was presented well and enjoyed the accompanying potato salad. Though good I probably wouldn't order again and try a seafood dish .Friends enjoyed their dishes and what really finished off the meal was the chocolate silk dessert. Light chocolate mousse with a chocolate-crust with varying textures of chocolate gelato, candied hazelnut and chocolate tuile.Our server/host was the Owner/Executive Chef Juan Jaquez - very welcoming, engaging, and mentioned he formerly was head chef at Paradiso, San Leandro for 15 years....i knew the food was different after the pandemic and time he left to open Ceron! I really enjoyed the food when he was there and will have to return to Ceron to try their dinner service. Service was efficient and attentive even after more people arrived.Place is a great venue for a special occasion and meet up with friends. I'd definitely return to try some of their appetizers and eyeing the Berkshire Pork chop. Everything looks delicious albeit pricing on the higher side with like spots. Nevertheless, I'll give it a try if Juan is in charge of dinner service! :) Parking lot in back with metered street parking. Outdoor patio up front (facing Webster) and bar area is great when weather permits or if you have a pet. Highly recommend visiting Ceron!"

"I have been enjoying Touch of Soul for several years, at the former San Pablo location. I finally made it to Touch of Soul at the new(ish) location on Adeline in Emeryville. It was excellent! The food was spot on with all dishes cooked with aplomb. It seemed better than ever. Had the 1/2 fried chicken and it is always sooo good. They do not rely on the batter to make it tasty as too many others do. Their chicken is battened perfectly but it is not the only gem. Skin is always super crispy and the meat cooked to perfection. Big flavor, juicy meat, and really not greasy. My sides were the mac, brussel sprouts and dressing with gravy. Last night the dressing was the stand out. They make it with noticeable sweetness which is the best match with their rich and savory gravy. My only issue with TOS (a personal pet peeve) is they never returned to real plates and actual silverware. All you can get even for dine-in are plastic utensils. However This is meaningless when the food is just that dam goodTOS has always been a delightful group of people and that continues to be the case. They are always so kind and welcoming. I will go eat at places where staff treats me like crap if the food is real good. But at TOS this is never an issue. Just wonderful to eat outstanding fare while feeling like you are with family. (Well, at least with the parts of the family that are chilI, not the ones that are all fucked up and crazy.)TOS FTW!!"

"Came here for a team lunch and it was a great find! I got this confused with the other Monkey Thai where I didn't have the best experience, but this place is completely different. The waitress was busy but prompt. Super friendly and sweet. Their lunch specials are the way to go! You get an app, meal, and a drink for about $20. It's plenty of food too! Everything was tasty. Service was fast. The music was a bit loud, but they must have noticed and turned it down midway through. Also, it got busy and poor waitress didn't have any help so it took awhile to get our bill and some boxes. All in all, it was a great experience and I wouldn't mind coming here again for a good portion lunch plate."

"My husband picked El Patio for his birthday dinner on Sunday, Jan. 12th. He saw they had chicken mole and he was excited to try theirs. I had a two item dinner plate with a cheese enchilada and chile relleno, which was a good portion of food and delicious. My husband was happy with his mole, sweet and a little spicy. My adult daughter had their chicken soup, which she enjoyed. I convinced my family we wanted a pitcher of margaritas, and wow! it was definitely a value for three people. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. While it seemed they had quite a few diners for a Sunday night, there was not a wait and it was not noisy--both a plus. What made my husband's dinner even more special was the great service we received from all of the young people working at El Patio: everyone was genuinely pleasant, they checked on us regularly and the service was perfect. We will definitely be visiting El Patio more often."

"Zio Fraedo's has a low key ambiance. Bar in the middle with tables surrounding it. Our server was excellent and attentive. He was also the bartender so he was working his butt off! We ordered the Zio Fraedo's appetizer platter, it was delicious! Everything fried and seasoned to perfection. For drinks I ordered the Birds of Paradise, tasted like I was on vacation! It's a sweet drink so if you like more tart drinks it's not for you. For main entrees we ordered linguine and clams and chicken and shrimp Carbonara. The linguine and clams was very flavorful and light. Unfortunately, the Carbonara was bad. It didn't look like a traditional Carbonara when it came out and it certainly didn't taste good. The server was understanding and took it off our bill without any questions. We will definitely be coming back but just not for the Carbonara."

"We have staycationed at Ameswell twice and eaten at Roger both times. I really like the restaurant, and my husband and I were just saying we should come back even when we aren't staying at the hotel. It's one of the most family friendly restaurants I have been to, but to make it even better the food and drinks are great as well. The atmosphere is very relaxed and because the restaurant is indoor-outdoor, kids can easily go back and forth between the table and grassy area (with cornhole, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four). On our recent visit, we ordered 2 kids meals. The butter pasta was good but cooked al dente so it was a little firm for our 1-year-old (but perfectly fine for our older daughter). The fruit salad had strawberries and blackberries which was great - it wasn't just melon! The pizza is more like a flatbread than a traditional pizza just FYI and the chocolate chip cookies were really good! I like how the kids drink can be milk, apple juice, lemonade, orange juice, or a Shirley temple. The adults enjoyed the margherita flatbread, berry salad, and skewers. The skewers were actually from the yakitori grill but we brought them back to eat at our table. I think they are only available on the weekends. Be sure to take advantage of the happy hour. It's 4-6pm even on weekends and drinks were 20% off when we went. Service is friendly and food comes out fairly quickly. 5 stars all the way!"

"My first time to Three.One Four Pizzeria was wonderful! My friend canceled our reservation due to the bad weather but a few of us rallied and ended up going after all. The manager was very flexible and allowed us to dine even though officially they didn't have availability. The manager gave us a time limit but we never felt rushed and was able to stay much longer than originally given. The service was excellent. I was excited that this restaurant is located in the old Lalime's restaurant. The 5:00 pm-6:30 pm Happy Hour is an amazing value at $5 for their craft cocktails and $7 for a glass of wine. We ordered a Bella, Fiamma, and Espresso Martini. All three were delicious and didn't disappoint! They looked beautiful too. Regularly priced at $16, these cocktails were a steal of a deal! For dinner, we ordered the Mixed Chicory salad, the Baked Pasta special of the day, and the A Little Spicy pizza. Everything tasted fresh and so delicious!!! We ate family style and shared everything. For dessert, we ordered the Tiramisu for dessert. It's their signature dessert and they prepare it at the table. It was fun to watch and was tasty but I prefer the more traditional Tiramisu. Still, I was glad we ordered it. Because the dinner was so fantastic, I made reservations for another special birthday celebration. Unfortunately on the afternoon of the dinner, I received a call from Brandon Wilson, the restaurant owner, letting me know that the restaurant had just closed due to unforeseen circumstances. I would have liked a longer notice as I had to scramble to find another restaurant. However, I know it was probably difficult for the restaurant to decide to close. I really hope that they will reopen in the near future! I feel bad for the restaurant because this is the season when people are out to celebrate and are looking for quality restaurants."

"Needed a place to go that was dog friendly in the evening. Found this place. It's kind of hidden because it's not on a main road, but it's next to walmart. There's a lot of parking. When I arrived I wasn't sure where to go. It's not obvious where to enter for the back patio with the dogs. I went inside to ask and was told that I could enter with them through the restaurant. This place is connected to a casino. The back patio has artificial grass that has giant jenga and connect four. it also has a few cabana areas with a fire pit. I came in the evening and there were a lot of mosquitoes. Otherwise I would have stayed longer. The only food I ordered was sweet potato fries. They were crispy and the portion was good. I was surprised. I ordered a mocktail that tasted like pina colada. I was shocked it had popping boba in it. I thought it was so random. My husband wanted to order a tequila cocktail but they were out of the ingredients. The staff is very dog friendly. I do wish they brought out the water bowl for my doggies as promised though!"

It's pretty spacious with plenty of seating mostly for cliques of young barhoppers.I sat at the bar since I'm not a young hipster. The craft cocktail was extensive and intriguing with specialties focused on martinis and vermouth. The bartender was super friendly and queried me about my recent and upcoming travels. I tried a couple of the house cocktails in relatively quick succession. "Great place for lunch. How come we haven't stopped by sooner? We wanted to try something new and somewhere close by. So, we ended up here. We've driven and walked by many times, but it didn't look that great. Today was our chance to check it out. We walked by the outside diners and went inside. There was no line. We were instructed that the specials were on the sign and the other dishes are on the other side. It took us a bit to figure out what the other side meant. It was at the other end of the line. There was a pile of menus. Today's special was a taco salad for $14. It came out huge and delicious. I'd order it again. It was made with butter lettuce, half of an avocado, and a pile of beans and meat.I got the bean and cheese burrito for around $9. It was big and delicious. The tortilla was the perfect texture and size and it was folded perfectly. We ate outside and it was great ambiance due to the great weather.We'll return."

They have a Yelp Waitlist, but as we arrived early around 5:30pm, there was still plenty of available seating and no wait necessary. Service was very friendly and helpful, and our waitress made sure to run us through how to order. She recommended ordering the soup base first, which I highly recommend to everyone while you're deciding the rest of your order. As the base does take a bit to heat up.We opted for the House Special Colagen Pork Marrow Broth, which was VERY rich and flavorful. Highly recommend this one if you're uncertain which to choose. The charge the soup by the number of people at the table, even though everyone is just sharing one pot. They have several platter combos to choose from, which are much more economical than choosing individually. We opted for the meatball platter, which had a nice mixture of different protein types within. And ordered several meat and veggie plates separately to supplement. All of the ingredients were very fresh, and tasted great! And the sauce station had a nice, diverse amount of sauce options and condiments to mix and match from. At the end of your meal, you can even ask for a take-out container to take home the delicious broth!The place did start to fill up quickly as we progressed through dinner, so it is recommended to come early."

Luckily we were able to find a spot on the street close to the restaurant.The restaurant itself has an outdoor patio where live music and DJ's perform ( the DJ performing last night was really good) and tables to sit down at indoors.For our meal, each of us got our own plates and some things to share.For the appetizers, the Fried Breadfruit was really interesting. The fruit itself did indeed have a bready consistency which was actually kinda trippy. But it tasted great - it was almost smokey, with a little bit of salt added on top and a light sweetness from the fruit. The Festivals were pretty good - They tasted like deep fried breads with a hint of cinnamon. The taste was decent but they were a little too dense for my liking.For Entrees - I got the Brown Chicken Stew Plate, my girlfriend got the rasta pasta, and our friend got the oxtail. One thing to note for each of our entrees - portions are extremely Generous. You'll definitely get your money's worth of food here.The Brown Chicken stew was very solid - it reminded me of what I used to get back on the east coast. The chicken was perfectly tender, and the brown sauce was extra savory. The plantains on the side along with the rice peas went well with the stew sauce. I found that adding a little bit of hot sauce brought it all together nicely.The Oxtail, from what I tried, was also very delicious. They were cooked properly and were also tender and the flavoring was perfect.The Rasta pasta (one of the only vegetarian Items on the menu - they did not have the Ital menu available) left a bit to be desired for sure. It was very turmeric forward, and not quite what I expected based on what I've seen of Rasta Pasta in the past. My girlfriend said that adding some extra seasoning and some of the hot sauce made it better for sure.All in all, Mintos is a spot that has good service and solid quality Jamaican/ Caribbean food. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try.4/5"

The food was very very good, as well as the signature cocktails. ( I had a blue berry vodka gin Bramble) yum! We enjoyed grilled salmon that was Beautifully plated. Our friends had the chicken with risotto and chili on top with Mexican cheese they absolutely loved this dish... The Caesar salad was also very delicious.... They also offer a wonderful patio however it was very chilly last night so we ate in their main dining room... We will definitely eat here again before we leave the Silverado resort..."

"It was my first visit to this lovely, clean, and upstanding Mexican restaurant located right at the border of San Leandro and Oakland on E.14th St. the lunch was delicious and well presented. My combo of pork enchilada, pork tamale, and chicken flauta was absolutely amazing! Our waitress was kind and attentive upon our arrival as we sat down and brought us salsa and chips which was fire! My bf ordered the super steak wet burrito and we couldn't believe the size of it! To top it off he said there was no fat or gristle in the meat which made it more enjoyable. I ate all my food in appreciation of the wonderful hands of the chef who prepared it. I will definitely return to try more dishes and cannot wait to be overwhelmingly satisfied. "I love this dive bar!! I hope they will be able to open up again after the pandemic! They usually had a DJ every Saturday and he knew how to get the people to enjoy their time for sure. The bartender makes some good drinks and has specials of her own or can make whatever you ask for if it was available. There are a few pool tables so something else to do if you didn't want to dance.I so want to come back again!!"

"Came here with a friend and as I am Hispanic my review mite be a lil biast. This bar does cater to the Hispanic community ,but there are also a few caucasian males who enjoy this bar. Yes, plenty of girls here to drink with. As far as I know not prostitutes just working for beer and tips. It is a long narrow hallway with some pool tables. Bring cash, buy buckets of beer and get drunk with a lovely lady if that is what you are into. Not as bad as these other reviewers proclaim! Yes, I would go back if in the area and wanted to get drunk. P.S. ask for bathroom key"
