"Just like its name, the food here is absolutely amazing! This place is super close to my home, and I've passed by so many times without trying it, now I wish I had known sooner just how incredible it is. Everything we ordered was delicious! The portions are huge, so depending on your appetite, one dish can easily be shared between two people. We had the house-made garlic bread, and wow, even Italian restaurants could take notes from this place! We also tried the vegetable laksa noodle soup, chicken lemongrass noodle soup, Thai Massaman fried chicken with rice, and Massaman shrimp with rice, all absolutely fantastic. For drinks, we ordered a round of boba drinks, and I loved the crème brûlée one! Mine was super sweet since I ordered it at 100% sugar, but I'd definitely recommend cutting it to 50% for a perfect balance. The staff was polite, the ambiance was cozy, and just a heads-up, come early because the wait times can be long. Highly recommend this spot, and I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!"
"I love sushi, but it's expensive, so I don't go out often to enjoy it. We arrived here about thirty minutes before they closed. The restaurant was empty, so we were seated right away. As with many sushi restaurants, the menu was extensive and it was difficult to decide what to get. We settled on the spicy salmon roll, Rainbow roll, and soft shell crab appetizer - nothing fancy. They brought out some complimentary miso soup and it was too salty to finish, so we took a few sips and set it aside. They brought out the spicy salmon roll and rainbow roll before the appetizer, which I guess was ok, but I would have preferred it the other way around. Anyway, the fish was mediocre - nothing special or memorable. It got the job done. The soft-shell crab appetizer was overcooked. They must have fried it for too long to the point where the crab was chewy. This appetizer was so greasy it was difficult to finish. They made no secret that they were in a rush to close the restaurant, giving me my check and reminding me they were closing the doors in five minutes. This is my second time to this restaurant, and I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to come back unless I was in the area and they were one of the only places open. Like I said, the food wasn't bad, but it also didn't taste that fresh either compared to other sushi restaurants I've been to across the Bay Area. Quality was right in the middle. I would recommend people try this place, but certainly don't go out of your way for it."

"Poki Run has truly ruined it for myself when it comes to my poke cravings. No other place can compare, especially when it comes to taste and quality of that sushi rice. Let's be real- if your rice is trash, the meal itself couldn't possibly be any better when it comes to this type of dish. Poki Run is a bit of a drive compared to a couple of poke spots located a lot closer to home but I'd easily make the trip. 5/5 stars!! Seafood, protein, and ingredients are always fresh, tasty, and the pricing is 100% justified. Flavorings as a whole is always spot on and satisfies all my cravings completely. Having a few recent fails at other establishments have only solidified my love and high praises for PR."
"Came here with my friends since they recommended it and I'm so glad I was introduced to here! I never tried Burmese food prior to this and i was not disappointed. I loved their tea leaf and rainbow salad! They also have happy hours when you can get these for a little cheaper which is great. Staff was also kind and constantly checked in with us to see if we needed anything. Their desserts I would rate a 3/5 tho"
"I love this place!! my goto spot in willow glen area-- Best viet restaurant in the area ! Esp if you don't want to drive all the way to Tully/ story / grand century area !! All the dishes I've tried here have been good !! - Bun Bo hue : 10/10** spicy anddddddd really good . On par with an nam and bun Bo hue spot near grand century - Com Bo luc lac with garlic tomato rice : 10/10* sooooo goooood. Medium rare steak with garlic tomato rice and fish sauce - Pho : 10/10 * I have tried the pho yet but my friends and family said it's good Service : 10/10* quick , attentive, easy goingDecor: clean and modern ; not the typical viet restaurant. They even decorated for the holidays ( Halloween and Xmas ) super cute Would come back ( which I have multiple times already )"
"i have been going to bar bay grill for the past two years as a regular and i absolutely adore this place. their $1 oysters on tuesday and thursdays are a steal and i love going during those times. i usually avoid bars since i do not drink but this place's atmosphere does not make it uninviting. you could definitely bring kids and the atmosphere would still be light and fun.honestly there had never been a bad bite from me here.my favorite things are the oysters, garlic bread, wings, garlic fries, samgyeopsal, chicken wings. i love this place to death and it definitely needs more people coming here!"
"Recent discovery of this fusion Halal spot thanks to my Pakistani Sista from another Motha.. Love it! I was told this place is very popular in her community and I can taste why. I ordered the crispy chicken burger with madrasa fries and it was absolutely delicious. Not only was the coating crispy, the chicken inside was juicy and well seasoned, not oily. The fries were "meaty" & had a good kick to it with their house wing sauce. But you must enjoy it fresh, best at dine in. My friend had the Sheezan Club with regular fries. Its one of her regular favs. We sat and talked from open to close, service was attentive enough that my friends chai was refilled multiple times at ask. Easy to wave down wait staff when needed. Minimal Décor. The restaurant was steadily busy and seemed like everyone knew each other. Very friendly atmosphere. Inside seating behind small doorway feels a lot cooler than outside. Perhaps there's AC in the back? I was feeling a bit warm/stuffy at one point as I was seated in main dining area. Not a big bother though as the food was good. Parking is plenty. Restaurant is in the last space all the way down the driveway. Can easily miss the driveway to plaza if not paying full attention."
"I've seen Curry Kona in the large shopping center on Hopyard and decided to give them a try. Going in not having a clue what was served, realized it's essentially an Indian Chipotle style concept. You choose a base ie.. rice bowl wrap etc.. then a protein then toppings. There are tons of choices on the menu board and the counter all with an Indian name. (No description) So we wound up taking our best guess at what the items were. Lamb Keena because we knew the word lamb and Chicken Marsala because we heard that before. They actually microwave to heat up the food. The rice bowls are $12. Minimal service. Plastic bowls and utensils. The lamb Keena was good. The chicken Marsala was not. Plenty of parking. "Better description of the offerings would definitely be helpful""
"BRING BACK TOM YUM SOUP BROTH. As frequenters who actually completed 3 loyalty cards between 2 people we ask nicely please, bring back tom yum soup. The new sukiyaki broth that replaced it is too sweet and the sweet and sour tomato broth gave me a horrible acid reflux. After they removed tom yum we tried it a couple more times but even the variety of the ingredients decreased. Sadly, we won't be coming back anytime soon. Maybe maybe maybe"
"The portions were good for sharing. One plate is enough for two people. The sweet basil rice was strong in basil flavor. There was a good mix of chicken and rice. The eggplant was soft under all the pork with only a few pieces of shrimp. The taste was a new taste for me!Always great to try new dishes. Our waiter was very nice!"
"Went here for lunch with the boss man and absolutely enjoyed everything I ate!True rating 4.5THE GOOD° Lemon Chicken lunch dish- absolute BANGER! - The crisp on the chicken was on point, the lemon sauce had depth, and it had actual lemons served with it° Even the salad was super enjoyable because of the dressing/sauce° Miso soup was made well. Don't consider myself a miso soup connoisseur.° Personally I liked the decor. Old doors, old artifacts... But still feeling clean and modern° Service was good and easy to call over when needed.- you could tell they took care of their older clientele, the usuals, very well and caring.THE BAD° Nothing that I could noteTHE UGLYNone"
"We love this local Vietnamese restaurant!Service is very fast and clean.I love the variety in Vietnamese soup dishes since there's so much more to explore other than pho but the pho is also so good here!!10/10 would recommend"

Delicious food in a pretty, charming restaurant. Dropped by on a Sunday afternoon with my brother and we were seated right away. The place wasn't too packed but there were a number of parties already seated. The menu is pretty extensive, so be prepared to be perusing for a while. I went with the Thai massaman curry with grilled beef ($16.50), the black pepper garlic noodles ($12.00), and the twins berry jasmine boba ($6.00). Everything had to be ordered via QR code, which I am absolutely tired of.Another knock against this place: the service. While the food came out in a decent amount of time, the drinks were unacceptably slow. I was already halfway through my meal before they came to the table, and I'd already asked for them twice. When the waitress brought my entrees, I asked if I could add a Coke to my order. She said no problem. And then the waiting game began for reasons I can't explain. They were at least apologetic when they finally arrived because they recognized the wait was significant, but I got no explanation for why it took so long.Service in general was super transactional, likely due to the QR system where the waitresses are reduced to just dropping your food in front of you and disappearing. That's not an excuse for not coming around to check on guests and ask if they need anything, which wasn't happening at all anywhere in the restaurant. They didn't seem busy to the point where this wasn't a reasonable expectation. The food was worth it though. The curry was rich and flavorful, the beef was tender with that delicious grill char, and the garlic noodles had a great peppery taste and weren't too overwhelmingly garlicky. I just wish they'd used regular potatoes in the curry instead of the sweet potatoes, which were too sweet and too soft and didn't seem like a good pairing with this dish. The boba was a generous size and was just so good. Not too sweet, great berry mix, and the boba had a good chew.I'd actually be ok with coming back here again because the food and boba were genuinely memorable and there's much more on the menu I'd like to try. But next time, my expectations surrounding service will be much lower.

Ok so I started a new job and for lunch they wanted to take me out I chose Kazuma After eating I didn't feel bad but once I got home from work I started feeling illI thought due to me changing my diet recently (not having red meats) maybe it was due to that Really bad runs all night I've been fasting for 24 hours before having a meal this was the only food I ate after my fastNext day I wanted to go out for lunch againSo I decided sushi would be healthy again and I was feeling slightly better Man I pull up They food inspector was leaving and had placed a closed sign on the door due to them failing the inspection While he was walking away the woman was chasing him down pleading While that was happening The main chef very very angrily ripped the closed sign off the door!Like he was gunna disregard the inspectors decision Back to the lady hostessShe's begging the inspector Then another cook runs up to him as what I could see trying to bribe him Then he talks at them he's is going to call the police and to stay away at from him The chef comes out yells hella loudly at the woman and then the inspector enters his vehicle Would not eat here No wonder I didn't feel good They weee closed down for a good reason Idk if I should consider a lawyer lol

I LOVE POKI RUNNN!!! It beats Poke House slightly because they offer up to five scoops and have a variety in their menu. I usually go for the bowls, and the biggest win for me is how consistently fresh the fish is, along with their great variety of sauces! In the bowl pictured, I opted for unagi and decided to try the blueberry mayo. Initially, I was skeptical (because blueberry mayo?!), but it adds a light, unexpected sweetness without being overpowering. The restaurant is spacious with lots of seating, the staff is always welcoming, and the area is kept clean. Highly recommend! I come here often and will definitely keep coming back :)

Came to this place yesterday on a whim. I was delighted to see that the staff were super friendly, attentive, and passionate about what they do. They were always checking on us to make sure the quality of everything was good and that we were enjoying ourselves. Our group of four enjoyed our booth which gave us a bit more privacy in this semi intimate setting. We ordered quite a few things and every dish was a hit. The dishes here are super flavorful which I LOVED. I would absolutely come back, and recommend this spot to others!

This is now my favorite place to go for Pho. I ordered the combination and there's a substantial amount if meat in it. Good food, fast service, and glad to find it in my neighborhood. Would try their other selections next time.

Fresh oysters are great. Especially good deal on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also like the seaweed salad. Corn cheese is too stiff once a little cooled, needs to add more mayo or cream.

Had this more than 3 years ago and I come back EVERY TIME I'm in the area because it's that good. The concept is like subway/chipotle but the flavors are phenomenal and the Kati rolls (managers special for two) are *chef's kiss* in terms of crispy/chewiness outer dough layer. Idk what this is but I love it and seriously wonder where else I can get this/why it's not more widely used as a bread/dough. I get a paneer flavor and a chicken flavor Kati roll each time I come. This time I got Paneer Achari and chicken shahi but I think the paneer masala was better. Comfortable inside and outdoor seating. Love! Must try if you're in the area.Ordered by preference per chicken and paneer:- Chicken Shahi (quite good juicy and flavorful)- Chicken Tandoori (I think these last two were drier but still flavorful)- Chicken MasalaNormally I like paneer more because it's softer- Paneer Masala (I think I had this before and liked it better)- Paneer Achari (tomato based sauce, spicy, not my fav)This cute song was playing: Bheegi Si Bhaagi Si (From "Raajneeti") by Pritam, Mohit Chauhan & Antara Mitra

"I was happy to find this place open till 8:00pm on Thanksgiving day (an hour earlier than their normal business hours, but good enough for me). Ordered for pickup in advance. The restaurant had a cute atmosphere with indoor seating, no one dining in on this holiday evening, not surprisingly, but a handful of takeout orders were neatly bagged and sitting on the table, my order ready when I arrived. The staff grabbed my bag and politely handed it to me, a simple and smooth process.I really enjoyed the baked lobster roll, with shrimp and crab meat and a lobster mix (large flavorful chunks), and a nice kick from the spicy mayo. It was so delicious, and a decent size for a meal. Wow, I sometimes feel like all sushi spots are fairly the same, but this one stood out to me with the quality and taste. It was definitely memorable, and makes me wanna come back for more."
"The Pho broth was quite yummy and the Bahn Mi was fresh and tasty. Our food came out quite quickly and the seating area was quiet and had good atmosphere. We loved the lighting and the indoor/outdoor vibes."
"Finallly got to try this place and let me tell you, yes it is pricy BUT the food is delicious and fresh. Ambiance:We asked for outdoors since it was a nice day. It does seem like they have a lot of room indoors and a decent outdoor seating. The staff is great and prompt. Food:- shrimp toast - 5/5 this is a must get trust me. - pork & shrimp sui mai - 5/5 stuffed meaty and juicy- chili pork dumpling - 4/5 good just wish it was spicier- XLB - 5/5 so good- wagyu beef gyoza - 3/5 sadly nothing to special I could skip this- vegan fried rice - 5/5 seasons and really good"
"One of the best restaurants in the Bay Area. The Berkeley location just hits different! When we walked in I saw Ms. Vanessa and her daughter sitting down, having a meal before the dinner rush. Ms. Vanessa dressed to impress and a glass of wine (how you will find her anytime she's at either location). We had the pleasure to have Ms. Vanessa and her daughter chef it up for us on our Saturday date. We arrived during Saturday happy hour! The food was amazing, the ambiance was elegant, drinks strong (forgot to photograph the drinks), and hospitality 100%. The food is always flavorful and well plated. This is a true gem! Thank you for the delicious food and wonderful food experience. I love Vanessa's Bistro"
"Really decent Korean bbq place with top notch quality and service! I would recommend to go there if you are in the area. The meat quality was good but the pancakes were crunch as I like."
"I've been here more than a few times and have also ordered a party tray and each and every single time the food was delicious. Every single dish I've tried has been amazing and kept us wanting more!! Their fried chicken is always fried to perfection. It doesn't taste/feel greasy. Same with their calamari. Their staples are always a hit--pad Thai, khao soi, fried rice, curry. All super super delicious. Service is always quick and friendly. They also recently renovated so the spot is a lot more spacious and open. This is our go to Thai restaurant!"
"After having Teppanyaki on a cruise ship, I decided I wanted to find a restaurant at home where I could have my birthday dinner. A friend recommended this restaurant, and I'm glad she did. Our food was very good! I had salmon, my older son had filet mignon, and my younger son had shrimp. We all agreed the fried rice was the best we'd had anywhere. The grilled veggies were very tasty also. I didn't care for the salad dressing, but really liked the mushroom soup. Our chef wasn't very entertaining and not engaging, so that was a bummer. The chef we had on the cruise ship was an amazing entertainer and a tough act to follow.I admit I was thrown off by the 20% service charge, but I've heard that some restaurants are doing that nowadays. This restaurant is someplace I would only go for special occasions so if costs a little extra I'm ok with it as long as the service and food are good. I'm sure we'll be back because both my sons now want their birthday dinners here as well."
"Went here with a couple friends on a Saturday night. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but the restaurant was not crowded and we got seated right away. When we left at 9:00 though, they were full. I loved that the place was well lit. The staff was very friendly and they were also attentive - they kept bringing us more water and checked back a few times after our food was delivered to see if we needed anything. The seaweed salad was very good - I liked the sesame dressing. The spring rolls were delicious - fried just right. The BBQ dumplings were also very good, but the pork were only OK. We ordered fried rice, which I don't think we needed, and we got a dessert - I forget what it was called, but its the balls with sesame seeds. Those were delicious, but larger than the ones you usually get."
"After a nearby doctor's appointment, I stopped by this location for a quick drink. They have two options for milk for their Thai Iced Tea-- coconut milk or standard. I went with standard with light ice. It was very good -- not too sweet! There is plenty of seating and street parking. I can't wait to come back to eat here."
"I can't believe I have not yet left a review for Viet Noms. My family & I have been regulars since 2021. On average, we eat here once a week. The food is consistently delicious (especially the spring rolls) and the staff is friendly and welcoming. In particular, Yuri (sp?) who goes out of her way to prepare my son's rice plate to his liking. I find that they are really good at following special instructions such as removing cilantro and green onions from the dish. In addition, the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. In the 3+ years I've been coming here, I have never had a bad meal or dining experience. Highly recommend!"
"Superb food. Friendly and good service. I've been here several times with family members. I've eaten at other Burmese restaurants and think this is the best of many. The Tea Leaf Salad is a standout. I've never been disappointed with other choices."
"First I would like to start off with the service! As soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the staff. First impressions are huge! As soon as we get seated, the table is set to perfection. 10/10We put in our order, I can't remember the names of our dishes but I will provide pictures for you.We had the salad with duck in it. I honestly would go back just for the salad alone. It had that a really nice bite to it. The shallots added so much flavor, and you know when you get a salad and sometimes they over dress it? Well that was not the case, it was dressed and definitely impressed. Had a squeeze of lime for that extra zing to it. Perfect! We also had the hotpot, and let me tell you! The soup base was flavorful. It didn't need anything. It had that sweet and sour taste to it, and the fact that you get to add extra little sides in it made it so good! Kayla our wonderful staff member told us to add bean curd, and that little bean curd soaked up all the flavor , and as soon as you put it in your mouth, the flavor bomb kicked in! So good The other item we ordered was a beef stir fry with rice noodle and lettuce, I am a big meat eater. The beef alone was epic, it was savory, and the rice noodles that comes with it was really good. It came with a dipping sauce, and just like the bean curd, the rice noodles packed all that flavor! This is definitely a restaurant you have to try. The whole setting of the restaurant was beautiful, from the cuttlery to the food it was amazing! Definitely a date night, a go to in alameda, a fun dinner with the family. I can't wait to come back to try other things on the menu. I'm sure they won't miss - (this means that they aren't going to fail for you people who don't know what that means)."
"Adorable patio, feels like you're in the middle of a garden. Food was very good, so was service. Great spot for when you want a nice evening out with friends or a date."
"Great place to go for hot plate sizzling food! We came on a weekday night and they were pretty crowded at around 6 pm. You order on QR code, and they bring the food out to you. I highly recommend you to not wear something that is hard to wash because the smell will permeate into your clothing. I ordered the curry rice with beef and added kimchi on top. We also ordered the calamari to share, the calamari took awhile to come out, about 15 min, they make it fresh! I really enjoyed my dish! It came with a good portion of meat and rice."
"Amazing food 5/5 Served quickly 5/5Service with a smile 5/5 Ambience - cozy and comfortable 5/5"
"A true Oakland gem. Family run, amazing food and fair prices. My favorites are the fire cracker wonton, egg rolls (handmade in house, so fresh and crispy) and my daughter loves the wonton soup. The bao bun sliders are also awesome. Fresh, soulful food. Great service, comfortable and clean. And they serve Fat Tire Ale! If you haven't tried it you have to."
"Do not be like me and come here after a long day of not eating because you'll end up packing down a bowl for 2 meals! But also be like me if you don't mind delicious leftovers. The selection variety for the bowls here are great: they'll have most of the classic hot pot options with some few extra goodies I haven't seen elsewhere where and enjoy such as the fish tofu with cheese and mochi nuggets! With mild spice on the signature beef bone broth I could def feel a little numbing in my mouth but it's so flavorful.Their bottled drink selections were refreshing if you want a fun flavored drink like grape or pomegranate tea. Alternatively, they offer drinks on the side that are free next to the sauce bar.I'm already looking forward to my next time eating here! Definitely come with friends to bet on how much food each person will end up paying for based on the weight of their bowl."
"I was skeptical based on Yelp reviews but a was pleasantly surprised. The place was clean and staff friendly and prompt to serve. I love the fruit punch- it's more slushy like which I really enjoyed. Portions are generous definitely best to share. The beef garlic noodles and fried vegetable spring rolls were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. I will definitely return to this spot."
"Kimchi Garden is a hidden gem near Telegraph Ave. I'm down to go back!Food - 5/5- Ordered the Beef Kimbap, Spicy Pork Bibimbap, & Duk Bok Gi Great amount for 2 (surprised by the amount of Kimbap rolls)!Vibe - 5/5- Went here on a Friday (lunchtime) and it was not crowded! Ordered via Snackpass kiosks at the entryway (easy to use)!- The restaurant was larger than I expected - very spacious and plenty of seats!- Loved that they played BTS, Blackpink, and other great K-pop artists, too! Customer Service - 3/5- Easy pick-up at window. When I asked for a to-go bag, the employee persisted in checking the receipt before providing a bag (even though I sat and ate for 1+ hour). - Did not understand the holdup, but other than that, I enjoyed this place"
"I am a huge fan of the food truck. Usually I get some right before a Giants game! Sometimes we just look for them wherever there are trucks.Today was the first visit to the actual building. Clean, open and welcoming! The food is as tasty as ever. I did not expect that bar. I wonder if I can watch the Tyson fight here!"
"Saucy opened where Tamarindo Antojeria was. Decor is laid back. Seating is spread thruout the interior.Offerings: "experiences", lunch sets, happy hour. Quick/spicy bites, shareables, rice bowls, dinner entrees.Order at counter, pay, pick food at counter when ready. About 10 minutes.Eats: popcorn shrimp lunch set (18)-mixed green with artisan dressing fresh, yummy.-kimchi fresh, semi spicy. Steamed rice fresh, moist-edamame surprisingly tender, fresh tasting-shrimp chips had lots shrimp & other flavas.-10+ popcorn shrimps unami flavored with mix of honey mustard, thai chili sauce, togarashi sesame. Shrimp itself was moist, crunchy. Didn't taste natural juiciness. Not the usual shrimp. Looked rock shrimp. 4.5 stars: great value. Didn't have time to explore. Just happen to discover Saucy on a walk by."
"This is a great place to come with a big group! They have a large menu and everything we ordered tasted really good. If you have picky friends, there's something for everyone on the menu.First off, the tea was so good. It wasn't the tea you get at chinese restaurants, it tasted roasted. The service here was also very good - my tea cup was never empty despite me drinking so much of it! Hamachi Sashimi - We tried the hamachi sashimi and the fish was thick and tasted fresh! Fish Taco - The fish tacos were spicy mayo salmon and avocado. The taco shell was made of fried seaweed. Such a creative idea and the fish was tasty! The perfect appetizer. Lion King Roll - The house special sauce was the perfect texture - not too creamy. This roll was good and came out warm. Dragon Roll - Some places use crab meat instead of shrimp tempura but this place has both in the roll!! The rolls come with a good number of pieces and I have no complaints about the flavor. I could just order rolls here and I would've been satisfied! Chicken Teriyaki - The chicken teriyaki was juicy and flavorful. I may be basic but if it's available, I'll order this. So simple but so delicious! The place was also very clean and spacious! Park in the lot underneath - they validate parking here if you ask. I'm excited to bring my some of my friends here - I think it's a nice place to hang out, drink tea, and eat till my belly's full :)!"
"I've lived in the neighborhood my entire life but never tried Bua Luang! Each time I've passed by it's been jamming so I was excited to try this spot for a girl's night out.The restaurant is simple and modest with indoor and outdoor seating. The interior has natural elements with a calming environment surrounded by Thai decor. The workers are all kind and constantly check in while dishes come out promptly.Whenever I go to a Thai restaurant I order Pad Thai as a basic standard dish. Their Pad Thai with Chicken was everything you look for in Pad Thai--sweet, savory, and slightly nutty. I liked how it also came with tofu! My friend enjoyed her Duck Noodle Soup. For the price, portions were plentiful and a take-out box was needed for both myself and my friend.Bua Luang is a popular destination in Albany for Thai cuisine. Find them off Solano Ave. with street and neighborhood parking. I wouldn't mind coming back to try their other dishes!"
