Broadway Liquors

I've tried to call them a dozen times. They never answer the phone. I don't want to have to drive all the way there to see if they have what I'm looking for.

Broadway Liquors is one of my favorite local spots in Oakland. I get excited to come in. Liquor stores are a dime a dozen, but these guys distinguish themselves well. They are open LATE (see hours). They aren't cheap, and they have really good alcohol. While most liquor stores have a general, cliche selection of boring beer (Bud, Coors, Miller, Corona)--these guys are heavy handed with local craft. Faction Brewery in Alameda (for example) makes a really good brew. My two favorites are The Penske File, and the Faction Pale Ale. Broadway has them BOTH. Faction is not impossible to find; it is rare. Off the top of my head, others include: (Faction, Almanac, Anchor, 21st, Drakes, and Fort Point.Also a lot from So Cal. (Stone, Beaver, Ballast Point). Im sure more. That's just beer! I haven't made my way to wine or spirits... But picture the best of everything local that bottles and they may have it. In addition to alcohol, they also sell bitters, as well as syrups. Also sells lots of tobacco and a lot of other nicotine products. But come on, that shit sucks and is horrible for you!

The guys up at the front are friendly and always there to help with I feel overwhelmed with selections. The neighborhood is better than most other liquor stores in Oakland and is well lit as night. As a woman who often travels alone, I feel safe coming here and seeing the same staff there to help time and time again

Holy crap I have never seen a larger selection of craft beers, and artisinal spirits in my life. Whatever you are looking for this place has it. It has things you were not even thinking of looking for. The plus side is that the workers are very friendly and informative of their products. They will be able to point you in the direction of whatever you need.

I have a favorite Mezcal that I used to get at Nido (great neighborhood Mexican) called Machetazo Cupreata. With covid and businesses on hiatus I needed a beverage and Broadway Liquors helped! They had my favorite along with good hours, lots of other choices and nearby street parking (or just go to the Grocery Outlet lot across the street). I have a couple of adult beverages a week so I'm not there often, but they're now 100% my go-to spot for all my liquor needs!

Bartenders/craft cocktail enthusiasts: look no further. This place has everything you need. Ya got your beer, your wine, your spirits, but moreover ya got your Chartreuse, your Aperol, your Fernet, a whole smattering of amaros- YOU GOT IT ALL!! I work at a bar that has the largest selection of American whiskey I've seen anywhere and I was very impressed with the collection here as well. Thank you to Mo and King for the hospitality. I'll be back of course.

Hands down the most extensive variety of liquors I've seen in a long time. Definitely the most in this area and very reasonably priced. This is my new store to shop for craft and high end alcohols.

They have decent enough prices for the non-popular drinks but mark up the more popular stuff to ridiculous prices on a whim. Would be a better place if that wasn't a part of their operandi.

TERRRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!Starting off they have a very basic selection then thing there all high anf mighty once me and my friend went to pay rember we are 21 a 50 YEAR OLF MAN(The chashier asked for our number and kept looking at our chest.Once we left we heard him snd his friend cat calling.Please if u are a women do not come here!!!!!

Huge selection of liquor but the person working the register can't really tell you what they have if you ask. Be prepared to find what you are looking for by yourself, specially since there isn't always logic to how it's organized. Don't expect to find olives, pickles onions or any other condiments there despite the fact that they carry a lot of other random things. With a little love this place could be awesome.
