I love boychick bagels in the sense of the actual bagel, so I was excited to head here to experience the overall vibe. Once you enter, it's unclear where you need to go to order as there's no directions so you just kinda look around and find out it's not right when you walk in but the other side ( there are people randomly standing everywhere waiting for their order, so it isn't a clear right away where to go)...then when I went to order the person behind the front desk seemed preoccupied with doing something else but told me to go ahead and put my order in. But when I gave it to her, she had me end up repeating all of it because she was preoccupied with something else. no prob. I received my everything bagel with tomato, onion and cucumber with plain cream cheese. The cream cheese was so thick. It was the equivalent thickness of the bottom half of the bagel. I then ordered a coffee which they put the half-and-half in for you. The coffee was $3.75 (more than the price of a bagel) and it is literally so watered down, It's embarrassing. Overall in my opinion: Avoid coffee unless you like it weak. Ask for light cream cheese unless you like it on thick. Also this is probably just because of the let down of the other things, but PLEASE get new chairs that don't sound so loud with every movement

I ate at Boichik Bagel for the first time today. The factory store is a very large location with both indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. I ordered two items:Mensch: this is the whitefish salad sandwich that includes tomato and cucumber. I really liked this sandwich. The everything bagel added the needed saltiness to the sandwich. If I were to change anything, I think some red onion slices would have hit the spot.Bialy: I was disappointed with this item. I've had much better. Very plain basic bialy. The food was prepared really fast and the cashier was very friendly. Not a bad experience. Prices were reasonable as well.

One wearies of people from the east coast kvetching about the changing of the seasons. "What I really miss is the changing of the seasons," they'll say. It takes some chutzpah to make a gripe about the weather when living in the paradise of California's coast. Another gripe made by these New York/Tri-state mutants is food, to wit, pizza and bagels.Boichik Bagel's company website expresses how the founder experienced apprehension over the absence of proper bagels in California, specifically the bay area. So he did something about it. (But really, can you just make a good bagel and shut up about it).And the bagels are good. I visited on back to back mornings. I ate, or noshed, as it were, an everything bagel with lox spread and a pumpernickel bagel with caraway salt and hatch chili spread. I'll say this: the bagels are good. They are very good: the best I've ever had. Their resilient structure is somehow also soft and pliable. The crust is more rugged leather than it is wooden crisp. I'll suffer sounding like an ingrate and say that they smear on too much cheese. They give a generous portion, but I sense it throws things out of balance. Fat is not to be feared. Fat, in the right ratio and placement on a woman's body, is to be marveled at; too much, and you have an obese monster. The amount of cheese on Boichik's bagels leans to the latter. After my Day 2 visit to Boichik, I decided to try out another bagel from another place. A side by side taste test. This other place was terrible, with its bad qualities all the more glaring in comparison with Boichik. It had no structure. When bitten into, it liked to have fallen apart: weak like cotton candy. And even a dollar or two more expensive. Boichik, the undisputed champ.

Stopped in for the first time. I was surprised how big the place is. Biggest bagel shop I have ever seen. Tried whitefish on an everything egg bagel. It was delicious. Service was really good too.

Finally had a chance to grab a bagel sandwich here. Personally, I thought the process of ordering a bagel sandwich was confusing. The protein fillings are labeled "fish and salads", so I thought it was literal salad on the side. Fortunately, the employee at the order line was super patient and friendly. I decided on The Classic (with pumpernickel bagel) and substituted cucumbers instead of red onions. If you want something removed from The Classic altogether, I would suggest you "custom build" it - saves you 50 cents which is better than nothing considering how expensive the overall bagel sandwich is.The Classic bagel sandwich with pumpernickel bagel was absolutely delicious. It is quite messy and has a very generous smear of cream cheese, so I would not recommend this as an on-the-go food. Unfortunately, halfway through my sandwich, there was a long strand of hair weaved into the salmon. I brought it up to the employees at the counter as a preventative measure for their future bagel sandwiches and their fish vendor, but they were overall a bit dismissive and tried to walk away. At least they offered me a free bagel of my choice, but I would hope that they'd still check their fish vendor for quality.

I count myself as one of the very very lucky ones because we live right next door to Boichik! Seriously whenever someone comes to visit us, they want bagels every morning! My favorite bites is the everything bagel with plain cream cheese and the cinnamon raisin with plain cream cheese and strawberry jam. I became so addicted that I tried to recreate this at home but their bagels cannot be replicated. And the jam they use is so so good! They are always so sweet to our puppy when we bring him with us! We usually take the bagels to go but the outdoor patio is so cute and I love the indoor seating too since you can see the bagels being made.

For an Everything Bagel with Nova Lox + Pink Label Cream Cheese... it was about $16. Honestly worth the splurge! I would do it again. If it was more affordable, I'd come here all the time. The Nova Lox was very salty and flavorful. Honestly, that is how I prefer it to contrast the dense bagel and cream cheese. The Pink Label surprisingly didn't taste anything like cucumber... I tried to scan for cucumber chunks or something, but nothing. Tasted like regular cream cheese to me lolMy friend's bagel order also came out completely wrong... but she still enjoyed it! I recommend checking your bagels before you leave though.
