Blue & Gold Liquor

Like any liquor store in The Town you're just looking for a quick drink or snack. I'm from Oakland so I been to my fair share of liquor stores, never have I had a problem until I stopped at this one. I came in for 2 personal wines. Which I know for a fact are no more than $2.50 each! But me being a woman!! The owner (old guy) thought he could get over me. Then me being a dumbass and not paying attention. He charged me $10.00 for 2 personal wines. I didn't notice until I got back to the car. So I told my boyfriend & he then got irritated and made me go back and got off with me to get my $5 change back. We then go back & the guy tried to play dumb and act like he didn't overcharge me after he seen my man. I will never give this business another one of my $1's lol.

Right next to Philomena Pizza, this store is great to stock up on snacks and drinks in a pinch. Very handy during superbowl Sunday, it wasn't too busy when I went in. The cashier was helpful and I was in and out pretty quickly. They don't really speak English so no conversation needed. Honestly they're more so talking amongst themselves than paying attention to you.The place is small and kind of tight, stuffed with chips, cookies, wines and they have refrigerated beers, wines and juices along the far wall. Definitely a neighborhood type of store, the customers either kept to themselves or were friendly. One nodded at my picking the Smirnoff for the party. "Great choice!" He ribbed. It was.

Blue & Gold doesn't look like much but it's been here for 18 years so they must be doing something right.goods offered: groceries, mainstream beer, hard liquor, small bottle winessnacks. eats: 2/$1 chips-smartfood popcorn with cheddar cheeseawesome! all-natural ingredients 5 stars-ruffles cheddar cheese and sour creamyummy and crunchy 4 starsnotes:-no lotto (religious prohibition?)-store closes at 12:15ish daily for prayer4 stars for the chips, 2 stars for sparse, pricey microbrew selection.

been coming here since 2013, owners have changed within the past year or so and prices went up. newly renovated, more high-end craft beer product but new owners brought their little kids in to work, too... kinda shady.not as friendly as previous owners.

Been coming to this store since I was knee-high.It's right around the corner from my house & I know everyone that works here. Cool & friendly family. Oh btw. $2 for 3

Best late night liquor run ever, boss man is great,joke around and if you know him well enough you can get deals on bottles smoke etc. Been knowing the owner since I was 8 year old and still go there lol!
