I had a really good experience here. The ground level has no seats, but the top level does. If your concert is general admission and you'd like to sit down, go to the top level immediately. If not, the ground level is great too!Biggest inconvenience was the bathrooms, but they did a good job of making it as easy as possible. There are two women's restrooms on the lower level, and some on the upper levels too.

Random, but.. the nachos at Bill Graham are so good! Waaay better than the nachos at the Chase Center! LolI like this concert venue because 1) very convenient to BART; 2) lots of bathrooms; 3) did I mention the nachos yet?

Venue was spacious but a bit dated. I appreciate the cleanliness of the restrooms and how they separate the concession stands from the bars. It made service efficient. The service workers were nice but the food was meh. I ordered a hotdog and for $10 I was expecting, at least, a beef hot dog, not the cheapest hot dogs they could find. The performing artist was Erykah Badu and she was great, but late per usual (1 hour and 45 minutes to be exact). I was surprised that this wasn't a "sold out" show but I think people are getting tired of spending their hard earned money just for celebrities to waste their time. Time is money and I get it!

Probably my least favorite venue of all concert venues in the Bay Area. Came here to see Zayn earlier this week and we got seats up on the balcony. This place has seats with no view due to cement poles that completely obstruct your view. This is completely unacceptable that the venue sells at full capacity knowing this is the case. We didn't get any food but we did get drinks which were standard expensively priced. I know it's on the show runners/artists at the end of the day to book these venues but Bill Graham needs to reduce its capacity to eliminate those view blocked seats for the sake of profit. There are no screens anywhere either to see the artist so you've really just got to squint and hope for the best.

Attended A Conversation With Larry David, which was a unique and absolutely entertaining form of comedy that had me seriously LOL. Storytelling and discussion of his opinions on certain subjects, details about his upbringing, first jobs, and early career, his experience writing sketches for SNL in the 80's, connecting Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm with real life situations, and a Q&A with the audience in the end with Larry David poking fun at the crowd in his usual way. The show was hilarious, interesting, and better than I expected. But it wouldn't have been such a great experience without an awesome venue like the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. No elaborate decor in the auditorium, but sound and lighting were ideal, and the view of the stage was great, even from the top few rows of the upper balcony... the ultimate stadium seating where each row is sigificantly higher than the row directly in front of it, so no heads to block your view. There are no cupholders at the seats and legroom is minimal, but I had no problems as a short person sitting along the aisle. The place also has a spacious lounge area with a bar, tables and seating, though there were concessions available on the top level lobby as well, with very few lines/waiting up there. They offered pizza, hot dogs, pretzels, nachos, samosas, candy, and cookies on the menu, on top of alcoholic beverages and sodas. What's more, entry and security check were quick and easy, and I even found free street parking about a 8-minute walk away on Mission Street (on a Monday evening). Needless to say, I'm a fan of this event center.

If you're picky about where you want to be for an event that is all GA here (which is awesome btw), you need to arrive early. Some nights the outdoor temp will be much colder than the indoor temp, so prepare for that because there will probably be a line to get inside. There is thorough security screening to get inside-- metal detector and removing things from pockets but no pat downs. The downstairs area with bathrooms was super hot, but upstairs not so. I like this venue but you gotta know where to be for the best acoustics. Have fun!

I actually flew to SF to attend a concert here, and prior to this, I never really paid attention to the acoustics of an auditorium. This is actually the worst concert venue I've ever been to. As another reviewer mentioned, the sound gets distorted, the bass sounds awful, and you can barely make out what the band is playing. Sight lines are pretty bad in the balcony and in GA, you're at the mercy of the height of the person in front of you. Concerts are expensive as it is. If you're trying to see a band, skip this venue as you will just end up with a headache, earache, or pure disappointment.

Really loved this venue! Went for the Breakaway Festival, it was a heavy bass EDM show. The speakers sounded good and the light shows and visuals were good too. I had a VIP wristband, which I felt was definitely worth it, lots more space to dance, not overcrowded and you could feel the AC blasting so I was never hot, it was very cool. I love that they have coatcheck in the basement! Drinks were expensive like at any show, like if you wanted a tequila with an energy drink, you had to pay for the shot and the energy drink separate instead of it being a mixed drink. The cups were really tiny so they let you keep the rest of the energy drink though thankfully. The bartenders were all friendly for the most part!I like that this place is so big! Loved being able to sit upstairs if you needed a little break from dancing. I never had to wait long for the restrooms either which was really nice!I was worried about it being near the tenderloin, but honestly didn't have any issues with that. We left like 15 minutes before the show ended so we could grab our coats and get an Uber before everyone else left. We had the Uber pick us up across the street in front of the capital and didn't have to wait long at all and didn't ever feel unsafe! Can't wait to come back for another show! Thank you for a safe wonderful night!

Had a wonderful time seeing Orville Peck at the Auditorium. I've heard critiques that the acoustics aren't the best here and maybe Orville Peck just has the pipes to make up for that, but I didn't notice any issues. We split our time standing in the pit and sitting up top. Seats are not amazingly comfortable but they're what you'd expect from a historic venue like this. Getting in was totally painless, everyone working was friendly and helpful. The auditorium is in a beautiful part of San Francisco, walking out of the show and seeing City Hall all lit up was an added bonus to our evening.

So to start this off, I've been to tons of concerts around the bay area. This started once we were in line outside the venue. Which i will touch on at the end. We had asked where we could get some food, and they're directions led us to a bar with no food. After the concert Zayn was Amazing. We went to get merch, we got in what we were told was the merch line, only to be told by a different worker that the line started further back, ok so we go further back, to be told by a different worker that the line was back up where we were. So we go back up, only to be told that the line starts upstairs now. At that point I had enough and went home without merch which I'm pissed by. They need to have better communication between staff. The same thing happened outside, we were told to make 2 lines we did, then further up we were told no more lines, to group up like sardines. I will not got back to this venue, even if it's another one of my favorite artists. And to top it off, I've worked at concerts venues. This was horribly unorganized.
