Great burgers and fries! Got our large order out pretty fast too! Super friendly staff and the cashier was a great DJ, loved her music.

I love this mom and pop spot ! They're always so friendly and welcoming and the food here is . My go to is usually the double cheese burger with mushroom and bacon. The way they cook their patties are phenomenal! It's perfectly charred and always juicy, never dry! Today we ordered the cheese steak sandwich and I can't even put in words how delicious it was. The cheese was stringy, the meat was well seasoned and the mushroom and peppers, ‍! Also, the sides, never a miss ! Onion rings are a must ! Overall, this place is a must try! OH! They have Korean dishes as well and the short rib plate is my favorite!

I came here on a whim .... I will definitely be back and try other items I ordered a breakfast burrito $9 It was HUGE and very tasty Burrito has potato, bacon, cheese, avocado(extra $) bell peppers, salsa and eggCustomer service is friendly Venue is clean Private parking lot, plenty of parking available Out door eating only No indoor dining Menu is has a lot of items available Prices are reasonable

We went a little hog wild ordering two double burgers between us, along with a side of onion rings. Man, the burgers were so good and so were the onion rings. Next time though, we're probably going to split a double burger between us or just get a single.

Ben's Burgers has been here for years, maybe decades. just outdoor seating now. they are in the a food dessert on the edges of Oaktown. but for the Foods Co. that opened within a decade, there are no major groceries here. few eateries. area isn't as rundown as E.14th st. (International Ave.) Top Hatter is a mile from here, just over the border.offerings: burgers, combos, fries, beverages, fast foods, specials,eats: korean bbq (18.95) with rice, salad-fresh crispy lettuce salad with honey mustard sauce option. -korean bbq pieces were juicy, large pieces, mostly meat, fat on edges for marbling.-the meat looked looked darker than the pic shows. pitch black. reason unknown, very taste though the color of the "grease" was concerning. 4.5 tasted great-haven't had this since pandemic started.-quick, courteous service, food cooked to order, readied in 10 minutes. it traveled well.take outs:-keep an eye out for fast cars before making turns. the angles at the stops creates difficulties for seeing oncoming cross traffic.-the newly reopened dim sum eatery nearby has experienced car break ins. just am fyi. i've never seen nor experienced any in this area. .

Ben's is an East Oakland staple. If you don't know, you're simply asleep at the wheel. Our go to is the quarter pound combo but they have great chicken sandwiches among many other things because their menu is vast, flavors run deep and you're never left thinking you need more food. Give them a try next time you're in the area

Ever since I moved to Oakland a few years ago I have been going to Bens burgers. Even when I lived in San Leandro I heard about this place. Their burgers are delicious and frys tasty. The golden melt is my favorite. Good size menu. Great customer service. A lil expensive but what restaurant isn't nowadays? I will return in the future.

It's close to Oakland Zoo and a great pitstop before or after with much better food than you'll find anywhere at the zoo. I love these old and worn burger places that have better quality food than any fast food big-chain.Golden Melt Cheese: 1/3 lb burger with 2 cheeses, pickles, tomato, and lettuce. Served sandwiched in toasted sourdough toast. There are two thin patties inside to make the 1/3 lb and though they look small there are two of them and the flavor was nice. Didn't know how good a burger would be in sourdough until I had this, would repeat.Fries were nice and thick cut, nice golden yellow and tasted so much better than any fast food place. We got the chicken nuggets for the kids which seemed store bought but the kids loved them.They do have some interesting items like smoked chicken, bbq ribs, potstickers, and teriyaki chicken.

I went in on my lunch thinking I'm going to go get me a tasty Fish Burger, I went in and found out the owners have changed. I am a huge fan of supporting our community, but it was an awful experience, the menu has changed, and when I was choosing from the new menu, they did not have the items advertised, it took an hour and ten minutes to get a child size cheeseburger that was burnt and hard and crunchy and cold fries , they were very confused with the orders. I am not pleased and will not be returning, which is sad.

Bens is not Bens burger anymore,Now Southern Kitchen!!??we had no idea until going in to get a nice Bens burger and fries and shake, the menu has totally changed and the hours don't match online hours, Bens was the best in that area and they should have never left. If I knew it changed the menu I would never stop there again!!! And I know a lot of people will be going to Jerry's now. They tried to keep the Bens burger name to get people there but it's a big disappointment when you get there and realize it's not Bens!!I don't think it will draw the same crowd and Bens did. Good luck!! One star close to none because I had to.
