For the past three years I've put the Benicia Peddler's Fair in my rotation of "must do" summer festivals and I'm looking forward to my 4th year this August. It's fun to see the normally sleepy downtown area of Benicia fill up with vendors and festival goers. The goods run the gamut of hand crafted to antique, vintage to vintage inspired along with a handful of fair food & homemade goody sellers. Eclectic and interesting mix that borders more on a flea market than art festival. Part of the fun includes visiting the unique shops and galleries downtown as well as stopping for lunch. Time and weather permitting, you can easily head down to the water front and enjoy some views near the pier. Each year I've taken home some one of a kind garden or home decor and enjoy this event immensely. Side note, that free street parking is available-just be patient and courteous to others and be prepared to walk a few block. Enjoy!

Nice place for a craft market! The weather was perfect. Quite a bit of vendors, all with unique finds. Def not cheap. Nice to walk around and see things if you are in the area. I didn't buy anything but it was cool to window shop since we had never been in the area.

The Peddlers' Fair this year was the best ever. The weather was perfect. There were plenty of food vendors and lots of great antiques and collectables. The volunteers on the street corners are so helpful and full of great info. You can even take a tour of St. Paul's Episcopal Church on the corner of First and J. It is a beautiful old church.

This fair draws huge crowds (we're talking in the tens of thousands), so get there early and wear comfy shoes. Check out my comprehensive list of all of the flea markets and fairs in the Bay Area at http://www.thriftstorejunkies.com.

Nice event overall. A fair amount of unique, locally made items. I bought a necklace and two pairs of earrings from one of the few jewelry vendors that actually had unique, handcrafted jewelry. So much of the jewelry was cheap stuff from Amazon or other countries (but being passed off as handmade, local). I wish organizers would vet the vendors better.
