I ordered on grubhub and received a COLD pizza. like. how does this place have such good reviews! It was a basic pizza and salad. I called to check on the status and the person working couldn't give me a status.

Walked in was greeted very quickly. I love the aroma heavenly. I looked at the menu. Such a great variety. Prices very friendly. I purchased a slice of pizza. So huge. Went to the car ready to drive off. My daughter bit my pizza. She said oh wow! I'm going to purchase a slice. Every bit of season used you can taste. It was the most delicious pizza I've tasted. I love love pizza. Thank you for the wonderful service. The pizza and garlic fries! Delicious

Meat lovers Stromboli was great, meat filled to the ends. The cheese slice was good. The owner and his wife are really nice. I'll definitely be back for my stromboli fix.

I've walked by this place many times and have been amused by their mural that shows Steph Curry holding a pizza box.I finally got to try it yesterday and I ordered a margherita pizza, regular 14 inch size, for pickup online. The pizza was ready when we got there and it was a quick, smooth process to pick up the box.The pizza itself was pretty good overall, it wasn't particularly a stand-out compared to other margherita pizzas I've had, but the main part of the pizza was decently yummy and salty, without too much red sauce. The crust/bread part was rather plain, however. They only gave us one packet of parmesan, so we supplemented with leftover cheese packets we had at home, which definitely improved the flavor. Overall, the pizza is pretty thin and the crust is not puffy.

It's really, really great pizza. I'm so glad it's nearby & we'd order it more often but hours & staff seem inconsistent.The owner seems like a real nice guy.

First-time customer here. Opted for delivery using the Slice app. Tried the regular-sized "Funghi" pie with alfredo sauce, garlic, mushrooms, artichoke, and parsley. Placed the order at 8:30, and it arrived by 9:14. Scrumptious! The crust is a bit thin, but the subtle crunch was quite satisfying. Shared it with two friends, and it was a fulfilling experience. Caution for those lactose-sensitive!

I've driven and walked by this place for almost a year and always thought, man those Pizza slices that look like wings on the side of the building are awesome! Its like Nashville, or Austin, but here! and Pizza!Anyways, finally got around to ordering and am very sad I waited this long. Basil has some of the tastiest sauce/cheese on any pizza I've had in a long time! Delicious! The Mozz sticks were also, perfect! Crunchy on the outside, molten on the inside, and flavor explosions the whole time.Mix that with some awesome service and this place is a must visit. Quick note, while I was waiting for my pickup, there were two people ordering who were in a hurry but these guys were so good about it, and just overall threw out good vibes. Just made me feel good before I had even eaten a bite.

It's Friday night in Oakland, and I went to try the Meat Lovers Stromboli at Basil Pizzeria! A stromboli is like a rolled pizza. It's fillings are your favorite pizza toppings stuffed into a giant tasty turnover. You slice it into segments, and dip them in the marinara sauce. A stromboli is not a calzone. A calzone is a folded pizza, and it's edges are crimped. The Meat Lovers Stromboli is delicious! I added extra cheese and mushrooms, and it still costs less than $20. This stromboli is loaded with Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Ham, Salami, Pepperoni, Sausage. Because it's a rolled pizza, it's easy to handle and not messy. The place was busy at 9pm on a Friday night. Looks like they were training a new guy to pass out orders. Well, my order was right!

I came here to get some chicken wings because that's what I was craving. The person at the counter (who I believe was the owner) kept asking questions on why I didn't want pizza and pressured me to buy pizza. I answered I had pizza recently and wanted wings, but still he was pushy. The wings were extremely mediocre & tasteless, and their pizza looked very sad to be honest. I won't be back here for wings or pizza, why be bossy with a customer that is already ordering?!
