Clean beach, good parking, outhouses at one parking spot and bathrooms at another. Plenty of room to walk dogs, only a few people with dogs on the beach this morning.Lots of signage in the area for coyotes. Apparently it's a problem as park ranger type told me to be aware since I had dogs either me.

I decided to visit this place after seeing beautiful pictures of this beach in Instagram. Special about this beach is that it offers a spectacular vantage point of the Golden Gate Bridge. The beach is clean with soft sand that's perfect for a picnic. The waves are usually gentle, making it a great spot for families or a peaceful retreat. Facilities are basic, with a few restrooms and no food stands, so bringing your own supplies is a good idea. Parking can be a bit challenging, especially on weekends, so plan ahead or consider public transit.

I rarely go to Baker Beach. When I do, however, I always think to myself I should come here more often. I usually am on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge, by Fort Point. I like Baker Beach as a secluded, quieter spot, and in my experience it is not as windswept as elsewhere on the water (that is not to say it is SoCal). My understanding is it is a nudist venue. I'm fine with that. I believe to the extent anyone is threatened, it is voyeurs and scolds who are menacing to the sunbathers, not those who are without clothing toward their attired brethren.

This is such a great photo spot for the Golden Gate Bridge. The best place is to park toward the top and walk down to the beach. In the past, there used to be giant rocks right in front and it made for epic photos. I've been fortunate to take photos during sunrise and sunset. By far, sunset photos were my favorite. You can't beat the different sunset colors with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. This beach can get pretty crowded since it's popular, but the view is always worth it. Definitely recommend!

Gorgeous area with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Good for photos. One of our favorite beaches in the SF area other than Muir. There is also path about 1.5 miles long that leads to a walk on the Golden Gate Bridge.

Very popular spot for both locals and tourists, so keep that in mind when you are planning a trip here. The parking lot situation can get tough, so get here early if possible, or be ready to wait for parking. The beach itself and parking area are well-maintained. Not to mention, you get the BEST views of the Golden Gate Bridge! It's also dog-friendly and they have restrooms available on-site. Took a lot of great pictures and had a relaxing and fun time at the beach. Highly recommend and I would definitely be back!

Baker Beach has an old battery(chamberlain). That means it's a military spot. The view is okay and the weather is not too cold or hot. It's a small hideaway and inlet. The parking lot is helpful. Baker Beach is a San Francisco bucket list spot. It's accessible by bus. It's in the Presidio. It's quiet and you won't see too much or anybody. It's like Ocean Beach..quiet and a little cold..sunny..and existential.

Baker Beach is south of the Golden Gate Bridge and across from the Marin Headlands. There are lots of views of the Golden Gate Bridge from the beach. There is a parking lot and restrooms. Above the parking lot there is more parking on the road. I arrived with a friend on a Wednesday around noon in late September. At first, it was very calm, and in the 70s. Two hours later, it was 80 degrees. When we left at 2:30, the wind had picked up.There is a large sandy beach for walking, combing, fishing, and playing with your dog. If you walk towards the Golden Gate Bridge, before you get to the rocks, you may notice that people are in their birthday suits. Way back in 1986, the first Burning Man happened on Baker Beach with the burning of an 8-foot effigy.

Baker Beach is the beach you had to go to if you want to see views of the GGB. It's the most iconic POV for the entire city. I was lucky to visit many times while I lived in San Francisco. It's easy to access from the Presidio. It's a nice spot to picnic if you're properly prepared. I believe there is a designated nudist area, or there was when I lived there, and that's cool. Another great spot that doesn't have the same architectural views, but still beautiful is Ocean Beach.
