Auntie Pooey's Sweet Tooth is a hidden gem in the world of home-based bakeries, tucked away in a cozy townhome, but don't let that fool you--this place delivers big flavor in a small space. When you pull up, parking is plentiful (a real win when you're in the mood for something sweet), and ordering was a breeze.I went with the deep dark chocolate cake and peach cobbler--totaling about $19 for both. Let me tell you, Auntie Pooey knows how to make dessert. The chocolate cake was indulgently rich, with a deep, velvety cocoa flavor that was perfectly balanced. If you're a fan of dark chocolate, this will hit all the right notes. The peach cobbler was the perfect mix of sweet and tart, with juicy peaches and a crisp, buttery topping that adds just the right amount of crunch. The vibe here is low-key and homey, just like the treats. The bakery may be in a townhome, but the flavors are top-tier. Both desserts were deliciously sweet, exactly what I was hoping for, and made me feel like I was getting a little piece of home.Whether you're grabbing a quick dessert or planning to make this your go-to spot for your sweet tooth cravings, Auntie Pooey's delivers. I'll definitely be back for more!

Friendly and easy pickup..This is a residential (apartments / condo / townhouse) pickup, just for a heads up if you're looking for a storefront. I didn't see any signs with the business name, just knew the address. Luckily the resident is located on the Main Street so it isn't hard to find; however parking may be an issue during general after work hours. I purchased via TGTG so I could try items at a discounted price before potentially making a large order. I received the sweet potato pound cake and red velvet pound cake. - sweet potato pound cake was not moist, had a dry crumble, overcooked outside and very sparse sweet potato swirl. - red velvet pound cake tasted like a box mix bundt cake made with oil opposed to a true chocolate pound cake made with butter.

As someone who is not typically much of a fan of standard cakes that have that spongey bread sort of texture, that also made me a little hesitant and skeptical about getting pound cake, which is a specialty of Aunt Pooeys. However, after seeing them for quite a while on Too Good to Go, I decided to take a chance and order the surprise bag, knowing it was likely that pound cakes would likely be part of it.I walked up to the residential address that Aunt Pooeys is based out of and it was friendly and quick to pick up my surprise bag - it was likely Aunt Pooey herself that I got the food from. I got a 7 up pound cake and peach cobbler pound cake in the bag; they are shaped like small bundt cakes. I liked both but was a little more partial to the 7 up cake; the peach cobbler is sweet as one might expect with the flavor of preserved or canned peaches, whereas the 7 up cake had icing on it and was sweet with a slight sour hint from the lemon-lime soda. I was also happy that both were fresh (given it was a Too Good to Go bag, it is not unusual for some bakeries to be giving you leftovers that have often been out all day) and stayed relatively intact during my transit home from Berkeley. I thought it was a good deal for the amount of food on Too Good to Go.As the name of the business suggests, the cakes I tried were quite sweet, and I am sure the other goods they sell would also be good for a sweet tooth.

Do not miss out on Aunty Pooey's Sweet Tooth! If you're any kind of sugar/dessert fanatic, this is a must try. Aunty Pooey's is a home kitchen but the desserts are so delicious and full of flavor, I'm surprised they don't have their own storefront. It's amazing because you can tell the desserts are made with a lot of care and attention. I got to try their Lemon Loaf and Sweet Potato Crunch today, and it's probably the best dessert I've ever had in a looong time. Both were super moist, literally the perfect marriage of sugar, flour, and butter. It took so much self control to stop myself from eating the whole portion of the Sweet Potato Crunch. Each desert is around $9-10 but their portions are super generous as well -- would easily feed 2 people (or just one person, if you're like me). These desserts are rich and each box is heavy. Aunty Pooey does not skimp!Aunty Pooey offers traditional layer cakes, puddings, cobblers, pound cakes, and even vegan options! 15/10 would come again. Ordering is done by walk-in and online over DoorDash and other platforms.

Date: 6/15/2024 Time: 2:15 PM 70° SunnyAunty Pooeys Sweet Tooth was one of the food vendors at the Juneteenth Celebration at Alameda Southshore Center. I was walking by when a young lady stopped me, recommended purchasing a sweet potato pound cake, which she claimed was bomb-diggity delicious. Cost was $10.It was a hard decision as there was an assortment of pound cakes - sweet potato, 7-up, peach cobbler, lemon. The drawback I have, and it is no fault of the vendor, is I am type 2 diabetic. I have to watch my sugar intake. I wish they had sugar free pound cakes. Being a nice lady, I went ahead and purchased the sweet potato pound cake to support a black owned bakery business. I know it will take me more than a week to eat that cake. Finally, I believe my three star rating is fair and reasonable.

I got two pound cakes, a lemon pound cake and a pineapple pound cake - both were absolutely delicious! The pineapple one in particular had bits of crushed pineapple that added an extra element. Pickup was really quick and easy, it's a Black owned home business run out of a townhouse - I was greeted with a smile and a friendly, neighborly attitude. I will absolutely be back to pick up a yummy dessert again! I really love supporting local business and this one was worth every penny.

I picked up 2 pieces of cake from Too Good To Go for $5.50. One was a spice cake, and the other was red velvet, I think. They were both very good. I'll try to order direct next time, so i can try the peach cobbler.

Found this place on Yelp. Had a hard time finding it, because it's not a store bakery shop it's an apartment off the street of Sacramento. Everything was professional you ring the bell & a lady will come to door. I wanted just plain pound cake but she didn't have it, so I bought 7-up for $9. It was good

The absolute BEST Peach Cobbler I have ever tasted in my life. The perfect amount of crust to peach ratio is top tier with just the right amount of juice. Not too sweet, not too salty, but the perfect balance of flavor. The Sweet Potato Pound Cake is at the top of my list. Unlike any other pound cake I've ever tasted. Super unique, unheard of, and very delightful. The pound cake recipe is on point, super moist and the sweet potato filling adds a pop of extra flavor. Then the Chai glaze drizzled on top gives it a lovely spice profile. This one is also not too sweet but when in need of some goody sweetness, this is the perfect dessert for you. Can be eaten in the morning as breakfast with a cup of coffee or tea. (I prefer it with iced coffee ) 1000000/10 would recommend!! All of the other desserts are top tier as well.
