The food and atmosphere were perfect. The view depending on where you're sitting is nice as well. The bartender had the drinks on point.

Took about 5min to even be acknowledged upon walking in, service was terrible. The menu is less than half of what it used to be, we eat here fairly often, but not any longer. Brought a bottle of water to the table but never brought glasses for us to drink it. We were informed there are out of breakfast and out of the burger. Tried to order the club sandwich, and was informed they were out of bacon. I asked if they would provide a discount on the meal being that they were out of a key ingredient, I was informed no, and that there was no manager there, and the employee didn't have the ability to do so, and was not offered anything additional at no charge to supplement their missing ingredients. I'm not gonna pay full price for something that is missing one of the main ingredients. The highlight of the meal was the hazy ipa, which they don't make and their only job with that was to keep it cold. At no point during our visit did anyone ever come around to check on us or ask how everything was, or if we needed anything else. Needless to say, this restaurant is very poorly mismanaged and we will not be returning. The staff and management needs a complete overhaul, or a new restaurant needs to come in that knows what they are doing.

Lovedddd my experience at Assemble. I was fortunate enough to come by with family/friends that were familiar with this place so I wasn't entirely confused. Right when you come in you'll notice the bar area, and two restaurants (for lack of better words). Seating area is available inside and out. There was a BBQ option but don't know too much about them since I ate at the other location next to them. I think their name is "Brezo". Their menu was very interesting and what really caught my attention was their Gordita. I ordered their gordita with pulled pork and salad. By far the BEST gordita I've had in the bay. Not going to lie, the presentation was a bit overwhelming but don't let that stop you from giving it a try. The masa or the "Gordita" was not thick or crazy. It was made just right! And don't get me started on the beans, cheese, and pulled pork. It was delicious. And if you aren't familiar with a Gordita it's basically deep fried masa(dough) that fluffs up creating a pocket and then cut right in the middle. Once cool and cut they stuff many ingredients inside such as, beans, cheese, lettuce, meats and more. Absolutely tasty and mouth watering. A must try!

Jamie W and I have strolled the Richmond Marina several times because despite the periodic windiness, it's an especially pleasant section of the SF Bay Trail (review: https://bit.ly/3mja9Yf). Circling the yachts and passing by the Rosie the Riveter museum, we noticed there was a bustling outdoor patio where people were dining al fresco in the shadow of the historic Ford Assembly Plant. Presumably that's how Assemble got its name as it gathers four different businesses into one marketplace concept.I recalled Brezo quite fondly from their former Point Richmond location, but the only menu available that day belonged to the Rocky Island Oyster Co. No complaints though as we found enough to whet our appetites anyway. Jamie ordered the $16 Caprese Panini, which slathered a split focaccia with fresh pesto and pickled onions and inserted slices of yellow tomato and mozzarella in between. Salt & vinegar potato chips were included (photo: https://bit.ly/37XK0Ls).I went for the $20 Lil Gem Caesar Salad with Dungeness Crab Meat. It was a satisfying serving with plenty of crab and watermelon radish and croutons added for crunch (photo: https://bit.ly/3MfDFKy). We decided to share the buttery $12 Clam Chowdah! (their comic spelling, not mine). It was thankfully not too creamy and relied on clam juice for its maritime flavor (photo: https://bit.ly/3vnsisV), The waterfront setting was pretty relaxing as Richmond isn't really a tourist magnet. Assemble is under new ownership. What else is new? Table service, although the old system of ordering at the register worked as well. Higher prices. You can get specialty cocktails, like embellished Manhattans, for $19. Ouch! How was the food? My 3 street tacos lunch (about $16) were small and bland, served on cold flour tortillas. The accompanying tortilla chips bordered on awful. What was good? The fries were thin, crisp, and tasty. The bar had 4 beers on tap ($7), including an IPA and a hazy IPA from Original Pattern. Service workers were attentive and friendly. Good service is nice, but fair food and high prices are cause for pause.

Horrah horrah! From point richmond to marina bay Brezo is making a comeback. Whether by hook or by crook our local family fav foodie spot Brezo, in pt Richmond likely a victim of covid, has re-emerged with most of the fan favorites for lunch and weekend venue. You know Assemble is being "re-assembled as a bar, a BBQ, fine dining, oyster bar, local beer and wine extravaganza destination, steps away from SF ferry, Richmond terminal. To be able to walk or ride bikes here for lunch is just plain decadent. All along the bay trail most of the way. The food is as good as we remember and Hector promised a slow return to the classic Breso favs once they do pop up brunch. Can you say best chilaquiles in the bay? Oh and those blueberry pancakes too! Oh my! Welcome back Heather n Hector! We missed you! Assemble is kicking things up several notches!

After my wife and I toured the Rosie the Riverter museum and then walked over to the Assemble restaurants and dined with Brezo. Assemble is 3 restaurants located in shared seating area in the old rehabbed Ford Assembly plant.Although this is a good concept, it looks like there could be more momentum with more operators and vendors to expand the offerings. I went to yelp the day before to look for lunch opportunities near the museum, Assemble appeared to be larger than it was. In fact its 3 or 4 businesses smooshed into a small space with communal seating.I'm not sure it is enough to draw me back.

This four-star rating is a four star rating for a pandemic experience, because it isn't fair to rate businesses against their pre-COVID times at this point. Like many other restaurants, this place is understaffed and it shows. The server pretty much brings you your food and that's about it. We got our own water, utensils, to-go boxes, etc. The menu items are more limited, as I had been hoping to try their famed Frito pie, but that's due to supply chain shortages. Ordered chicken quesadilla fajitas and a portobello mushroom sandwich. Very good food, did take almost 45 minutes to come out, but there was a busy lunch rush with little staff to support it. So, even though the service is almost non-existent, the food is scrumptious and the outdoor dining with the waterfront leaves for a nice ambience. Live music played while we were there, and the location next to the Rosie the Riveter Museum and within walking distance of the Columbia outlet store is prime.

Unbeatable views of the San Francisco Bay and local marina within a few steps of the restaurant which is conveniently located near the Rosie The Riveter Museum and an excellent walking and bike path. Servers were very attentive and pleasant. Our party ordered a cheese burger, reuben, club, and tuna melt sandwiches with a couple of draft beers. The food was good, but a bit on the pricey side - burger came cooked to order with caramelized onions and a generous portion of french fries. Some items were unavailable which the server announced as we were seated so no surprises upon ordering. The restaurant is very spacious and can be on the chilly side during winter months..
