This is a fantastic restaurant. It's family run, the food tastes very authentic and oh my god, the fried chicken is possibly the best I've ever had. This is not just another south american food spot - it's your new home base. They are nice, the food is high quality, and the menu is limited and focused. The cherry juice and atole are great too. Check this place out!!!! Also, a lot of their dished come with delicious, cooked veggies, which is pretty rare compared to most of the el salvadorian and mexican spots around here.Hey Debbie M. How about you talk to the staff about your complaint next time instead of complaining about a small business publicly? I bet they would have addressed your issue and thanked you for it.

So we have always gone here once we discovered the Guatemalan Tamales which to me are so good! We had never been disappointed until tonight--my tamale which was made with pork was horrible. I had so much masa--like a lot! A little tiny piece of pork was in the middle....this tamale had absolutely no taste--there was barely any of the sauce which made the whole tamale just nothing. I am so disappointed as this has never happened ever!! But it did tonight.

After talking to a Guatemalan friend of mine about the menu I decided to come a try the Chuchito (Guatemalan style tamale) for lunch. I made a great decision because I like my masa moist but not greasy and soft but not falling apart and so the tamales that I was served were a home run. The added benefit is that they are served with a light and tasty red sauce that added just the right amount of flavor to take it over the top. The marinated chicken thigh filling was tasty too and added to the nice balance of flavor and texture as did the decorated lines of cream and lightly grilled onions on top. My mouth is watering as a write this! And now I'll admit that I love fried chicken and I ordered that too! The crispy leg quarter was flavorful, fresh and fried perfectly. I got the Chowmein which I enjoyed because of the green pepper forward flavor and the floppy but well cooked French fries. Hey have many unique Latin American drinks to choose from and the restaurant is clean and all of the staff are friendly and have a inviting vibe.
